_______________ -----[[[READ BEFORE EATING THERE]]----__________________ ______________________________________________________________________________________ Horrible just horrible. The owner takes the servers tips when they get it on the receipt the reason why the owner takes the servers tips is because on the last day or end of the days he cleans the tables and thinks he worked hard also so he thinks he deserved to get some of the waiters tips. He also puts them in a jar with all the other waiters tip and trys to keep the tips the waiters are supposed to get when signed on a receipt. They also use RAMEN NOODLES instead of the noodles you would see in a buffet they also reuse their food from some days ago. They are also unsanitary. I know this because someone not naming them because of the rude owner told me this. I dont even know how this business still goes with the owner. On the other thought when one of the workers there I know were putting soy sauce the owner said to take it out because the food was free.

This is the worst restaurant that I have ever eaten at. First I stood at the front of the restaurant waiting to be seated for like 5 minutes. Than I sat myself. Around 5 more minutes the waitress finally came over and took our drink order. She brought us our menu and we sat there for like 10 minutes waiting for her to come back and take our order. Our food came out. I ordered the egg foo young from the vegetarian menu. It came out with noodles rice and egg foo young. Which was about 15 minutes more of waiting. There was only one more customer in the whole building. So my VEGETARIAN egg foo young came with beef gravy on top of it. Inside all they had was shredded vegetable that came from a bag. They gave me noodles that was like ramen noodles also not vegetarian

I use to live right behind Far East back in my college days. I would eat there at least once every two weeks, sometimes more. Im grown now, and live on the other side of Murfreesboro. Every now and then ill go back to Far East JUST for their fruit tea. Ill order a gallon of it. The stuff is delicious. Far East has been in the Boro for a very long time. That should tell you something. Its survived a lot. The food is very good. The noodles are sweet. The crab rangoons are good, but not better than China Woks. I do love their curry though. A lot. The customer service has always done me right and I dig the interior decoration. Its old, run down, and cozy. I definitely recommend checking Far East out if youre on that side of town.

This is, without exaggeration, the worst Chinese (this isnt Thai) food Ive ever had. I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetables. The sauce tasted and smelled really bad, I think maybe they used old vegetables?? I barely ate any of it, and Im the type of person that usually feels compelled to clean their plate. My fiancee also had a dish, which didnt have the funny taste/smell mine had, but was still mediocre at best. To be fair, the Wonton soup was decent. I definitely felt like I wasted my money, and would never go back to Far East.

Evidently the original owner does not own Far East anymore. I got lunch there and ordered Pad Thai with chicken from the kitchen and got cashew chicken and roast pork from the bar. The roast pork was so over cooked you could not chew it. The pad Thai had NO chicken in it at all but did have a piece of wire in t that appeared to be from a scrub brush. They dont give you any sauces or fortune cookies anymore either :( Im so disappointed because this has been my go to Chinese restaurant for years.

Far East is the best lunch in Murfreesboro! My husband and I ate there all the time in college and if we get anywhere near murfreesboro we stop for the lunch buffet, regardless of how hungry we may or may not be. Roast pork, generals chicken, and pepper steak are awesome!! Also, their sweet tea is the only sweet tea I will drink. Its the best. To top it off the service is always great. Ive never been for dinner, but highly recommend lunch.

We had not eaten at Far East for probably 10 years until today. The food was wonderful, just as we remembered from the 80s and 90s! The place was really clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The new owners (about one year) were very kind. We will definitely be back on a regular basis. Btw, the health dept score was 97!

I discovered the Far East Restaurant back when I attended MTSU (87-89), and while I travel a great deal across the South, Ive continually made time for a stop at the FER every time Im in the boro. For my money, there isnt a better lunch with pretty quick, friendly service. Thanks, folks. Keep on keeping on! Jay Mouton

BY FAR... THE BEST Chinese/Thai food in town (or Ive ever had for that matter). Lunch buffet is the time to go. The General Tso chicken is the BOMB !!! Other favs of mine are the egg rolls, pepper steak & roast pork. Trust me, it may look run down on the outside... but inside is a treasure chest!

After not coming for years because we never enjoyed the food or atmosphere, the new owners have made this THE BEST Asain spot in town. Hands down the best Pho and Pad Thai. This is no joke. The egg rolls are hand rolled and stuffed with the finest shredded cabbage! We will be back over and over!

The best Thai food anywhere. Always consistently delicious. Great service and I wont eat any other Asian or Chinese food at all. This place has been in the boro first years and if you think you love or are a fan of Chinese buffet restaurants you will never go back after having Far East

I honestly didnt know what to expect when I went here the other day with friends. They wanted to grab it on lunch, and I was starving, so we went. The food was great and the service team was on point. My drink was never empty and the price was reasonable. Will be back for sure.
