Three times in the last 2 weeks I have ordered through the app, only to arrive and have my order not ready even ten to fifteen minutes after the specified time. Today I ordered through the app and I only received part of my order. The person at the counter stated that the receipt printed out only the stuff I received. Apparently the receipt was thrown away because they were unable to produce it to show me when I asked to see it. I showed the receipt on my phone to prove what I ordered and to get the rest of my order made. Is it normal to throw away the receipt that shows proof of what was ordered? Other stores I have been to give me a copy of the receipt when I pick up my order. This is supposed to be a quick stop on the way to work but it has turned into more of a hassle than it is worth since it is now making me late to work. This is the only Tropical Smoothie I go to that I am not completely satisfied with the quality of the customer service. A month ago I would have rated you 5 stars, but it is no longer 5 star quality. While the quality of the food is excellent, unfortunately that does not make up for the poor customer service now.

There was not an ounce of friendliness or urgency from the staff. We were not greeted or offered help from the young girl at the register. It took 10 minutes to place an order, with only two people ahead of us. We ordered two sandwiches and one smoothie, and it took extremely long from a tropical smoothie standard- from our transaction receipt 1:05p to receiving our food- 1:16p. They were out of the Caribbean jerk sauce, only finding out after placing the order, and offered no apology or remorse. There seems to be no efficient system in place, lack in proper customer service training, lack of urgency, lack of friendliness. Never once received a "thank you" or "have a nice day"- from the girl at the register, the cook handing out the food, or the girl handing out the smoothie. Overall, worst Tropical Smoothie location I have been to (out Grand Rapids, Mount pleasant locations).

First order with Tropical Smoothie Cafe, we placed our order approximately half an hour prior to their posted close time. They cancelled our entire order and never bothered to call to us or GrubHub. Tonights order they sent us the wrong sandwich. After ten minutes on the phone with three different people, their response was they would remake our order the next day but we would have to pick it up. When I told the "manager" that I had plans for the next day and that would not work for me, he said there was nothing else he could do and I was welcome to contact corporate. Our order was over $50.00 for three sandwiches and four smoothies. For these prices, I dont think it is unreasonable to expect my order to be correct. Their smoothies are fantastic, but their customer service is deplorable.

#TropicalSmoothie on Evergreen Road in southfield mi fired me for doing nothing wrong ! But they still have a girl working in their that stole 200 from #campsunshine that goes to disabled kids & she still works their. That money was donated money from customers to go to disabled kids she steals & keeps her job I barrow $2 out the tip jar & put it back the same day but im fired ! Wait what ! Not to mention they dont even give us our tips we not even suppose to have a tip jar at #tropicalsmoothie. We the employees have never had any money distributed to us since that store opened not on our checks not in our hands. #Tropicalsmoothie is fake & has theifs working behind their counter !

I am very dissatisfied with how this establishment manages its staff. The service is okay, no complaints. The management, on the other hand, (Alexis Hallock), is very impartial and unfair in distribution of weekly hours to employees that have been loyal from the beginning and is for some reason being given minimal hours even though their available to work at any time of the day/week. Its is unfortunate to know that when someone is pursuing education to enhance their life it is counted against them resulting in less hours and even no hours on some occasions. This is, in my opinion, a terrible place for young people to work. Signed, Disappointed Parent!

The smoothies are really good. Everyone who works there is really nice. There are two reasons why I have to give 3 stars instead of 5. 1) Theyre frequently understaffed. Its not uncommon to wait 15-20 minutes for a smoothie. 2) When you order through the app, they dont always write the added ingredients on the side of the cup. Ive felt like the ingredients I paid for werent added more than once, but I had no way to verify that. Id feel a lot more comfortable that they were in there if it was at least written on the side of the cup (which they seem to do every time you order in the store. Not sure why its any different when ordering through the app).

Got the tropi-colada smoothie and it was amazing! Other smoothies Ive tried were very good as well and have good value for the price. The staff is also very kind and give speedy service. Unfortunately, I dont think I will ever eat the food here again! Got the Thai chicken salad and when I popped the lid off at home, there was a huge clump of black, soggy spinach and the chicken was very rubbery. Wish the food was as good as the service and smoothies

Every single time Ive been here, Ive had to wait at least 15 minutes to get my order whether its just a smoothie or a whole meal. When they first opened, I did not want to write a review because I figured the staff wasnt fully trained yet. I recently ordered online to avoid the line (because I usually go on my lunch break) but when I went in, I had to wait another 10 minutes because they didnt even know I had an order.

The owner asked me to remove my 1 star review because of the vegan chicken fiasco. I posted that they got rid of the chicken only because when I asked the cashier if they had it she said no, when I asked if they were ever getting it back she said no and looked perturbed. I love this place, but the staff should be more aware not to mislead and anger the patrons. Ill re post a review when the stuff actually comes back.

This place is not only beautiful and modern but they also have the best smoothies in town. I noticed that they offer a lot of vegan and gluten free options. I didnt try the sandwiches but I will soon since they have vegan chicken as a meat substitute. I recommend the Detox Island (spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana and fresh ginger). Lots of good and healthy options!

First time in TSC today. The turkey bacon ranch sandwich, avocadolada and the lean machine were all really good. It looks like they have a ton of vegan and GF options. Most of the staff is friendly, a few staffers had some rough edges, but they were also REALLY busy. EDIT: they are VERY fast even when busy. Props there too

My five stars are for the product being absolutely DELISH, the wait not so much, as this location is really understaffed, and because most of the employees are new, theyre still learning- so in turn the process is slow. Bring your patience! =)
