The hidden Gem, one would never go in here with out someones recommendation. this is a hole in the wall kind of place but amazing food. Their Menu is simple only with 6 options but variations of these main dishes. they have Vegetarian broth with tofu option for the Pho and vermicelli can also be modified the same way. it tastes very good. They serve in regular size (which is more than enough for an above average appetite person) and large and Humongous size(challenge bowl . They dont have vegetarian spring roll :( for the size and appearance form outside they have maintained this place really well. the dishes and tables are clean. the staff is nice just doing their business (they dont smile, but dont take it personal lol) one small thing the carrot they used did not taste fresh. this is one of best Vietnamese option around. I would visit here often.

My wife saw an ad for Pho Lucky in a Japanese newspaper. Weve lived in Redford forever, but didnt realize there was this hidden gem here for close to 2 years. We went there today and LOVED it. The waitresses and owner were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was incredible and the prices were nice. We got a summer roll and 2 bowls of soup and the bill came out less than $20. The owner came up and educated us on ways to eat the soup with a couple of the sauces they have on the tables. The orangish / red sauce was SPICY. I decided to stick with the dark brown sauce. I had the Pho soup #4 on the menu and my wife had their #1 choice. We were stuffed just with their regular size. We will go back again. Our friends in the Novi area will be excited to hear they are opening a location there on 7-7-14.

Used to be a nice place. Most recent experience I have to say was quite underwhelming. Three things were not nearly as good as it used to be. 1. The professionalism of the staff could more aptly be characterized as a lack of professionalism. 2. Restaurant as a whole including the dining room and the bathroom were not as well kept as it used to be. 3. The food didnt seem as fresh as I had grown to expect(Thai basil and bean sprouts were a bit brown and wilted. Im not writing this because I dont like the restaurant but the exact opposite. I really love this place and just dont want them to fall off too far or the owner not to know whats going on at one location while he may focus on another

I went to this place last summer, and have been back at least once a week ever since. Ive had pho at several places and this is by far the best. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent... 80% of the people who eat here are Asian, that in itself should tell you something. Beware! this stuff is like crack, its very addictive. I dont understand the negative rating, some people are never satisfied they can find fault in anything.

There are many things why this place is great ( in my opinion) : The place itself, as soon you walk into, you are experiencing the whole Vietnamese vibe ( which is cool) the way they have the setting in t the table, the wall with the pictures, to summarize... The atmosphere is there, the service as well, very cool, very laid back, and then there is the Pho, so good!!!!!!!! no words, just great!!!! we really love it..

As someone whos tasted the real deal in more Vietnamese food inundated areas, Pho Lucky is the closest thing to authentic pho Ive found in Michigan. I used to eat this stuff three times a week in Seattle and have felt spoiled for anything less good since. But these guys really do a great job and are friendly and inviting to boot! I only wish they would open a restaurant closer to where I live **HINT HINT**, Howell, **HINT**!

I wanted SO BADLY to like this place and have a decent pho joint close to me, but the pho bo vien was TERRIBLE. The broth tasted like old socks. The sausage was vapid. The basil was marred with black blotches that completely turned me off! Even the noodles were balled together in a nasty clump and tasted freezer burned. Terrible first impression and Im NOT giving them a second chance to ruin another meal of mine.

The place is very nice small but ok very friendly. I order special pho and buon thit nuong I rate the food best out of 5 pho rate 3 because the taste are ok not good as I expected the noodles very tasty the meat were little off the wHite stuff wit the meat was very chewing. The buon thit nuong rate 2 the fish sauce was smell bad they do not know how to make good fish sauce the meat was salty.

When we told the waitress that we had never eaten Vietnamese food before, she made suggestions on what to order. When our food came (very quickly!), she demonstrated how it should be eaten, and what condiments to use. Amazing food, clean, bright atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, fast service, not very expensive... the list goes on. This place has it all!

Coming from Orange county and being Vietnamese I might have a bit of a biased opinion. I got the P1 large which is my usual go to. The broth was 3-4/5 but what really disappointed me was the meat to noodle ratio. There just wasnt enough meat as I expected to go with the amount of noodles. Service was prompt enough. Atmosphere was nice and did remind me of home.

Best pho restaurant in Metro Detroit. Quaint little location, but what they lack in square footage they make up for in authentic flavor. I love menus with few options because it allows restaurants the opportunity to do only a few things REALLY WELL, as is the case at Pho Lucky. Ive eaten my way through the menu, and never have I been disappointed.

We stopped in here the other day so I could try Pho for the first time. They have 7+ varieties of Pho and even the regular side portion is quite generous (and under $10). They have spring rolls, summer rolls, and a few rice dishes as well. The food seemed fresh and the staff were quite pleasant. Well definitely be back!

I went 3 times and every time I ate pho. It was great every time. They have challenge menu pho. Extra Large x 3, if you finish, its free. If you fail, set you back $20. I barely finished it. It was huge great pho, and I was full for following two days.. Commenter below, please give another try.

Dont know why the one bad review but our experience was great. Waitress was excellent and the owner was very gracious. Excellent spring roll, the Pho was good and had a Duran shake that cooled the hot sauce. Dont know why Andrew Zimmer has a problem with that fruit. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Im conflicted on this review. Its not common to even find pho, so just existing is a positive, but the pho that I had was kind of bland. The broth was just kind of there, the beef was not particularly flavorful. Better than no pho, but not as good as some of the spots in Troy.
