Its very average. Its nice for midnight snacking....when its actually open. Management doesnt seem too kind, and Ive heard its a catty place to work. Servers are friendly, however, and they know their regulars, so as far as interactions go, its a positive one. The food seems more pricey than what youd expect from a country oven type place, but its....reasonable, I guess. The side salad is near 4$ though, which is ridiculous for the size. Anyway. They cater to requests very well, and the marinated chicken breast is a pretty good choice if you like plain food like I do. Single-stall restroom. Seats are ripped and taped, but thats par for the course in Hazel Park so dont expect everything to be sparkling clean. Its very homey, and the wall decor is tacky, but nice.

Open 24 hours. Good southern food. Sundays they have turkey and dressing. Soups are home-made and very good. They do not add a surcharge for middle of the night menu items. Lots of windows so you can easily keep an eye on your car. Sometimes the smoke becomes too strong, even though they have a non-smoking section. I would go more often, but I cant tolerate the smoke. I wish there were a total ban on smoking in restaurants in Hazel Park. Easy to reach from i75 and 9 mile road. Prices are reasonable. Evening specials stop at 10pm. Generous portions. The owner, Cindy, hugs customers when they come in to eat. Great food if you can deal with the repulsive smokers.

Horrible and nasty owner. Attitude. She actually told our party to get the F**k out of her restaurant after I asked her to be more respectful to get employees, she was screaming at her waitresses and blaming them for stealing money, in front of everyone in restaurant. Very unprofessional & Rude, wouldnt go there if they offered me free food the rest of my life. Doesnt even deserve 1 star!

Very good country family-style diner food. Wait staff is always very friendly and attentive and feels like youre at a friends dinner party, complete with loud casual talk. The omelets are the favorites of mine and the biscuits and gravy really drive the country feel, tasting like theyre directly from the South. Credit cards on rare occasions arent accepted so bring some cash just in case.

Its a decent place with typical Coney-style food. However, while we were there, a person whom we believed to be the owner was shouting at her employees right in front of all the diners, which was very unprofessional. Their carry-outs are good, and they have pretty good breakfasts, but hopefully the owner is not always so harsh in front of their guests.

This is the best late night restaurant around for its quick service, cheap prices, and great food. And Im including those restaurants in Royal Oak, Ferndale and Berkley. Its equally as good during the day, but because of its 24 hour service, people tend to find it after a bar night. Give it a shot, you wont be dissappointed.

The food was just like every coney Ive ever eaten at nothing special. The waitress sucked. Totally rude and never asked if we needed anything. She must of known we were complaining, so she attempted to be nice but rolled her eyes and was fake as hell. Probably wont return just because of bad service.

This place has a great menu. But the cooks have no consistency. So depending on the cook it effects what I order. Because of that I give three stars instead of five. But the food is good and Im never disappointed, so I give three stars instead of one.

I absolutely LOVE Country Boy! It is the quintessential small town diner with the at home feel. The waitresses are always really nice and the service and the food are great! They make the crispiest bacon this side of MI. I go there often.

Looks wise it is just a small local diner that hasnt been updated in years. However, their breakfasts are great. Love their omelets. The waitresses (Beth and Michelle) are also really good.

Not sure why someone would call this a "bad neighborhood", unless they had never actually seen one. Country Boy is a fine place to grab food late when youre too lazy to cook for yourself.

Such good food, redo your booths though! The duct tape is not cute and makes the place look poopy. However the food is so yummy, I wish they would take pride in their spot and fix it up.

Great place to get decent food at a decent price. Open space and friendly waitresses. Im a regular though so perhaps it takes a few visits to appreciate the atmosphere.

Pretty good food, super friendly waitresses (the tattooed "Mom waitress" variety) and reasonable prices. Plus theyre 24 hours and you can get a veggie omelette with FETA!!

Open and warm. As a light night diner in a bad neighborhood it had great soup and low prices. I love this kind of place for casual eating...not fancy date nights.

I work near here and try to get to Country Boy once a week. Good food and prices, waitstaff is very nice. My favorite kind of restaurant, local and comfy.
