It took 25 minutes to have my order taken I drank 2 cups of coffee dry waiting. When the young man took my order , I was in the middle of ordering and he had to go get "something to write it down" . Never came back. 15 minutes went by and I was about to leave and stood at the cash register to pay for coffee, thinking my order would never be taken. While I waited my partial breakfast arrived. I am a returning customer and am trying to support this place as an artist myself. It is difficult to justify when the service is soo bad and the staff are disorganised and arguing over who does what. I hope they get it together as this is the 2nd time this type of thing has happened. I really hope the place succeeds, but like I wouldnt buy art by someeone who showed no expertise or caring about what they were doing as an artist, nobody is going pay for poor service or indifference at a restaurant. Good luck guys.

The food at Studio Grill is the best in town. There are a handful of very good breakfast restaurants in Kalamazoo but none as good as here. Their breakfasts are unique and extremely flavorful. They also have more standard breakfasts as well as the best pancakes (blueberry in particular) that I have ever had anywhere. The service is outstanding - friendly and efficient. The hamburgers are also the best I have ever eaten anywhere. Really! They are stuffed burgers. I hadnt liked stuffed burgers when I had ordered them at other restaurants around the state, but they are great here. The hamburger buns are also they best of their kind. Usually when I eat a burger I tear off 1/3 or so of the bun and just throw it out because they impede the flavor of the meat and toppings, but these are so good that I savor the last few bites of hamburger bun at the end of every order.

An absolute golden nugget hidden in downtown Kalamazoo. All ingredients are local and never frozen products including breads from local bakery Renzemas bakery. Studio Grill features a creative menu of delicious burgers and a large selection of breakfast foods. Great place for breakfast or lunch. I love the waiting staff especially, they are always enthusiastic and offer excellent service. I love that the owner visits every table after the customer finishes their meal to make sure everything was up to expectations. Something that always blows my mind about this place is the price. Ive dined here maybe 10 times and I dont think Ive ever paid over $10.

I personally really like the food here. The stuffed burger is a rarity in the area, and they are very flavorful. My issue was with the service. They werent rude at all, they were quite the opposite - WAY too chatty. Its ok to make small talk when greeting us, or asking how everything is, but please dont stand at our table and ask questions while we are trying to enjoy the food. Two different servers plus even the cook came over to talk or to try and entertain our kid, even though he was doing just fine eating his grilled cheese. I like the food, but I dont want to feel awkward while Im eating.

If I was able to rate this restaurant as better than perfect, I would. My girlfriend and I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and we absolutely love the food every single time and have never been anything less than pleased by the food or service. This is our favorite restaurant in every way. We live in Chicago and have driven all the way to Kalamazoo from time to time just to go to Studio Grill for Breakfast. This place has everything going for it. An absolute gem. The Restaurant even sells art made by local artists if youre into that sorta thing. Very cool.

This place is definitely worth visiting!! We were in town for a manager retreat and stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town! There was a group of 15 of us (we did call ahead!) and our server was amazing. She was personable, efficient, friendly, and made the experience one to remember. The actual meal was delicious and impressive. Meals came out in a very timely manner, all correct (knowing my group they probably changed somethings!!), and everyone was impressed. They have daily specials, amazing burgers, and a staff that really cares!!

What can I say about Studio Grill? They have a great Hometown atmosphere. Its a little bit like Cheers "where everybody knows your name". Theyre well-known for their burgers that they stuff with ingredients into the actual Burger! And their menu is versatile for anybody if youre a carnivore or an herbivore. The breakfast menu is really good too if you want to have a plain old 3 egg breakfast to trying the morning Madness. Or maybe some cinnamon roll or apple pie pancakes. A great place to dine for breakfast brunch or lunch.

Stopped by here to have breakfast with some friends who were visiting from out of town. Studio Grill is a fun, quirky place with excellent food. The menu is full of great choices. I had a typical diner-like breakfast. It was excellent, The service was also excellent. One thing thats makes this place special was the guarantee made by our server: try something and if you dont like it, its free. Thats makes this place very different and special. Give the Studio Grill a try, I dont think youll be disappointed.

Plan to wait for a table if you are there on a Saturday morning! Small space, but the food is great - I always get the morning skillet and its been great every time. I was that customer who went off menu and asked for a biscuit instead of toast and it did not pay off as the biscuit was small and seemed not home made, but thats not what they are known for and biscuits are a pain to make well, so I dont blame them! Service can be a little slow but probably because they are busy anytime I go so its understandable.

This restaurant is a great find and one of my favorite places to take friends when were all in town. Breakfast is great, lunch is great, and the atmosphere is representative of exactly what youre getting: a small diner with a loyal staff cooking and serving good food. Its alive with the spirit of Kalamazoo, and the owner is always checking to make sure everything has been crafted exactly to your liking. Vegetarian options available, but limited gluten free dishes served.

Terrible customer service manager Ashley screwed up our order by putting cheese on her Burger is due to being in the hospital with a family member we could not come for them to correct the issue she refused to correct it and hung up on me when I said that she obviously was not given the circumstances then when I asked to talk to the owner she refused so this is how it only runs their business not really good

Its all about the food, right? I had the Wooden Spoon spinach and feta omelette and Mom had the olive burger substituting the black bean patty and adding avocado. Both were good. She loved their regular fries and I enjoyed the American fries. The interior is a bit simple and cheap, and I am very particular about flatware and they have the cheapest, so I may actually bring my own fork next time
