Came at 1030 on a Monday. Not exactly the peak hours. Sat down and ordered a drink and a burger right away. The bartender made me the wrong drink and delivered it reasonably quickly after finishing her conversation with the other guests at the bar. She dropped it off and it was not what I ordered. I tried to ask her if it was a different drink and she walked off before I could get out "is this" while insisting that I had received what I ordered. I picked my drink up and followed her down the bar to ask for what i had ordered and she felt it was appropriate to say "oh now you dont like it?". I told her to cancel my order and left. I never had a sip of my drink because I watched her make it wrong all the way down the bar but didnt want to call her out in front of all of her guests. Worst part is I have visited the tavern weekly for about a year and usually put up with the mediocre service because they have one of my favorite burgers. My apologies to the uptown tavern staff for having been such a burden. I had intended to have a couple of drinks after work and enjoy a meal but I guess I will have to find a new spot to frequent. Very disappointed with the attitude management feels is acceptable for these girls to have. Most of the staff isnt so bad but there is one bartender in particular that works the first floor bar at nights and you will most certainly recognize her when she is looking at you from the other side of the bar because she will either call you babe repeatedly or be very short with you depending upon her mood.

NO SERVICE Wife and I wanted to have drinks and lunch Saturday afternoon (4-14) about 2:15. We spotted Uptown Tavern & Rooftop and thought we would give it a try. BIG MISTAKE. I can not tell you how anything was since we were never served. Slight wait for rooftop table, so we were pointed to the railing to have a drink, and wait our turn. No problem...... until the waitress completely ignored us, taking drink orders from groups on either side of us. Did no good to turn towards her, trying to make eye contact. She even came back and served one couple a "second time", still ignoring us. I gave up and went to the bar tyo get a drink for us. Waited my turn with money in hand only to be completely ignored by the three employees behind the bar. I went back to my wife "pretty much ticked off" and let her know we needed to leave. Let me tell you...... we are both in our mid fifties, dress well, shower regularly, and eat out alot. I know when a place is so busy that staff is having a hard time keeping up....... i am ok with that. This was not the case at Uptown Tavern, my wife may have hit the nail on the head when she thought "age discrimination". We just did not fit the customer profile they wanted, so we got the cold shoulder. Too bad "our profile" is the one where most or all kids have moved out, we have time to go out to eat/drink as much as we want......... and are very good repeat customers of the places we like. Uptown Tavern is missing out on many potential customers such as my wife and I, and those who we talk to.

TERRIBLE service. We waited a good 10 minutes before our server came over. Didnt smile or say hi or anything just asked if we wanted something to drink. She didnt check on us once, and would roll her eyes at us if we asked for anything. We had been done eating and she didnt bring our check for 20 minutes, but shed look right at us and walk away, and stopped at the table next to us 5-7 times. After the the 20 minutes we asked for a manager and told her what had happened and she apologized and said shed run our cards for us. She gave them back to our server who brought them over and said "Here" and walked away. And the food wasnt even good. I definitely do not recommend this place. Terrible service mediocre food. so we asked for a manager and told her everything

Arrived on a Saturday with friends to have bloodies and some lunch. Waitress forgot an appetizer order initially, then waited over half an hour to stop at our table again. We were in utter amazement as other tables sat down, ordered and received food from her in that time. At one point we had 8 empty glasses on the table. We eventually ordered food and she missed an entree order. Waitress was rude and very unprofessional. After asking for our checks, she put an appetizer (the one we had to order twice because she forgot about it) on the wrong ticket, and waited 5 minutes between running our cards and delivering the receipts. Food and atmosphere were good, but the disappointing treatment absolutely ruined the meal.

Our server was very rude. Agruged about where I got my drink at. Told me they only had a certain cider downstairs and upstairs. Which is true but they have more selections downstairs. Which is where I get my cider. After explaining it to her about the how I got it when I walked in at the bar. Still proceeded to argue with me about it. After a couples minutes she reluctantly gets me the other cider.didnt check on drinks for about 20 minutes when other people at my table had there empty drinks at the edge of the table. Complained to another waitess about our drinks. She completely messed up our tab and seemed very pissy to fix the seats when it was pointed out.

Went for a late dinner on a Tuesday night around 8:30, so not during peak hours. Lots of empty tables, and yet it still took around 15 minutes to have our drink order taken, and another 50 for our food (a salad and a burger) to arrive. The wait staff were sweeping the floor needlessly and simply not present. We had to ask for our tab and our server didnt even pick it up to run it or bring it back - they just left. The food was sub-par, but even that can be made up for if the atmosphere is fun and the staff provide good service. Unfortunately I dont recommend even for a beer and appetizer due to poor service - really disappointing.

Our server, Olivia, was lovely. She was very enthusiastic. She provided great service and made my friends and I feel very welcome. She was so personable! I gave a 3 out 5 because as I went to the bar on the rooftop, the blonde bartender with the dark lipstick was completely rude and unprofessional. She made me feel very inferior. As a server myself, I was appauled. I know what it means to smile and greet a customer. She gave me the worst customer service. As a paying customer, who had received many recommendations to come to uptown tavern, I was very disappointed and had much higher expectations.

Giving it a one star is an exaggeration. Went here for a friends birthday, and honestly couldnt imagine having a worse experience. The server (Courtney) was rude and inattentive. Two of my girlfriends didnt even get their food (wings) the whole time we were there. How difficult is it to get an order (barbecue boneless wings) right? Because it literally took her 5 tries. Then to top it off, after paying $45 dollars on a $32 dollar tab they have the decency to tell me I didnt pay for my food/drinks? Get real. Rude and incompetent service. Wouldnt recommend this dump to my worst enemies.
