Great Thai food. Each of the ingredients is prepared properly making the menu items even better. I will not single out a dish because I have never had a bad meal here. Tonight I had the Ban Thai Spicy Mama and it was excellent. The noodles were firm, but not limp, the vegetables were crisp, but not tough and the entire meal was pitch perfect. We began the meal with crab rangoon. While crab rangoon is common fare at chinese restaurants, I bring this appetizer up because you could tell that the oil used to fry it was clean so that the crab rangoon was crispy but not heavy and the cream cheese and crabmeat filling were spot on. All the dishes are like this, everything put together well to make a delicious whole. Go the full monty and order an appetizer and be sure to end with a dessert.

HORRIBLE Customer Service We walked in the restaurant at 7:40 the place closes at 8:30. We sat down after 5 mins the owner finally gave us a menu. We had our two little kids with us. The place has no highchairs. The owner tells us we have to be done and out by 8:30. As we looked on puzzled he says let me ask my wife if we want to serve you. He comes back out of the kitchen and tells us we can only do take out. Other seated customers even noticed how rudely we were being treated. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. We came from out of of town take out was not an option. We went across the street to La Pita and had a wonderful delicious seated dinner.

It may not look like much from the outside, but Ban Thai offers a great experience at a reasonable price. We had the Basil Chicken and the Mussamun Curry with appetizers of Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon. Better than most. Customer service is obviously of utmost importance here. The food was prepared very quickly and Jimmy, the owner, was very friendly and inviting. He drives to Chicago 3 times a week to ensure that all ingredients are served fresh. That takes some commitment. Recommended if youre looking for something ethnic in the St. Joseph area.

Excellent service, food and decor. I especially wanted to comment on their wonderful hospitality. Our family visited near their afternoon closing time and the restaurant still had a lot of customers. We were not rushed to order and they were very accommodating when we wanted the food mild. During the meal, even though busy, the server still manages to come by for some nice small talk. Just a few comments like how are you enjoying the day? Is this your whole family? It is these small gestures that makes a restaurant experience extraordinary.

OMG!!!! This was the BEST Thai Restaurant that Ive ever experienced --and Im a vegetarian from Chicago and Ive eaten plenty of Thai! The food was fresh and DELICIOUS; the ambiance was quaint and BEAUTIFUL, but the icing on the cake was the SUPER EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The owner and his wife are kind, considerate, and humorous. Will definitely return. Many, many vegetarian options.

I stopped in for dinner, and the restaurant was pretty well full. Once seated, the staff was quite prompt and courteous. Once I ordered, the food came out quite quickly and was excellent! The veggies were steamed perfectly, and the sauce was quite tasty. Ive been to a lot of thai places, and this was one of the best meals Ive had. I wish I lived closer so I could get takeout.

Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. The food is great and you can tell effort was put in to present it as such. The owner was very welcoming and tried his best to make sure my friends and I had what we needed. A nice small place to go with friends, and family. (By the way, their egg rolls are awesome. With their sweet and sour sauce you cant go wrong.)

Always get warm welcome when have lunch/dinner here. Jimmy, the owner, is very nice and would love to share Thai culture if you are interested. I usually went to have lunch at least once a week when I was working in St. Joe. From appetizer to entree are tasty, and you can always choose how spicy it is (I love the Thai spicy!) Have recommended to all my close friends.

If you like Thai cuisine, this is the place to get it in SW Michigan. Jimmy is an awesome guy and goes the extra distance to make his patrons feel comfortable while there. The food is awesome and if you like it hot, just tell him you want it so hot that it will melt your face. Be careful, your face may feel like it is melting. Great place!

Great Thai food and great owner. You will love the food. Everything is delicious. I cant wait to go back! My wife and I love Thai food and this place does not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and get there as soon as possible. Just to make you aware, the hours arent always correct. Call ahead if possible! But do go there definitely!

The owner Jimmy is great! The moment my boyfriend and I went into the restaurant he was attentive to whatever we needed and we received our food to go very quickly. The food is good, Jimmys service and attentiveness make the experience that much better! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone craving some classic Thai food.

This place was so cute with very friendly service. The owner Jimmy is very attentive and conversational. The pad kee mao and curry fried rice were deliciously seasoned with many flavors and spices. Living in a small town is difficult because of the lack of ethnic cuisine but this is definitely a gem worth trying out.

Great experience. The owner/waiter was awesome and very helpful. I had Green Curry (coconut curry) and asked for medium spice which was the exact amount of spicy in wanted. Also, the sticky rice with mango was sweet with coconut sauce and fresh mango slices. Def would go there again and get the same meal.

This place is great! I have had Thai food in many big cities where I have lived in the past and this is just as good. The owner is exceptionally nice and will make your experience very enjoyable if you decide to eat in. Take out is fast and tastes just as good too. Great noodle dishes!!!
