The food is MARGINAL. I would describe it as on "the lower rung of Chinese food made for what THEY think Americans like". On many occasions we have called to order and they dont even answer their phone. However, on the days that we actually get through, the employees are nice and theyve never screwed up a delivery order. In fact, if they feel that the wait time is too long, they will give us complimentary egg rolls (which is really a great gesture, but theyre rather gross {pork and carrots in a wrap} so they dont get eaten). If youre reading this and you like chinese food from any place you go, then you probably like Bamboo Village. if you consider yourself an asian food connoisseur, good luck finding something you can eat and feel satisfied. I wish chinese restaurants would make authentic chinese food!! This restaurant is close, relatively fast and halfway descent alternative to cooking.

Slow service! When I say slow, I mean s l o w. You wait forever to get served, for the food to come out, and for your receipt. Dont bother calling this place for an order either. Each time weve called, they some how screw up the order. Last time, we called back and told them about their mistake. The manager said he put down our number and we would get a free meal when we return. One week later, we called in again. We showed up to pay and they didnt know anything about a discount for lackadaisical service. Not to mention, they screwed up our order again. Over salty entrees, greasy food, and poor service. Im surprised this place remains in business. Weve been using them for well over 7 years and due to the decline, they lost some faithful customers. Save your money and head elsewhere.

2.5 miles away, 1.5hrs without delivery. They took our information incorrectly, and after waiting 75 minutes for our order we called to find out what was going on. We had them confirm our information and corrected it. We then asked for them to repeat the new, corrected information, which was again wrong. They said it was on its way. We gave it another 20 minutes before calling back to inquire when we could expect delivery, only to be told it had just left the restaurant. We said they should just cancel the order since it has been over 1.5hrs since the order was placed and we didnt want cold food. We were sworn at ("Im just trying to get the hell out of here") and then hung up on. Needless to say, we wont be giving this restaurant a 2nd chance.

We ordered food for lunch to be delivered, 7 orders all to be delivered to the same location. We called early knowing the restaurant was within a very short walk to our location. After food had not been delivered in over an hour we called to find out what happened. The food suddenly showed up with a $3 delivery charge X 7 orders! We were charged 7 delivery fees a total of $21 to have our lunches delivered! The delivery person didnt speak English, supposedly. I called the restaurant to ask why they charged for each lunch to be delivered& was told they would look into it. The food is fine but what a bunch of thieves on the delivery, not enough fortune cookies for each order or extra condiments or utensils were sent either!!

Phenomenal Que Viet egg rolls (Gluten Free with rice paper) & theyre huge!!! We were confused because the old owners sign was up, but was assured once inside that it was the new Coon Rapids location for Bamboo Village.... a local Anoka restaurant with a solid reputation. Theyre still working on their signage... no problem for us now that we know theyre there because the food was fantastic. I have a ton of food sensitivities, but was very happy when they were willing to make my Beef with Rice Noodles dish with no sauce (should have seen the guys face when I asked!). We will be regulars now for certain, even if theyre gearing themselves as more for take out & delivery vs site down..

We have been a long time fan of the egg rolls and ordered them a couple times a month. We placed a order last night and it was not even close to what we have come to expect. The egg rolls where half the size of normal. Still taste great but way smaller. They also changed the fried rice it was awful and not really rice but more like a mush with frozen peas and carrots with very little flavor. I called to complain but hung up after being on hold for a couple minutes. Will be taking our business elsewhere. Update: The daughter and I ate the beef lomein. Our stomachs are not well.

It would be one thing if I had only ordered from this establishment once, but I have tried them on three seperate occasions for delivery, and each time they have taken well over an hour to get to me, regardless of the vicinity in which I order from ( 2.5 miles) They often times deliver food with no silverware and are rude on the phone while I make the order. Its clear that they do not know how to operate a business that values its patrons. I will not be eating here or ordering from this place again.

We bought four servings of fried rice and sesame chicken. The service was good, but the food was absolutely horrible. The "fried rice" was anything but fried rice; it was tasteless and looked as if they just poured a little sauce over some white rice. Even plain rice would have stayed better than what we had received. The chicken was also bland, but thankfully it was not as bad as the rice. We will definitely not be coming back ever again, and will tell others about our terrible experience.

I had a bad craving for pad thai so I Googled Thai food near me. For the first time ordering form Bamboo Village and its delicious. The service was a little slow,but not bad.The egg rolls are huge and delicious, the cream cheese wontons are light crispy and sweet and the chicken pad thai is pretty darn good for the price. The only thing that I didnt like was the fried rice, way too much soy sauce for my liking. And they deliver! Ill definitely order from here again.

Very excited to try this place. I had three ppl in from of me order and I went about my order. The ppl in front of me proceededto pay with cash as I did not. As I finished my order the waitress or must be co owner walks back in the kitchen and with the fan door is open and without washing her hands digs deep in this big ass pot along with other pots grabbing food and tossing it on a grill or whatever. Just disgusting.

Good food, with the opposite of customer service. We thought something from our order was missing, and were told that they would be right over to correct it. After 40 minutes, we called again. They said that they determined it was not missing, so didnt send anybody. No call to tell us that. No apology for saying one thing and doing another. Disappointing disservice from a place we used to enjoy.

Looks like they didnt want any business on a Friday night from us. We received a menu in the mail yesterday and decided to give this bamboo village a try BUT I called and was put on hold for 8 minutes, I hung up and than called back about four times and no answer... Hmm sounds like their management/employee skills suck. We were looking forward to trying a new place but didnt get the opportunity to.
