When we initially planned our reception, I was very excited when we went to Mama Mias. It was small and family oriented. I loved the history of it, etc.They were welcoming and served us pop and bread as we discussed the details. Unfortunately, we were misled in what we were getting. I have to say I was first surprised at the fact I couldnt get in to decorate until a hour before due to the room being rented during the day. Luckily, it was low key and not too much to put out. I believed that we would have a bar in our room we rented. However, there was pop and punch set out for guest to pour themselves but if they needed a drink from the bar, someone took the order then went to the party next door to their bar and got our drinks. I had 70 guests and probably the same next door and three people to run drinks. I was the bride and it took 45 min to a hour to get a drink. The food was served late. I had to stop eating to let the tables know they could get up and get food. By the time the people got their ice cream to them, the end of the rooms was melted so they couldnt eat it. I had cupcakes to be served with it, though no one did it so my wedding party served them or the guests went to get themselves. It was brought to my attention that a guest went behind the bar and served guests draft beers, which she paid for. While bad judgement, she did it not intending to be a criminal as the waitstaff suggested to me, but to give the line of guests some drinks. Then today, it was brought to my attention that the wait staff not only accepted cash tips as they served the drinks, the guests then had 18 % gratuity added on. Had they been aware of that, they certainly wouldnt have double tipped for a drink that took half hr or more to get. My guests started to leave due to not being able to get served and being that it was cash bar, not only hurt my party, but their business. Another guest, told me that the server took their money and never brought their change back assuming it was a tip. Any time, the guests or myself questioned what was happening the answers were short. I want to add, the servers that were there worked hard, but not to their faults, just couldnt keep up. The bathrooms smelled as though a sewer backed up, but that was the least of it. A handicap guest parked in restaurant side, but not the banquet side and were "yelled" at rudely to move. They had drove a hour to be here and not from this area and could have been asked more politely. Didnt leave a great impression. At the end of the night, after paying the bill, I was offered a gift certificate to spend back there as compensation. That is great for me, but I am embarrassed to the experience my guests got. Very disappointing!

Have been going here for over 20 years . Today was there for a carry out . The construction on plymouth was right in front of the restaurant. I pulled thru the alley to get to the parking lot from the back . There was a truck there parked in the middle so you could not get by . He saw us pull up and could care less . I waited as he unloaded his truck . Then after several minutes I asked him if he could move his vehicle over so we could get through. He said he would when he was done unloading . Then he said this is my restaurant. I said I know and Im trying to spend money here . I should have just pulled away but instead we went in and got our carry out . After all the years of coming here and not living close anymore I wont be back . The arrogant man was so rude . As we entered on a Friday there was only a handful of customers in there . I think they could use all the people they can get . The sauce is always good but I will never go out of my way and give my money to this jerk . So long mama mias

Had a baby shower there on Sunday, was really dissatisfied. Servers were rude, asked server to cut each side of cake because each side was a different flavor. Server was rude, acted like i wanted a million dollars. After she cut it she left it on a tray and ice cream melted. I ended up serving the rest of my guest the cake and ice cream. Had to ask for them to start clearing tables after lunch. Actual started helping clear tables myself. Out of all the servers only one was nice and friendly and her name was Heather she was wonderful. Only had one long table set up for gifts, was told i would have two long tables when i booked shower. Had to ask for another table, no skirt was put on table. Food was just ok, was really expecting a better experience then this very disappointed.

My wife and i went there yesterday, they lack service, one guy trying to service everything. Too busy to properly ask questions to or get orders right. Food was good, not excellent but would eat there again. This was my 2nd time there. Big portions. Took most of food home. Had the Artichoke, spinach & chive dip, which was awesome. Wife had "tour of Italy" good. I had chicken parm. with lasagna. it was ok. all in all, it was good but needs help. If your going to act like a somewhat higher class restaurant, dont have the help come in front door, or have the managers/owners have a table in the back set up like an office desk. Takes away from the reason your there, not listening to people answer phones and do there bills. Just needs some fine tuning, could be a very nice place.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Our greeting at the door was "how my I help you..?" Our server took 9 minutes to even say hello and seemed annoyed we were there. We ordered our salads and entrees. We received our salads in a decent time, but as the next 50 minutes passed my date and I wondered where our entrees were. Our waiter never once again stopped but to ensure us our food was still coming or to apologize about the long wait. Ive been in the service industry for 6 years and I have never once walked out on a bill or a dining establishment- until today. My date and I will NOT be returning to this place and I will pass the word around. If I could give zero stars I would l.

We recently rented mama mias banquet facility for my daughters sweet 16. I have ate at mama mias several times (I have been going there since I was a kid) and the food and service are always excellent, but this is the first time we had used their banquet rooms and as I thought, the food and service were just as great and their prices are very reasonable!!! The owners and staff were wonderful, very friendly and make you feel like part of their family. Thank you so much to all of the staff especially Jessica and Nina for making my daughters sweet 16 memorable and special.

I visited mama mia place on 03/15/13 they was the last place open to eat. There was a gentlemam in front of me after she took his order she walked away she returned a few minutes later and said she thought we were together ( I took that as very disrepectful) I ordered a small house salad as i was enjoying my salad I bit down on a small pebble. I now have a chipped thooth. I drive trucks across the USA and have never had that happen before I will never return to Mama Mia place again......
