I was heading in with great expectations but was sadly disappointed. My meal; Ribs and Brisket. The staple of any good BBQ joint. The Brisket lacks character and sadly resembles an old chuck pot roast. Zero smoke ring and zero flavor. Flavor should not be acquired through the sauce but that of the bark, wood and dry rub. Nice thick cuts and cooked right, doesnt fall apart and has a nice pull when testing the elasticity. Now the Rib. Flavor of the meat is hidden but the sad greasy drippings that were added. Over done and again, zero smoke ring. I ordered the coleslaw but passed knowing I was probably going to be disappointed. 2 stars: 1 for being open, and 1 because the staff was nice.

I know bbq, have eaten at many places in virginia, nc, tenn, texas, nm and other states, almost always small town local joints. This is great slow smoked meat. You can see the smoke ring in the ribs. I have tried all the meats and sides, and have not one bad thing to say about any of them.I only wish they had hush puppies! you cant beat the $5 lunch special. Pulled pork sandwich with side and drink. I really recommend the pork and beans as a side.Try the north carolina bbq sauce.Not really a true N.C sauce(that would simply be vinegar and pepper sauce) but good nonetheless. Oh yeah, very friendly staff, lightning fast, and clean!

I Ordered the turkey bacon Swiss hoagie, but I ended up having to reorder because of unspecified ingredients. The seating is cramped, and the outdoor seating is inconveniently located downwind of the outdoor, open bbq grill, causing smoke to blow over the benches. Food is less than desireable, the sandwiches are crumbly and fall apart easily. Should add super glue into the sandwiches to keep them together and to improve the flavor. Would not recommend.

Not happy at all. Called in an order for pick up for a package deal and they took my name and a time Id be picking it up. Came in to get it and it was not ready, they made us wait in line and told us they only make the package deals at the counter when you come in. Well then why did they take my phone order and ask for a time Id be picking it up? We were 20 minutes late for our plans that day that I thought I had taken care of. Not impressed.

As we ate our meal inside and watched the BBQ chef work the huge outdoor grill, we noticed the latex gloves he wore to perform the grilling of pork, beef and chicken remained on his hands as he walked over the customer dining area"s overflowing garbage can and proceeded to take that out, only to return straight to his chef duties. Our BBQ tasted ok, but the side of mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like boxed potatoes and paper mesh-a.

I got 6 wings, the pasta salad & mac cheese w/ bacon. Absolutely TERRIBLE this was my first time eating there. I will NOT be going back. & im calling to get my money back. The pasta salad has corn & black olives in it. The noodles were over done. The Mac & cheese had no flavor. Im seriously SO disappointed with the food. The restaurant itself very nice & clean. The people are nice & courteous. The food was just disgusting

Just picked up $70 worth of food to hAve a quick dinner and watch the sunset with my family while on vacation. We got to the park and found no napkins, plates, silverware, or extras that we asked for. Needless to say, it absolutely ruined our sunset dinner. Maybe they should make sure they keep someone out of high school there in the evenings to supervise.

Will never go back. Overpriced and tasteless. Ordered a chicken dinner and a rib dinner. Both were dried out and very tough. Baked beans were disgusting -- full of so much of their leftover pulled pork that you could hardly tell there were giant beans in them. Potato salad had black pieces of potato in it. Disgusting!

I agree with the other reviews of this place. Really want to like it. However, it is just not that good (bland tasting). Bbq is not pouring large amounts of bbq sauce on meat and calling it good. Have not had a side that is decent yet. On a positive note, people are very friendly and get your order quickly.

If you like youre protein Smokey, you need to try Hog Wild. Good food. Fast service. Smaller joint, so not a lot of seating. If you have a large family Id recommend getting your food to go. I have a family of 7 and we had to sit at 3 different tables. But the food is always delicious.

The staff is fantastic! They went out of their way to make sure I had some great hot food ready in the morning to serve 250 people at Wolf Kubotas open house. Im sure many of our customers will be heading to Holland to grab some tasty BBQ . Ill definitely be back! Thanks Hog Wild!

this is some of the best bbq I have ever had. I use this place for my company caterings,my kids graduation parties, and just to pick a few lbs of pork to take home to feed my family. the wings are awesome when I have people over to watch college football on saturdays.

The taste of the ribs were obviously from an oven and thats not bbq. The brisket was also very dry. Being new to the area, my advice was to come here for good bbq. For around the same price, Ill stick to famous daves or logans where I know its made on a grill.

My husband and I both tried this place and we both agreed that it is the most bland flavorless food we have ever eaten. I have no idea why they call that food bbq. They just dump the flavor bbq sauce you choose on the meat that you choose and call it bbq.

Totally awesome BBQ. Did the build your own three meat. With all the fixins. The girls were all great. The food was excellent. The price! Taking some food back to Chicago. Bkowa all the National guys away. Great place all around.

Chicken was rubber, brisket was dry and when I bought pulled pork to go I got chopped BBQ pork with sauce in it.(Thats their "cold" pulled pork) Never going back again. Drive to GR and get real BBQ or just have a pizza.

Great local BBQ in Holland. Had the pulled pork nachos (on Frito style corn chips). Spicy Texas chili and to finish it off Warm bread pudding with hot Carmel sauce. Worth the trip to the north side for this place.

Awesome place. Makes me happy that i live so close! Was a bit upset they dont have a standard "buffalo" wing, but ventured out and tried the other hot wings and they were equally as good. Great wings at this place!

I had not been there in a while, and I had never tried the sausage. Skip the sausage, it is flavorless. Very disappointed. I like this place and would go back, but they need to revamp the sausage recipe.

BBQing out front makes for a draw. Fast food BBQ,...not the best but not the worst either. Surprised Slaw and corn on cob not offered for sides. Ordering was a strange experience.....

I order the 2 meat combo and i guess when you want ribs as one of the meats they only supply you with one rib... i paid extra for a second rib lol i find that a little ridiculous
