Came in one afternoon for a late lunch. Waited 45 minutes for our food. While waiting, the kids kept pointing out that the last 3 parties after us already got their food. It did look like they were short staffed for the day, but that still doesnt give them the right to ignore their customers. I can see you looking at me, while serving everyone else their food, but still you didnt bother to offered me any other assistance. While we watched everyone else eat. When we finally have up waiting and decided to cancel our order after 45 mins. Our "SERVER/ BARISTA" offered us an FREE order off Eggrolls for the inconvenience but well have to WAIT. We kindly declined and took our business else where.

Cant describe how mad I am. Havent had a meal all day and my pops going through kemo therapy at mercy & trying to get some soup for him. First off the place wasnt pack probably 3 table and I was seated down and waited 30mins with the menu and no one bother to come and take my order. Useless waiter felt like I was invisible to them do I have to wave you down to tell you how to do your job. Just piss off because I wanted to get food for my dad. Just got up and left not ever coming to this joint ever again bad service.

Terrible food. We LOVE Vietnamese food. Spring rolls were good. Eggrolls burned. Fried rice seemed two days old DRY. We left our entire entrees on the table... they didnt even bother to ask why we wouldnt eat or need carry out boxes. Paid in full $40 and tipped appropriately nevertheless. Save yourself time and money and go ANYWHERE else. I tried the recommended Lemon Grass Chicken... looked like something from the garbage disposal, tasted about the same plus incredibly slimy.

Have tried Pho one other time so not expert by ant means. Came here on a friday evening there was a diverse crowd. Personally I liked the decor, no need for a place to be something its not. The food to me tasted like what I might imagine I would be able to get over seas. Loved it here. Defintely a new spot, the menu has a wide variety. We got # 1 #2 #20 #21 awesome

The staff at this restaurant were pretty unfriendly. We felt more like invited guests in someones home than paying customers in a restaurant. With the exception of the crab Rangoons (which were excellent), the food was mediocre at best. The pleasure did not outweigh the pain in this restaurant experience. I would not return to it as it is today.

I LOVE this place. I always recommend my friends to eat there mainly because of their one of a kind Pho. They make it like no where else does. Most of these bad reviews are because people are too picky and dont know anything about cultural food. Pho takes a minimum of 4 hours to make people!! Yes its gonna be slow service but its worth the wait!!

This restaurant has a delicious menu that features Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai foods and drinks. This is where my friends and I go when we are craving a Thai iced tea and one of Des Moines best combination fried rice! The atmosphere is super laid back, nothing swanky. And, it has one if the most diverse clientele in town! A true hidden gem.

I remember eating here at least once every week when I used to live in Des Moines. Its just really good Vietnamese food in general. There Beef Meatball Pho is classic and the combination fried rice used to be my roommates favorite. Its good and cheap food, no complaints whatsoever! I still eat here when I go back to visit :)

I would rate It 5 stars but everytime I come in get this rude waitress. She takes forever and her face expressions show she does not want to be there. I have to always go up and tell her were ready to order. She does not deserve a tip even though I feel bad, she should be better at her job.

I ordered Bun Bo Hue to go. Got home and discovered they gave me Pho instead. Im not saying their Pho is bad but it wasnt what I wanted and it wasnt what I paid for. There are too many places in this town that serve excellent Pho when I want it. It will be a while until I come back

The food was good and it look fine but sometime I see one of the worker sneez.I think they should wear glove and wash their hand more. Other than that the food was great.Maybe improvement on the bathroom and service when they first serve us water when we come in.

Pho888 is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. They serve authentic food at a decent price. The ambient is not that great but i dont mind since their food is so good. Pho888 is always my first choice for Vietnamese restaurant

Food is always good. Service always sucks. Would it give it five stars if I didnt have to go up to the counter and order my own food and get my own water. Wait staff comes over 20 mins later and asks me if Im ready.

We had pho which had an authentic taste and reminded us of our visit to Vietnam. Its reasonably priced and good service. I would highly recommend. Couldnt believe that we found a restaurant in Des Moines.

Waited over 40 mins for a Thai Tea, had to remind them 4 times. Literally 4 times. Food is okay, I guess. But if you want to eat better food for a cheaper price, go to habachi grill on 22nd street in

Pho sure one of the tastiest Pho shops in town. Wide selection of Vietnamese, Thai, and "Chinese" dishes. Try the rare beef pho (#21) or the grilled meat with an egg roll on vermicelli (#27).

Never made it into the restaurant. I asked to be seated in a quiet zone of the restaurant because I was visiting from out of town by myself on business and needed to enjoy a working dinner.

Great pho, and a ton of other dishes to choose from. They can be a little slow sometimes, so dont go if youre in a hurry, but its a fantastic place for a leisurely, delicious lunch.

Food was good. Especially the spicy noodles, but we had a large party come in and they seemed very disorganized in getting the food out to us.

Good food, relatively cheap, & well worth the visit. But service was a bit slow, and cleanliness of floors / bathroom more of a 1 or 2 out of 5
