Granite City in Eagan is terrible. My wife and I love going out for Sunday Brunch. We will never go back to Granite City. The best part of our dining experience was the beverages. Which were Mountain Dew and Iced tea. If you are considering going to Granite City for their Saturaday or Sunday Brunch please read this. You are wasting your money. Unless you like ice cold food and meteocre service. Some of the things we tried and never finished. 1.) Caesar salad, luke warm and the dressing is very watery. You need to teach you kitchen people how to dry off the lettuce before dressing it. 2.) Cheesy potatoes, cold and burnt. How can this be, if you burnt them shouldnt they be hot. 3.) Bacon and Sausage, cold. 4.) Scrambled eggs, ice cold. 5.) Eggs benedict. A poor excuse for a great dish. When you had your eggs benedict station they were half assed. Now theyre egg mc muffins with holandaise sauce on them. 6.) Pasta.. Granite Citys take on spaghettti. Had no taste. Learn how to make spaghetti before you insult the italian population. 7.) Prime rib. Cold and the carver was terrible. I think she was a hostess plugged into position without any training. 8.) French toast and waffles. Cold and the taste is something to be desired. 9.) Made to order omelets. You know you are bombing on everything else when your omelet station is the busiest in the restaurant. But you should teach your people how to properly make an omelet without burning them. Managers at Granite City, dont ask your guests how everything is if you are just going to ignore their concerns. If the truth hurts, go back into your closet like office and pray for the day to end. The manager actually came to our table and asked how everything was. I told him everything was cold. He said "wow, Ill go check on everything and talk to my kitchen staff." He went directly into the office and never came out while we were still there. All this for $40 for two for brunch. Save you money people and if this is the kind of food you like, do yourself a favor and go to OCB, youll save a few bucks. We will never return to Granite City for brunch or any other meal. There service and food is terrible and their managers dont care. People of Eagan, wake up and step up, if nobody tells them the way it is, theyll never change it.

only the food, we called ahead, cause we were working in town and got lost getting there. The individual that I talked was very helpful, good directions, and said he would tell the head cook we would be 2 mins past the grill time. Walked in, greeted by the phone employee who answered the phone in the parking lot. 11:04 pm. He informed us the grill was still on for us, but we should order right away. We agreed, went and sat at the bar, while older male bartender waited on a table if about 10 employees for ten minutes, 11:14. Finally, a younger blonde chick walked up and gave us the ap menu, I said we called ahead, and were told the grill was left on for us. She came back at 11:22 and asked what wed like. Without a menu, we couldnt order. 11.25 she came with a menu, we ordered immediately. At 11:40, when our food came, she asked if wed like something to drink. 21 minutes at the bar, 2 hours before closing, and we finally got our only beverage, she never returned for another round, she too busy closing I guess, even though it was 90mins away. Our burgers were awesome, but the staff was too busy waiting in the employees table to return to us. Left my flip pin 20 percent anyway, hopefully they share tips and the shitty bartenders have to share with the cooks and the greeter. Total thumbs down on a weekend

Two consecutive bad experiences. About 6 months ago I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with Coleslaw. Sandwich was ok, but the Coleslaw had a 3" round piece of cardboard (probably from the lid of a container) in it. I pointed it out to the waitress and the manager stopped at the booth. I said it wasnt edible and they offered a new bowl of coleslaw, but come on, Im not going for another bowl of cardboard-chokey slaw. I got no discount and was fully charged for everything. Yesterday I ordered the Cuban again, they changed the recipe and it was not very good. The pork was chopped in 1 inch square pieces and the ham tasted funny. I opened the sandwich (originally looking for the cheese as the sandwich only had cheese on half of it) and notice a glob of green on the edge of the deli sliced ham, hopefully it was some gross spice rather than mold, but it tasted like dirt. I had two to three bites and couldnt stomach the rest. The prices are way too high to get such a disappointing meal. Glasses, silverware, tables and plates were clean, but the seats were full of crumbs and greasy looking. Bathroom stall doors were dirty and full of fingerprints - dont ask me how that happens, but it is very noticeable and pretty disgusting. A general feeling of who cares...no one takes pride in anything they serve.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the food was actually really good. My BFF and I both had burgers and they were delicious. The rest of the experience was a different story. Service was awful, we rarely saw our server. We sat for 10-15 minutes before she even came to the table, we ordered our food with our drinks and didnt see her again until we were almost finished eating. We ordered a second drink and shortly after that arrived she flew by and put our bill on the table. We hadnt even asked for it and were planning to get another drink and dessert. We had to ask another server for help. Then, we finished dessert and sat for 25 minutes waiting to see our waitress again, we finally had another server get the manager. He apologized and took $5 off of our bill. The happy hour drinks and meals were good deals, but we ordered 3 of the same drink and they tasted different each time. The restaurant is loud and very VERY bright. The booths may be more comfortable, but the table/chairs arent very comfortable or inviting. Whoever is in the kitchen seems to be the only one who has it together. The food was amazing. Burgers cooked perfectly and fries were seasoned just right. Creme brûlée was delicious.

LOVED coming here for dinner. One of their enthusiastic employees made such an impression on us at the most recent Brew at the Zoo this past Friday that we had to stop in. Even though the parking lot was nearly full, we had no trouble getting a table and our waitress came right over. She was really friendly and helpful. She explained all the beers to us and took the time to tell us about a few of the more popular items on the menu. I had the Grilled Asian Chicken Salad which really hit the spot. My boyfriend had the Fish Taco Trio which had plenty of substance and a nice zingy sauce on them. We tried their beer sampler and were not disappointed. You get a decent amount of beer for $5 that way. Plus its a great way to figure out which beer suits your tastes best. IPA, oatmeal stout, lager, bock, plus all theyre seasonal taps. Theyll have something you like. We decided to join their Mug Club. You can earn points every time you eat or drink there and use the points to get coupons. The food, beer, and service was so good that well definitely be going back. Why wouldnt we want to earn points while were at it? Granite City in Eagan might just become your new favorite restaurant, so go check them out!
