Wait was not as long as we expected, and the server was polite, cheerful and VERY attentive. We sat out in the "balcony" area overlooking the mall, looking out at BWW and Kokomos, which added nice atmosphere but was not overly noisy or busy (if I could talk to my dad with mild hearing loss without having to shout, its a good sign.) If youre going to get an appetizer get the seafood hush pups: DELICIOUS golden brown cornbread spheres with tender and juicy shrimp and fish, and comes with a tasty remoulade dipping sauce. I got the shrimpers heaven which comes with french fries, coconut shrimp fried shrimp, cold peel and eat shrimp and tempura shrimp. The tempura was the best of the bunch, warm and crisp with a batter that isnt thick and gummy. Coconut shrimp was nice and sweet though some of the coconut flakes seemed a bit too overly brown. Fried shrimp wasnt as interesting but not overcooked, perfect with the cockail sauce. Peel and eat was definitely the most boring compared to the free, a little chewy and not the best at holding any of the sauces (delicious cajun marmelade, tempura soy based dipping sauce and cocktail sauce.) Fries were nicely hot, salty and crispy. If youre going to order a beer stay away from the safe and boring domestic big-brewer beers and try a wonderful local microbrew: Surly Furious. Its the only American IPA Ive had that didnt burn a hole in my tongue; clean, crisp, beautiful colored with nice notes of grapefruit. The most disappointing thing was probably the price point; theres almost nothing on the menu below $11, but I suppose thats par for the course with chain seafood restaurants. Overall, if you want tasty shrimp in a fun environment while youre out shopping, this is a good pick.

Its not that bad but not that great either. Would have been nice to know which shrimp entrées were warm and which were chilled. The staff were nice and fun to talk to. The food over all was pretty good, the coconut shrimp was a little too close to burnt for my liking however. Probably the best hushpuppies I have had. The cost was a little on the higher side so I am not feeling like I got my monies worth unfortunately. What we had, Across America sampler, shrimpers heaven, shrimp po boy. Most satisfying of that group was the po boy with some hot sauce. Would I come back? Maybe if some one else was paying and they chose to come here. Is it worth your time? If you like seafood its pretty good at moa and most likely cheaper than other places (also maybe not as good) Give it a shot of you are feeling adventurous and wanna get some good po boys. Staff 4/5 Cost $$ (most entrées are over 11 bucks) Atmosphere 4/5 Food quality 3.5/5

This restaurant is one of the great places to get the best seafood in the MN area, top notch service, friendly staff, mouth-watering food and nice atmosphere. Everything in this restaurant is themed from the Forrest Gump movie, from the décor to the serving, if you are not a fan of the movie by the time you leave you will be. The food is delicious I would recommend the Net Catch Entree, their twist on a craw fish boil with shrimp. Also the Forrest’s Seafood Feast is a hearty serving of hand breaded Fried Shrimp, Fish & Chips and served with seafood hush pups. Don’t forget to try the Strawberry Lemonade it truly is to die for, and after all of that if you have room for dessert try the Hook, Line & Sinker. It is a smorgasbord of desserts that you can share or not.

Yes this is a chain restaurant, but we had a really good experience. I ordered the grilled seafood treo, and substituted veggies (broccoli) for the rice. My friend ordered the fishermans feast. Suzanne our server did a great job, and everything was delicious. When we needed service we just flipped the license plate to the red side "STOP FOREST STOP". The Mascot even cam out and waived at us! On the slightly negative side, my broccoli substitution was only 3 pieces of broccoli, and my friends beer was $10 plus the cost of the souvenir glass. Just seemed a little expensive, but still giving 5-stars as Suzanne was great.

My son and I were really sick the next day. He shared my plate and had a worse reaction since he couldnt keep anything down and was continously vomiting and I felt really sick as well. The customer service was really bad. Two waitresses were getting into an argument in front of everyone, it took forever to get someone to acknowledge we were there and we had to ask for the waitress to clear the table when it got uncontrollable with the kids. Ive been to many places and this was the worse by far. Never again for me. Definately not worth the money. Also- I tried to put 1 star but it keeps saving it as 5 stars!

Im not a fan of chain restaurants, but was visiting in Minneapolis earlier this month, and met a friend at the Mall of America. We decided to try Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. The food and service were good. But why i write is because of the extra-ordinary service i received when i realized, at the airport, that i didnt have my expensive prescription glasses. I called the restaurant, they had a pair that matched my description, texted a photo to confirm, and then mailed them to my home, free of charge. Who says chain restaurants are impersonal! Full of gratitude, i will be a return customer!

This used to be my favorite restaurant - after last night I will never go back. I wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family and ended up walking out of a restaurant for the first time in my life. Rude staff, poor tasting food (cold bread with an appetizer - still frozen in the middle, small mussles in the appetizer, tons of ice in a $10 drink). I have never been treated so poorly in a restaurant. We left and went to Outback and had great service and great drinks at half the price with a staff who seemed to want the business. DON"T GO - Joes Crab Shack would be a better bet.

I will never go here again first off Im pregnant and they seat me in a booth that I couldnt even get into because of how close the table was to the seats. Second the shrimp was bad and you could taste it and they severely under cooked my 1 year old daughter corn dogs, they were pink on the inside. Then when we told them they had the nerve to say that it was all the way cooked. I felt like our entire meal should have been free because of the undercooked food. It was not worth the almost $100 we spent on the food not to mention how small the portions are and you pay almost $10-$25 per meal.

My husband is a big fan of Forest Gump, so we were excited to try this for the first time. The atmosphere and staff and great; the food and prices werent impressive. The food wasnt bad, but it was far from great and certainly not memorable. The prices were a little hard to swallow - particularly the drink prices. My husband and I like to indulge in a drink when we go out and it was hard to pay the prices they had ($11 for a beer). We split an appetizer and entree and each had two drinks. Our bill was $75.
