So because the manager wanted to call me a liar im gona do what I told her I was gona and make sure everyone knows not to go to la casa fierro (by plumbs on sherman). I called in an order and told them I have a severe allergy to milk (milk products, cheese, ranch etc.) And I said that they cant even touch my food if they have touched chesse, ranch anything that is able to transfer over to my food .... Well what happens when my husband gets home (yes he should of checked but thats not the point) there was chesse on my food and the manager proceeded to tell me that she checked and I was like well I didnt put it there so how did it get there and she was like idk cuz it wasnt there when I checked ... not only was there cheese on my food but on the box my food was in.... I understand it might not look like a big deal to some but to me this food is now contaminated and I cant eat it.... all we wanted was for her to put the food back on the card since I cant eat it and well since she said she check she wanted us to bring it in... we proceeded to tell her we live in north muskegon and drove out of our way for it (i cant have taco bell because of my allergy) and we werent gona drive out of our way to bring them back...she then said that there was nothing she could do then..... well im posting this because there is something i can do and thats make sure people now not to go there expecially if you have an allergy because they dont care....they need to take allergies seriously i might not have died from this but the next person might... i even told her that had i eaten this i could of ended up in the hospital she still didnt care....

"The Russ of Mexican food" Ive come to the conclusion that reviews for restaurants in West Michigan written by locals are utterly useless, for me. Your mileage will vary, of course, but lets be fair; West Michigan is not exactly a shining beacon of culinary excellence or diversity. Ive lived out of state for the better part of a decade, most of that in areas where you could find literally a dozen restaurants for any cuisine you could imagine. Suffice to say that, much like my former love of snow and winter, SoCal and D.C. have ruined Midwestern food for me. All that being said, when we decided to try La Casa Fiero we saw the reviews and figured "why not?" We left wishing we had instead gone to Taco Bell. Its not that the food is quantifiably "bad", per se; its just quite nearly the dictionary-definition of mediocre. In a word, "meh". Not hot, not cold. Not disgusting, but utterly lacking the flavor one comes to expect from Ethnic foods. The chips were from a bag, the salsa came from a jar, and neither was bottomless. Portion sizes were insufficient for the cost, and it took longer than average (for the time/area) to get our food. Utterly bland and mediocre, just like Russ is for traditional Midwestern dutch food. If you dont really like Mexican food, or flavor in general, this should be perfect; otherwise, stay away. Any of the chains in town will be better, as well as the other "authentic" Mexican places that Ive tried. Los Amigos, El Tapatio, Chilis, Taco Bell, etc... all of them are better.

We came on a Tuesday night and it wasnt at all busy. It took forever to recieve our food. I ordered tacos and my boyfriend ordered a burrito. It took forever to get out food. We waited at least 40 minutes to get 3 tacos and a burrito. I ordered three tacos ($1 taco night) and a side of beans. I was charged $9+ for the dinner when I did not order the dinner. Not to mention that the tacos were cold and so dry I could barely eat them. I ate half of one and threw the rest away. We will not be going there again. And what kind of Mexican restaurant charges for chips and salsa?????? it took so long to get our food that we order 2 more chips and salsa. After we had started eating the third bowl the waitress decides to tell us that it is $1.99 per dish (the dish only held around 20 chips).

Terrible service. Was on hold for nearly 20 min and an hour later cannot reach the restaurant because the phone is STILL off the hook from them placing me on hold. How they manage to not notice their phone off the hook for this long is beyond me. Considering I was placed on hold so she could finish a transaction and give change and then could hear her and other employees just chatting near the phone after that for some time. Delivery time is typically close to an hour. Very disappointed, Ive eaten here for years and LOVE the food.. However the service has been declining for some time now.

Found a piece of hair in my rice and beans. Made sure it wasnt mine and asked if the dish could be remade. Without question they did. When I received the new plate. I asked my partner "does this look like the same plate to you?" He said no...I started to try and eat and IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT THERE WAS HAIR. IT LOOKED LIKE THE REMAINDER OF WHAT THEY DIDNT PULL OUT. asked for my check and for it to be taken off and the woman said "I was already gonna take it off" which didnt need to be said cause I could have walked out and said Im not paying for any of the bill. Rude. Very unfortunate.

SORRY MY CAPS LOCK KEY IS BROKEN BUT THIS RESTUARANT WAS A REAL DAINTY TREAT. I HAD TWO TACOS, A STEAK ENCHILADA AND THREE TAMALES. PLUS A DIET COKE. EVERYTHING WAS IMPECABBLY COOKED, EXCELLENTLY SEASONED, AN PRESENTED WITH FLOURISH AND CLASS. THE SERVER (SHE) WAS VERY KIND. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WITH THE FOOD WAS THAT IT MADE ME HAVE THE YOU-KNOW-WHATS FOR A WHOLE DAY I WAS ON THE TOILET FOR HOURS I FINISHED ALL OF HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONEER OF AZKABAN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is by far the worst Mexican restaurant I have been to. We got started out with Chips and salsa and I found a hair in it. We then ordered Chips and cheese which I could have made myself in a microwave at home for half the price. It was just shredded cheese on top of tortilla chips. When the main course came everything was bland and tasteless. I got a tamelle (sp?) that had hardly any meat in it and just tasted like corn. I can honestly say I will NEVER eat here again!

Came here on a not so busy night, it took 45 minutes for my grandmother to receive her burrito, and what really angered me is that they didnt tell us it was going to take that long. I ordered off the buffet and they rarely restored it. The burritos were soggy because they would por water on them to keep them hydrated. Overall it was terrible service and the food was terrible.
