This place used to be called King Wok, but has apparently changed hands and names. Its now called Wing On and it is TERRIBLE!!!! The lady that took my order basically grunted at me when communicating. She was so rude. I got the food home: lo mein and some egg rolls and it was disgusting. The lo mein tasted like it had cigarette ashes in it and the egg rolls had some weird flavor akin to cinnamon. I mean, I love cinnamon, but not in my egg rolls. All of these things tasted just fine when previously purchased at King Wok. The new management has cleaned the place up physically, but dont be fooled. It tastes disgusting. AND to add insult to injury, the prices have gone up. Just dont do it.

This place is NASTY! I should have known when I walked in and the guy working there had to turn the light on so we could read the menu that something was fishy. No one was eating there, and two people were just sitting behind the counter. 2 dinners for a few cents shy of 20 bucks, which I was cool with, but when we got home and tasted this disgusting "food", we threw it in the garbage! The only thing we ate were the fortune cookies, because they werent made there, and were sealed in plastic! The sesame chicken tasted like mildew, and the cashew chicken tasted totally rotten! I usually give leftovers to my dog, but honest to God, I WOULD NOT FEED THIS TO MY DOG!

I meant to call and place a carry out at the Hong Kong cafe on 25 & Shelby, but wasnt paying attention and called King Wok on accident. My husband picked it up and said the place was a dump, but that really didnt bother me- some of the best places are "dives". NOT THIS PLACE!!! IT WAS THE WORST CHINESE I EVER HAD. We got 2 combo meals for $18. I had the almond boneless chicken- which was tough and dry. The gravy for it was not chinese food gravy but gravy you would put on mashed potatoes. Also, there was not bread (my fav part). Hong Kong Cafe up the road is MUCH better. I ended up throwing the food away I couldnt even eat it.

The food is always fresh at Wing On! In my home we do not like much soy sauce on our fried rice. Wing On knows the meaning of light and medium soy sauce. Their honey shrimp and chicken is very good. Nothing cooked is ever greasy and the restaurant is always spotless! You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Wing On management is not the same as 2 years ago. I noticed someone different behind the counter and tried it out a few months ago. Im glad I did, because we get some of the best Chinese in the area. Oh..we are always greeted with a smile and they deliver too! Try and Im sure you will like it as much as we do!

Worst Chinese food i have ever had! Small portions, over priced, bland food. Ordered walnut encrusted shrimp, shrimp fried rice and crab rangoons. The walnut encrusted shrimp was just fried shrimp with walnuts dumped on top no sauce, the shrimp tasted as it was fried in old nasty oil. The shrimp fried rice was horrible with barely any flavor, undercooked old shrimp. The crab rangoons tasted like bagel bites with just cream cheese no crab what so ever. $24 for a meal that went in the trash. Do not eat here, you will be very disapointed. There are a bunch of chinese places around, avoid this one!

Nasty! Worst Chinese food I have ever had. We just moved to the area and my husband and I ordered it with another couple when they came over for dinner and we all agreed it was terrible. We had almond chicken which was dry, beef broc which was chewy and gross. And a couple other entrees but cant remember any thing memorable about them other than they didnt impress me. Overall, I would not recommend and we will never go back. Im on the hunt now for my "go to" Chinese Carryout in the area. Im going to give Hong Kong Cafe a try tonight!

Such a waste of money! We ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice, the rice had no veggies in it, it was dark brown kinda looked like ground tree bark, the entire meal was absolutely disgusting! The chicken tastes like it was fried in old nasty oil, it was so greasy, that sweet and sour sauce was horrible! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! No wonder the place was dead empty, waited 10 minutes the phone never rang and not one person came in, and for a Friday evening, that should have been a clue for me, clearly I missed it!

Now Wing On - In general their food is poor quality. A definite downgrade from King Wok. They have online ordering which is convenient. Although I did place an online order and show up just to have them tell me they did not receive it and I had to wait anyway. The fried rice is worse, has a kind of burnt oil taste to it.. The soups and egg rolls are OK (nothing amazing). Better off going somewhere else

Im writing this review at 1:30am. I Ate the sesame chicken about 6.5 hours ago. Now Im laying in bed, waiting for the vomiting to begin. Food seemed OK when I ate it. Now Im sweating, starting to feel weak, ready to hurl. Burping seems to help. Hopefully it was just a bad egg roll and I can power through. Never again, Wing On. Never again.

Simply the Best Chinese food Ive ever eaten my husbands family has been going to their restaurant for years now they have moved closer to us they are wonderful people and excellent food no other Chinese restaurant can touch their food its that good and we know we search out really good Chinese food and wing on is absolutely the best

I have been frequenting King Wok for nearly 5 years, I have to say it is my favorite chinese food in the area. Offers great taste and simplicity.. above satisfactory for a standard chinese restaurant. Personal favorites include: General Tso & Sweet and Sour. Egg rolls are done right as well. Owners are very polite!

This restaurant is under new management/owners hence the new name. The food was horrible. Very overpriced and small containers. I ordered shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon. The rice was burned, who burns fried rice? The rangoon was just fried dough, no cream cheese filling. Way better places than this one.

Stopped here after a long day at work and hungry for Chinese. What a mistake! It was truly awful! Got home and took one bite and the rest went in the trash. Please dont waste your money! I ordered a chicken dish and couldnt honestly tell what in the world I was eating!

When Wing On was in Troy, we went there regularly, as they treated us like family and the food was great. We still go there now, over 20 years later, making the drive from Troy. Ive had many of their dishes and have not been disappointed.
