I second Michaels review. I have never been treated so rudely. The owner Karen sternly and loudly lectured me because I asked about the internet access not working. I asked one time in the span of an hour and was told by staff they would reset it after lunch. It was never functional, which I accepted. I was approached by the owner later and told they were not a "CYBER cafe". I was also told it is limited to 45 minutes, which is ironic because it never worked. I was then told that I took up a four seat high top to which replied there was a six seat table next to me never occupied. I have never written a review before but feel compelled to warn people of the rudeness I encountered. The food was good, but I will NEVER return.

I know some folks said they encountered the owners and were less than pleased but I have a different story. I dropped my car off at the dealership around the corner at 7:30 on a bright (but chilly!) spring morning. Wandered down to the post office and saw this shop on my way. I decided to stop here for breakfast and a cup of coffee while I waited for the car. It was 20 minutes before they opened and the owners still let me in and fixed me up with some coffee while we waited for 8am. Its just a little gesture that made my morning. I was happy to wait outside, but they decided that they didnt mind greeting me a little early. Also the food here is great. :) Give them a shot!

An excellent coffee shop, the reviews below still hold true. Service is friendly and helpful, very fast and always smiling. They really seem to enjoy their work. The minestrone was great, as well as the mocha and french soda, all for under $10. Im sure the other food is similar in excellence, and everything seems fair in price. Easy to talk, music was simple and not too loud so you can easily talk or get work done. Also very clean and tidy. My girlfriend and I visited here looking for a less starbucks, carribou or bigby feel - more for a small unique cafe to check out. This place fits that perfectly. I will definitely come back here again.

Jack and Karen define the mom and pop coffee/sandwich shop: Home cooking, wonderful personal service, attention to detail, delicious offerings all served up with a smile and a real effort to please. It is our regular stop when on the east side of Detroit and cant think of anywhere else that I would be assured the same consistent quality and service. Hats off to this hardworking couple and grandma too (appears in the kitchen frequently) as well as the other local shops whose baked goodies they sell. All quality all the time.

Consistently delicious! Must do if youre looking for a place to have lunch. The owner and staff are super friendly, place is clean and well set up and man, their soups and paninis are wonderful. My favorite is the portebella panini and any soup you get will be fantastic but their mushroom bisque with brie is off the hook. Worth the money - Im not sure what the couple other reviewers were talking about.

I absolutely love this cafe. The coffee is top notch, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent! This place really makes you feel at home. They immediately make you feel like family here. I spent an entire week working here while my internet at home was unavailable, and was able to get work done while also taking breaks to talk with the patrons.

I have been to Caffè Far Bella a few times and it has been an excellent experience every time! Jack and Karen are so thoughtful and always ask how youre doing and listen to all your stories. The food is delicious and although Im not a big coffee drinker, I really want to try some of those specialty espressos! Ill definitely be back often!

This is a warm and welcoming hometown/neighborhood coffee and sandwich shop. A great place for conversation, hanging out with old friends and making new ones. We are frequent customers and find Karen and Jack to be friendly and compassionate owners. Every neighborhood should have a place like this! The food is always fresh.

I used to visit often because of the cozy atmosphere and space to get work done, but the male owner was so incredibly rude on our last visit that I refuse to go back... still havent visited the new location. I havent even eaten their food when there were slim pickings at the local (scs) farmers market this summer.

Great coffee shop! Great soups, the veggie chili is my favorite! Service is great too! They have Wi-Fi (you just have to ask for the code) so its a great place to sit with your computer and a cup of hot coffee. Very cozy too!

My favorite Cafe! I take my son on patio dates here often. I love the portobello mushroom panini with the delicious vegetarian chili. Everything Ive tried so far has been delicious! And their deserts are excellent too!

A true neighborhood cafe. Jack and Karen make everyone feel at home, and the food is wonderful. The prices may seem slightly higher than, say, a Panera, but the portions are generous and their quality is very high.

This is one of those CANT MISS places, a little coffee shop with TONS of character. The worlds friendliest proprietors, and great soup/sandwich lunches. Dont miss the Lobster Bisque on Fridays!
