Its fine. Although I feel the place deserves closer to two stars, I wouldnt want to deter business by being cruel and giving a lesser review. ADVICE: YOU may want to address and find a resolution to the prevalent and overwhelming unpleasant odor in the eastmost section of the establishment where kareoke is hosted. Other then than that, my drink was strong and your bartender near the kitchen received a 05.00 tip initially and much more during my my stay.... I think. Good drinks for sure.

We have been going to this place for 30 years. It is the neighborhood place, but we are no longer in the neighborhood, now 25 miles away. We still go here for the great burgers. Usually if you call ahead to order, its way less wait time for your food, otherwise its a good hour...and I aint kidding! Make sure if you didnt order ahead...you arent starving. Or you can do pull tabs or drink. People who complain about the wait or the "ambiance" dont know the routine.

We stopped on during a busy lunch hour for food and a cocktail. Our server was extremely friendly and right on top of her game. She checked in with is consistently, offered refills and additional drinks regularly, and checked in to ensure our food and experience was to our liking. The food was awesome. Typical bar food menu with awesome burgers. Everything was priced right and we were in and out within a decent time. A great spot for a quick fill on good eats!

Went here off a suggestion from Artistic Deviants down the street. Expected a "run of the mill" bacon cheeseburger but I have to say that it is far from that. 1/2lb fresh burger with an amazing taste. Fries were...fries, but overall the burger was fantastic. Good prices with a wooden, sportsy feel. Definitely will come back. The grill is small, so try to get there during downtimes or Id expect the wait to be longer. Enjoy!

A popular place that has been in existence forever. That being said, theres no sign whatsoever that tells you what the building is. Its for locals and they along with wait staff are known to get an attitude if youre percieved as an outsider... read ~ regular barfly. I can do without and avoid the place except when impromto gatherings among friends pop up.

It looks like a dive bar as you drive up, but dont let it fool you. Great burgers, fries & tots, and affordable drinks make this place a must see at least once in your life. All ages hang out for the Meat Raffles, Bingo, Pull Tabs and Karaoke. A small patio with a bags game adds to the fun.

I am not sure who these people are that are bashing this establishment for bad service and food but they are so far off it isnt even funny! Been going here for years and they have great burgers and I have never had bad service. This is a classic.

All the staff Ive interacted with are on point. There is a small grill and a couple of fryer baskets behind the bar so there is only so much throughput on food. The food is delicious and the Monday burger deal is the best in the area

Food here is okay but the music was WAY too loud when we went. My friends and I were looking for karaoke on a Wednesday night, read that there was some that night, but that wasnt the case when we arrived.

If your lookin for a great burger and a brew, Short Stop is the place. Lots of room and a great patio. Only gave it 4 stars cause Im in a wheelchair and the bathrooms are not handycapped accessible.
