To the manager and future customers: Having been in the restaurant industry for 16 years as a a cook, server, manager, and General Manager, I was exceptionally disappointed with our experience here. We chose this restaurant over the one next door, as that had poor reviews. Our server didnt introduce herself and was very unpersonable. In fact, she made herself unavailable or forgot to return. She didnt offer suggestions, wasnt knowledgeable about the menu or items, did not up-sell any order at the table, nor offer dessert. We had to ask for beverages, physically get up 4 times for condiments, ask another server for assistance multiple times (which we did tip), and bus our own table for elbow room. We saw the happy gentleman who cleared tables, and stocked the restrooms, more frequently than our server. A manager was not found interacting with the dining room. The prices were comparable for family dining. The side salad was good; the club sandwich had a good presentation, but it was dry and I wasnt offered a choice of bread. The steak was very, very bland for the amount of fat it had. This server is not an asset for gaining repeat customers, nor for growing your business. It is essential for a small business as this to have a friendly, knowledgeable, and assertive staff. As they say in the restaurant industry, one complaint makes 100 known. Best wishes!

Weve been to this restaurant a few times over the years and it was ok. Not the best but not the worst. It had been about a year since we last went so we decided to go again. What a mistake! This restaurant is taking a bad turn. No doubt due to the owners decisions to cut corners. I ordered fried chicken. It was bone cold in the middle. it had been cooked up earlier, put in the fridge no doubt to save time or to minimize waste, and then stuck in the fryer for a quick warm up. Which not only did it NOT bring it to a safe eating temp but made the chicken take on even more grease. My husband ordered the fish dinner with hash browns. He said the fish wasnt good (hes not a picky eater) and there was some strange piece of who-knows-what mixed in with hash browns. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. She had the cook make me something else and gave us 10% off the dinner. . Which really didnt feel like enough compensation for the whole experience. Note to the owners: its worth it to your customers to wait a bit longer for properly cooked and freshly fried food. This isnt Mcdonalds. Were paying more for the meal. It shouldnt be served up fast food style. Its worth the wait and youll get happy and loyal customers. Its too late for us though. We wont be back.

The place was freezing indoors. The waitresses had what looked like their coats on. When we finally got our food, we eat as fast as we could so that we could get in our car and turn on the heat. Needless to say, we did not have the opportunity to actually enjoy our food. Which was a real bummer because I had been fasting for a couple of days before I choose there to go for FOOD. Before you go, call ahead and ask if the heats on, lol.

Manage your expectations. This is a small time diner. Youll get a decent meal at a leisurely pace and a fair price. Fine option if you need a break from the highway or meeting people. In the grand scheme of Coney style cuisine its above average but come in expecting that kind of diner fare.

Absolutely horrible food. The wet burrito is literally 2 cheap bean microwave burritos with nasty can chili over them. We tried them when they first opened and that was awful. Nothing changed in several years of operation. Go to Mc Donalds next door for a fine dining experience.

We were on our way from Detroit to Grand Rapids and stop here to eat. Had great food and wonderful service. The server was refilling our drinks before they were completely gone. if we are ever headed through this town again, we will definitely be stopping!

Everything was delicious. I had baked cod and husband had breaded. Real potatoes and also great fries! And its open till 10pm 7 days. Will visit on our next trip. Didnt give 5 stars since its not real fancy but nice staff and atmosphere.

We come here fair often, we have had a couple ok experiences but mostly at or above average for this type of family restaurant. The atmosphere is layed back and slow paced, your in the country. We mostly get breakfast foods

This a regular place for my family and I . The chicken finger are to die for. Same with the bacon cheese burgers. Salad is nice in cold and fresh.. staff is very nice and professional. Price is fair around 10 bucks a plate..

The best breakfast anywhere and the best price. Three egg omelette with tons of hash browns. I could only eat half and never got to my toast. Delicious to say the least. Friendly staff and constant refills on the coffee.
