So many things wrong with this place that I truely dont know where to start. 1) Music is too loud for this tiny place. 2) If you wanna come have a beer OK thats probably alright but DO NOT order food. Portions are ridiculously small. 3) Soft pretzels were brought out, the server had a plate then they put down a napkin and set it down right there no plate then to make things worse they slice a piece of cheese and plop it on your napkin like wtf. 4) Every order was missing something weather it be a pickle or bacon or whatever, or if you ask for no onions, they go ahed and toss some in anyway. 5) No refills. Theyre free but nobody botheres to refill your cup. 6) You can buy a mug and theyll refill it whenever you come back. (Good idea) But it costs $100 are you kidding? Dead serious. I wish I could rate this place lower than 1 star.

This is one of the most friendly breweries I have ever been acquainted with. The Owners and employees all have been very friendly and helpful and I havent even mentioned the Ale! It is developed and brewed on site and is far better then any Ale in this region. I have yet to find a single Ale that I have not liked. Granted, some are more to my taste then others, but each very individualistic and great tasting. With their selection, anyone can find one to their tastes. On the down side, they don;t have much food, but what they do have, the quality is far above the normal pub or bar. Also, their menu is growing. One pretty new entry to the menu, Pulled Pork Sliders, are EXCELLENT! This is a friendly, fun and family friendly establishment, that I will keep coming back to.

Host was extremely rude and dismissive. Very unwelcoming to pets. We ended up walking out because we felt so unwelcome. Marty the server was the one redeeming factor of this place, he helped us with our dog when we were trying to accomodate their "pets outside of the patio only" policy. I later received a response to this review from either the owner or an employee of the alehouse explaining that having dogs in outside dining areas is illegal. To clarify, my review is about how we were TREATED, and that is the reason we left and the reason i decided to let people know about our experience.

The food awesome! We had the black bean burger and the loaded pork sandwich. Veggie sandwiches are hit or miss and the sauce pulled this burger together! The patties are from the grainery and it was super tasty. The pulled pork was perfect- not drenched in sauce and a blend of sweet, salty, and smokey. The fresh potato chips great- not too greasy, not too salty, and beautifully crisp. We tasted a variety of the drink options and I absolutely loved the peach apple cider. There could be more variety in the types of beer. This place is focused on quality over quantity. We will be back!

I stopped at the Chelsea ale house for a pint. I ordered their Black IPA with no food. it was as good as any Black IPA Ive had. It was served cool... warmer than my taste. 550 a pint was reasonable. When I asked about joining the beer club I was told they had 800 members and were full. the attitude was luke warm... Like the IPA. there were 8 people in the bar including my wife and I at 3 30 p.m. on a Wednesday.

Staff is so friendly! Great local beer made right in house. Im not much on beer, but I love cider and the peach cider absolutely did not disappoint! We also got the pork nachos...it was basic, nothing too special there and could have used more pork. Probably not the place to go for food choices, but an excellent place for drinks!

Note, FWIW, to Mr. John Cummings. It is illegal for restaurants to have pets on their patio. The Michigan Senate passed a bill allowing pets on restaurant patios but the Michigan House has not passed it . . . yet. Any Michigan restaurant allowing pets on their patio is in violation of the current law.

Three of the beers we had, the rye, amber and porter were infected. They all had the taste of an acetobacter infection ie. vinegar. The food was fairly good and the atmosphere was nice but to me anyone who would sell an infected beer let alone three should not be in the business of selling beer.

It is Sunday evening, we waited 15 minutes before we were ever served and 1/2 hour before we got a beer....45 minutes until we got our chili and and hour and Five before we got our wrap sandwiches that are way over priced! Very disappointing!

I really enjoyed this place. They make interesting, good beer. This is a beer place. The food was quite good, but I would like to see more plant-based protein choices. The house-made hummus was quite good.

Great brews, decent food and friendly service. Lots of locals go here but are nice to us outsiders. DTE Foundation Trail will continue to bring new visitors to the Chelsea area.

Amazing staff and a delicious assortment of beers on tap. In particular I recommend the two barrel-aged sours (Marcella and Arbutus) and the Holz Hausen Smoked Porter.

Tasty and well-priced beer. Have heard a couple good bands and the food is good for the price. I"d give it a 4.5.
