Simple exterior, very clean and welcoming interior. Definitely a restaurant for those who enjoy the smaller and finer things in life. This restaurant quickly became one of my favorite locations for food in general, not just Asian cuisine. Catering to the known Chinese choices of food, this restaurant takes quality pretty seriously, as well as delivering with great precision and speed. A few minutes wait after ordering, and you will have one of the best prepared Asian dishes available at these price points. Thats another thing to mention: you will be hard pressed to find another Asian food restaurant that matches the speed, precision, quality, and price this place has. Highly suggested stop for either a quick bite, or full meal.

I dont often get to eat out Asian food with my childrens tastes, but I have been very happy with their selection when I get to go. The service is fast (although I could have ordered ahead to speed things up even more) and the huge fish tank is a great distraction for my kids. The food reminds me a lot of the places I liked in college, and the prices arent outrageous - just like the places I ate at in college. Getting in from the south side is easy, but to get in from the north you actually have to drive past the restaurant and go in the driveway just south of the building that Lucky Bamboo is in.

I called in to order 15 minutes before pick-up and the food was ready by the time I entered the doors. I had the lunch item with chicken and broccoli. It came with fried rice, 1 eggroll, 1 crabrangoon, sweet and sour dip, hot and sour soup, and a fortune cookie. The rice tasted like plain steam rice. The soup was bland. I recommend Hy-vee sweet and sour soup over Lucky Bamboos. The chicken and broccoli was really good. All else were just alright. The food was hot by the time I got back to my office to eat it. Overall, this experience was pretty good, but it could also be better :)

Yes the taste of the food is good, but there is many negatives about this place here are some; 1. You have to pay cash seems a bit out of touch for this day in age. 2. I ordered shrimp lo mein and the shrimp was about the size of a dime (I paid $9 bucks they should at least give you 4 to 5 big shrimp) 3. I ordered chicken & shrimp fried rice and the portion was too small it was pathetic. I also ordered crab ragoons and got egg rolls instead so yes the service was bad. I tried this place 3 times and it was three strikes your out for me.

Came here on 7-17. I ordered a single dish & crab ragoons to go & finally got it 18 minutes later & hearing a phone order called in that said itll be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. A customer behind me had his order to go & got his delivered before mine. I live less than 5 minutes away & the food was lukewarm except for the eggroll & soup. Great food after warming it up in the microwave but not so great service.

Usually a good place and all.but I have food poisoning along with my wife today.I had to leave work.I did notify them so hopefully no one else gets it.I posted about it on Facebook and I have a lot of people on there.another person had the same issue a couple years ago. As much as I liked it I wont go back.I lose 80$ from leaving work 4 hours early. Aint chancing it again.

Pho...ask for the steak sliced thin and left raw on the side so you can cook it in the hot broth as you go. That way, every bite is cooked to perfection. Best pho weve found in the metro. And Lao, the owner, is a very gracious host. Hell help you find new options youve never tried before. Like mixing hoisin sauce with lime to dip the steak in...delicious!

The dining area is "brand new" clean, and the staff were friendly and courteous. My food was fantastic. The sauce was tasty without being overly strong. I was a little disappointed with the ball of fried rice. For fried rice it was awfully similar to steamed white rice. Great experience, best we have found in Ankeny so far.

Super friendly staff. Good prices. Food was on point! I got the General Taos with sauce on the side, and the Sweet and sour chicken. The only thing I wish I would have known the Sweet and Sour Chicken came IN the sauce, when I got home it was already soggy. Yummy food all around though, Ill def be back again :)

We just moved back to the area and I was so happy that Lucky Bamboo was still up and going strong. They have great meal sizes and great prices. They have great fried rice and they change the soup (that comes with your meal) everyday. They are really friendly and I would highly recommend them!

We just moved to Ankeny and stumbled across Lucky Bamboo. We were more than happy with our experience, and we will definitely be returning here in the future. The food was good, prices were affordable, and the service was great! It is definitely worth your time to check this place out.

We just found this place tonight and it is fantastic!!! There was a line when I got there but the workers got us through the line quickly. Our food was made to order and came out quickly and very hot. This place has a lot of options for the price. This is a must try for anyone.

Lucky Bamboo has excellent service and food. Wide variety to choose from with exceptional prices. Specials include entre, rice, crab ragoon, egg roll, and soup for around $5 - $6. Service is fast and friendly and food is always the right temperature and taste amazing!

Food is great... sometimes. Ive been to this location numerous times and have found that the food is sometimes amazing and sometimes its like they took it out of the refrigerator and heated it up. Ive always gone around dinner time and its always been somewhat busy.

By far the best chinese place in town. Quick ordering and the service is great, too. Only downside to the place is that they dont take credit/debit cards, so youll need cash or check, but its worth it to go out of your way to get cash on the way to the restaurant.

Our family LOVES Lucky Bamboo. It is the only Chinese we ever eat. It is fast and the portions are excellent, you really get a lot for you money. The service is always friendly. We love their new remodel! Wish they would deliver!

Good potstickers/dumplings. The egg drop soup was extremely disappointing. I feel like I should give it another shot because I might have missed something, but it didnt knock my socks off.

This resturant is the best resturant I have ever been to. Cheap, tasty, quick, friendly, and as the people requested they added a way to pay with card. This is a great resturant. Do try!
