I’ve been going to Doolittle’s for at least 10 years, on Saturday I convinced my coworkers to go there for a work party. We were a group of 11 people, all of us had dinner and drinks everything was going well the service was very slow but since we weren’t in a rush that wasn’t too much of a problem, just really annoying. After dinner some of the group was ready to go so we closed out the bill however some of us about 6 people wanted to continue sitting on the patio to have drinks. Most restaurants would like customers to stay and spend money at their establishment but that was not the case at Doolittle’s. After placing our drink orders the manager came up to our table and said that we were not going to be served any further. I and everyone at the table were completely shocked after three hours spending $500 this is how they treat their customers?! I explained to her that I’m here to treat my employees we were a large group so I’m not sure why we weren’t being served any further. Then the manager had the nerve to say “your server thought you were leaving anyway” as if my money is no good there. The way the manager went about everything was so rude and unnecessary that after all these years of being a loyal customer I will never go back to this place and I hope the owners of Doolittle’s see this review so they know that their manager is causing the business to lose money and customers.

This is the go-to place for my boyfriend and me for any special occasion, whether its my birthday, his birthday, Valentines Day, or any celebration. Its our absolute favorite restaurant! We have been to this location many times and have never been disappointed. For lunch, I recommend the Salmon Burger, Prime Rib French Dip, and Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich. They are the best Ive ever had! You walk in and can just smell the amazing aroma of the rotisserie chickens cooking. For dinner, you cant go wrong with the Lemon-Scented Salmon. My boyfriend loves the Prime Rib French Dip as well, but for dinner he opts for the Filet of Beef Tenderloin. The decor and atmosphere are equally amazing. Im having an exceptional dining experience without having to pay an arm and a leg for it. Just as importantly as the food and atmosphere, all of the waitstaff and servers have been outstanding! They are all trained well and conduct themselves so professionally. Service-wise and food-wise, I have never had a bad experience. We will keep coming back!

I recently had colleagues coming in from out of town and needed a place to take them for dinner. We wanted to keep it close to their hotel, but stay away from the usual Mall of America restaurants that we always take them to. Doolittles was the ticket! Being from "down south," they thought they had the corner on the market for meat. I was happy to prove them wrong. We started off with the Buffalo Wings with homemade ranch and blue cheese dip. Im pretty sure 4/6 wings were gone before we even had a chance to touch the sauces! The service was friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive. We had a reservation, so while there were other tables around, we had a very nice, secluded booth to catch up. Literally every food that touched the table was delicious and devoured! The ribs/chicken combo was probably enough to share, but that didnt slow us down. Also, the pork medallions were superb. Thank you Doolittles for being just "different" enough to be perfectly refreshing, and delicious to boot! "Yall" made me look good!

Dootlittles is one of those few restaurants that have food that tastes just as good as it smells on the outside. Ive been going there for ages, it used to have awesome plans and old aviation stuff (named after James Doolittle), but a quite a few years back, it changed to kind of a run of the mill "fancier" eatery. It wasnt a bad thing, just kind of a shame (in my opinion). My personal prefrence, however, has never derailed the quality of the food. Whether its steak, chicken, grilled cheese, ribs - hell even the salads are great (and Im not a salad guy) - you cant really go wrong. Doolittles takes Americana food and makes it stand out with great flavor and great service. I never have trouble recommending it to family and friends. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you paid for - good food in a good area, served by some greater waiters and waitresses.

Been in town for about a month and Doolittles served the best filet Ive had since moving here. The steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Jakes City Grill offered a filet that was tough and so undercooked that it was cold red in the center. Sure I could have, and did send it back, but Jake should have gotten it right the first time. To be fair, Jakes has the best burgers in town. My single visit to Axels Bonfire was an awful experience. (see my review) The atmosphere in Doolittles is cozy and quieter than most. The service is friendly and prompt. Love sitting by the fireplace. Ill make a third trip to Doolittles soon.

First off, the smell. How can one NOT swoon over the smokey wood fire smell billowing out of this place? Second off, the taste. Of succulent, smokey wood fired meat. The prices average 18 per plate. 11 per appetizer. The ambiance in the main room is lack luster with dusty gray ventilation shafts hanging from the ceiling and a vague aviation theme and bar in the middle. There looked to be a much more cozier room with a fireplace off to one side. Our waitress was upbeat and prompt. On the weekends it is very crowded and noisy. Would go back solely for the smokey-lovely meat.

By far my favorite place to eat so far in the Twin Cities area. Classy, great environment, wonderful oak and meat smell and not too pricey. Just inside the front door they have a giant spit roaster with fresh rotisserie chicken and ribs on it giving the restaurant a phenomenal smell. Service has always been great from the 4 or 5 times that weve been there. I especially like the half chicken and half ribs plate, it is incredible! we also very much enjoyed the walleye fingers as an appetizer. If you have the chance definitely check out Doolittles!

We visited Dolittles tonight for the first time. We were impressed by the decor. The food was good, the prices were great, BUT what could have been a great experience was completely overshadowed by VERY poor service. Our waitress Stephanie went out of her way to make our experience a bad one. From her quick nos, ignoring us, not checking on us, not placing our order as requested and so much more I wont bother to mention. It doesnt matter if your food and prices are good, if theres bad service you will loose customers. As they did tonight.

When you drive in to Doolittles you can smell the the wood fire grill outside. Once you walk in the smell is even better, you walk past the wood fire cooker which is pretty cool to see the food prepared. I had Ahi tuna as a app and it was amazing if you love sea food or fish, its a must try. My friend had the salmon quesadilla app that was something else super good. We both had the ribs and chicken, the meat literally was juicy with flavor and fell off the bones. This place is a must try, service amazing.
