Yuck! Salty, chewy food. No variety. I could barely chew the General Tso chicken because it was so tough. I am guessing the cook forgot they had already salted it the 5 times prior to the last. The egg drop soup didnt even look trustworthy. I went for a "safe" option, salad. Not bad for plain ol iceburg lettuce with no add ins like tomatoes or cucumbers. The salad dressing did not even have a label so I was not able to trust that is was more fresh than the container presented it to be. If you have dead tastebuds and a very healthy heart that you would not mind ruining then this is the place for you.

Best egg rolls EVER! Really good pork fried rice! Super good won ton soup! Excellent egg Foo young. Thick juicy prime rib. They even make tasty liver & onions. Some what "Americanized" dishes, mostly. Theyve been at it for ever. Been going there since I was a kid. First Chinese restaurant I remember. Waitresses always remember you even if you havent been in for a year. Building is old & not the cleanest. Honestly, if I saw their kitchen, I probably wouldnt want to eat there, but thats probably true for most restaurants. Eating in cafe side is much cheaper than the restaurant side & they offer buffet.

The atmosphere is GORGEOUS- I cant fathom the poor reviews directed at the design. My husband and I have never been previous to today but we will definitely return for many future date nights. I ordered the Chinese prime rib and it was delicious and so tender! Plus there was plenty for an extra serving at home later. He ordered the kung bao and he liked his order as well. The waitress was a complete sweetheart and I tipped her generously. This is the place you want to go for Asian food without a cheap buffet atmosphere- definitely a special date night style restaurant.

We were eating. The food was good but we had to ask for the tea that came with the meal. Marie had finished eating but I had not when the waiter took my plate and food away to put it in a carton. I still had a roll to eat and had no plate or silver except a knife left. I sat the roll on top of the food carton to keep from having to put it on the bare table. He brought the tea and I had no spoon to stir it. I used the dirty knife. We definitely felt pushed out of the restaurant. It was not a good feeling.

It has been awhile since I have eaten here, and it still looks same on inside. Food was really good tho and big portions especially considering the very reasonable price. They cover your food with a silver top to keep it warm, very good ideal. Our waitress was very friendly and didnt have to ask for anything. Overall very pleased and recommend this place, would be better if they updated it and got rid of stinky fish in entrance...but maybe thats how they keep their prices low.

Their koi pond was neat, but the food was bland and some of the worst Chinese food Ive come across in the area. Barely a taste difference between the General Tsos and the sesame chicken. The egg drop soup tasted like water. The fried rice was a dark brown, with no flavor, and appeared to have been fried multiple times. The crab rangoons, were okay, a little oniony, but their sweet & sour sauce is different and didnt have much of a flavor to add to the goons.

I love this place. Its been the same forever and the staff is like next level nice. The drinks here are fantastic and very cheap. I recommend it to all friends, family, and associates. The food is good and very reasonably priced. Its hard to have a bad time here. They make you feel appreciated and can be very talkative. I go here just about two times a month and enjoy seeing all the people there. This is a must visit place in Greenwood.

The atmosphere was friendly and inviting the appetizers were hot and fresh. The egg rolls were really good. The only problem I had with my experience at l Lotus was my food was luke warm when it arrived and chilled by the time I got towards the end of eating it. The waitress was excellent and she asked me how everything was I told her my food was chilled but it was still very delicious.

Foodies might complain that this is not new "authentic" Chinese food. Theyre right, but thats why I love it. Its the old-fashioned Cantonese restaurant food of my childhood. I could not be happier than when I eat here. If food is memory, this brings me a place of to the best nostalgia. May they stay the same forever!

This is a lovely place to go for family meals, date night or to pick up something to-go. We especially love their Cantonese Pan-Fried Noodles dishes and their Sesame Chicken, along with their potstickers and egg rolls. The staff are very attentive and friendly to top off a wonderful dining experience!

The egg rolls are good, but overall just mediocre. I went last night and the service was poor and the food was barely warm. It appears that they have definitely reduced their portion sizes. Lotus is a better choice than your typical China King or Great Wall, but thats really not saying a lot!

Older restaurant with a great Chinese ambiance. Coy and turtle ponds, amazing tropical drinks at very reasonable prices. The food is much tastier than most Chinese restaurants I have been too. The servers also very friendly and will bring you any food item that might be missing

Great service. The waitress that has worked there all my life remembers me and my order every time I go there, even if it has been an entire year between visits. The food is excellent. I definitely recommend this place to fans of Chinese food or just want a classic American meal.

I have only been here once and will never go again. My daughter and I almost left before we even ordered. The place just is old and dirty . The carpet was terrible. The food was terrible. I dont even know how to describe it. Just awful. Dont waste your money.

This restaurant has been one of my favorite since I was a kid! Unique atmosphere and a fun staff. The food is authentic and the American food is very good as well. This is also a great spot for wedding rehearsal dinners and special family gatherings.

Lotus is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Midwest. They have well prepared hot (temp) traditional Asian dishes. Also have the best Egg Rolls. We go there often. SINCE 1990.FOR US. Well established restaurant since 1980s.

The dumplings are of the grocery store freezer variety. The sauce included was salty enough to use on the snow covered sidewalk. The fried rice was flavorless and most likely also from the same grocery from the flavorless section.

Food is terrible the wonton soup tasted absolutely disgusting, with the buffet youre limited to how much you get or what you can eat off there..theres no wide variety of food there, dont waste your time and money here.
