My experience at Thompsons Bar & Grill? My girlfriend, her mother, and I stopped for a quick meal (we had about an hour before needing to be back on the road for a concert). We were told to seat ourselves in a booth, where we waited ten minutes before being served. We told the waitress that we were in a hurry and had about 50 minutes at that point. It took her 10 more minutes to get us coffee - three small cups that were never refilled for the rest of our time there. We ordered three sandwiches. After 20 minutes of waiting for those, I asked to pay the bill and have our food brought in boxes so we could eat on the road and not be late. I tipped generously thinking that this was asking something out of the ordinary. After 20 more minutes, our food never came, we had to leave. They said they would refund me. Never did. $40 for three very small awful cups of coffee and an hour of sitting around waiting. Do not support this establishment. This review will be removed when I am refunded.

Good bar food with a few surprises. (the steak and tacos were great) Pool Tables and Keno...good drink prices. Farmers and regulars go here...later the younger crowd. Used to be the Polar Bear for like 40-50 years. I am going tonight for Tacos and Beer.

Best damn Friday fish fry in southeast Michigan period! You might have to wait a little while for it because its so good, but great, more beer for you. You can trust this review because Im fat and I know great food when I eat it!

Their wine list is unsurpassed. I highly recommend the baked Alaskan. Oops wrong place. But the beer and pizza is good.
