Havent been since I hosted my daughters birthday there in January on 2016. It was just OK then. Seems to have gone downhill Visited on 08/14/17 at about 6:50pm. When we walked in, there were maybe 7-9 tables with customers, the rest of the tables were empty. The pizza bar was full, usually is. Lots of the same pies, over and over, requests for the specialties take a while and they dont make those on rotation like pep or cheese pies. Sit down, the table is clean looking but sticky. Floor is too. It was back in 2016. *I think an industrial mop and bucket costs about $30 total* I head up to make a salad, everything looks ok. I start to fill my bowl. The check out girl is using one gloved hand, the other hand un-gloved to fill the stations. She is throwing the items into the containers and making a mess. Yes, she is doing this as I am reaching in for ingredients. She uses the same glove to reach in every, single container to fill each item. Eggs, olives, meats, cheese, all got touched with that one glove!! It didnt help that since she was throwing the food there, its all mixing in the wrong containers. Also, as she grabs a new one, she sets the container over the items on the bar. The meat in the back? It had at least four different containers sitting on top of it. TALK ABOUT CROSS CONTAMINATION! I leave my bowl and head back to the pizza. It was ok, nothing special, not really made with care, looks like it was thrown together in a hurry. I go to get a drink, fountain pop. Plastic coke cups, at least the first 5 I grabbed, were cracked or chipped in some way around the mouth piece of the cup! Come on!! Amazon has 6 packs of those cups for $20!! The worst part, as the busser girl is walking around with her tub, clearing the tables. She is SETTING THE DIRTY TUB ALL OVER THE TABLES, as customers are eating!!!! Once she makes it to my table and asks " Can I clear any plates for yous?" I reply " Yes. And you need to know, you shouldnt set that dirty tub on the tables where people are eating" She says "ok" and seems upset. Back when I worked in food, that would be grounds for a write up, carry the tub, set it on the SEAT if you must and always wipe up when you lift it. Simple, common sense things and it seemed like a lack of training. Bad management. I leave and am waiting outside for family to exit, I watch her set that nasty, dirty, old bus tub back on at least 4 customers tables. This owner needs to invest in some training and proper customer service skills. I know young workers are cheap but you could give them a good start by showing them to right way to do things and holding them accountable to complete whats needed each and every shift. If they cant do whats expected, plenty of workers out there that will. I wont return and dont recommend you do.

I just moved to Warren a few months ago and was told about american pie from a co worker. I took my wife and three kids there last night and i must say i was impressed. I moved to warren from Texas and in Texas CiCis is a big chain so when coming to American Pie i wasnt sure what to expect. My family and myself really enjoyed our dinning experience at American pie last night. Hands down blows CiCis out of the water. Not only does the pizza taste 100 times better but the selection is unbelievable. I tried the spinach dip, the vinnie(which is a little spicy) and the big mic. My wife loved their salad bar and their vegetarian pizza options. My kids had plan pepperoni and all three of them loved the mac and cheese pizza. We all had the brownie dessert which was very tasty. We didnt try the pasta bar but the table next to us couldnt stop talking about how good the meat sauce was. Im going to give it a try next time i visit American Pie. In my opinion American Pie is a great restaurant with outstanding food! I will be returning! My family has found our new pizza night restaurant!!!

First impressions are everything, salad bar was trashed. Because Im vegan, i needed a refund. Although the family still ate. I had to remain in the waiting area untill the family was finish eating. Employee at the register was gossiping with another worker... Very unprofessional. There was no place for me to sit while waiting on my family at the entrance. They have benches that occupied dirty floor mats. No one offered me a seat. Although i requested a refund we still paid for a family of 4 to eat. How awkward was that for my 6 year old, mommy couldnt fix his plate and cut up his food (Dads just arent that great) so not happy about that. Its as if all kids were running the place. We will not revisit this dining experience. We will not recommend this venue. Lastly, as i mentioned earlier, the gossiping is still going on only louder with more slang. Very unprofessional atmosphere. Good luck - smh

When they are busy its nice because you can have fresh pies and variety. I would agree with other reviewers, regarding off peak hours. When not busy, the pies just sit and are not replenished until someone takes the old ones that have been sitting there. Usually when it is not busy it is also hard but not impossible to have them make you a fresh pie you request. I usually see when you request a certain pizza many time they only make a half of a pizza as they are concerned it may go to waste? The staff bussing the tables are usually nice and I try to ensure to leave them a tip. Many times also I have seen either the manager or owner take the large booth by the front for them to use as an office. While as a leader it is important to not hide away in the back to do paperwork, but possibly suggest focus on customer service and food quality when open, and paperwork when closed?

Very disappointing ! I will never come back again. When I was there with my family the girl at who rang us up was wearing rubber gloves after she was finished handling money she went straight to the salad bar and with the same gloves on starting scooping eggs with her hands to fill the container. Who knows how long she was wearing them and what else she touch . When I asked her if she was going to change them she looked at me dumbfounded and didnt know what to say. When I asked to speak to a manger 2 employees said there wasnt one there. Clearly these employees dont know anything about cross contamination and how unsanitary this is. Her name was admira which I was lied to and was told Alana . I tired to call twice to speak to a manager and both times I was told there wasnt one there . Good way to run a place !
