Its mostly a takeout joint and the decor reflects that, but they have a handful of small tables where you can eat in, and the food is good enough that you shouldnt care. They make a very respectable General Taos Chicken with large chunks of white meat, instead of the over-breaded or thin-shredded bits of mystery meat you expect at the myriad of sub-par Chinese places out there. Their spring rolls are very good, though their egg rolls are oddly just average and need a lot of plum sauce. As a hot mustard fan, the mustard they serve in packets really sucks and is my biggest disappointment in this place. I dont think the chicken fried rice has much chicken in it, but for the sub-$6 price of the lunch combo I cannot complain much. If you got it as an entree, Im pretty sure it would have more meat. The service is reasonably quick and friendly, though neither of the owners really go above and beyond the call of duty.

Fairly new place, so figured we would give it a try; and we were not disappointed. This place is probably one of the, if not, best chinese restaurant in the area. Do not be turned off by the appearance inside of a strip mall (or the take-out feel), this place could easily hold its own against the surrounding area. Beef was not your typical stringy and dry piece of cut that you normally will get at most other chinese places. Vegetables tasted fresh, including the onions and mushrooms. Egg rolls were some of the best that Ive had as well. Would easily recommend this to anyone.

What can I say? The search for bland and eh Chinese restaurants is easy. This place is no exception. The food is American style all the way, which saddens me because if you ever been to China you actually like the food more than American food. So because of its American style its just sad and well not good. Its not even okay. Its just food that you wonder who made it and why is it weird.

This is an EXCELLENT take-out or cozy eat-in Chinese food establishment that caters more to take-out customers. The menu selection is mostly Chinese American, but the prices are economical, and the staff are friendly. Alex Chinese & Grill is the best local Chinese take-out place in Orion Township.

The food is good, but I dont think its worth dealing with the attitude you get from this place .. turning customers away, hanging up on them and yelling at you for ordering "too much" when you have a full family +1 to feed. :-/

Have ordered here several times, and it is very good. This restaurant is the best chinese in town. Everything is fresh, and food is fantastic.
