The store associates are usually attractive women. I think its a real marketing ploy to get people to buy more food frequently. Men and women sometimes come here for dates during the day. It has a peaceful atmosphere and is well managed. Sometimes there are unsavory people who visit with a ghetto mentality. Its not often as far as I can tell. It is a hidden gem on Grand River. I would recommend their donuts to anyone. I dont give 5 stars because their sandwiches (pita and Panini) leave something to be desired. Everything is cheap and tasty though. Their coffee is also acceptable. Its not amazing, but if youre looking for a double shot of espresso in a drinkable coffee with cream and sugar, you wont be disappointed. The coffee is better than McDonalds unless you like frilly stuff thats never put in real Italian or French coffee. They are also fast approaching being better than Starbucks with the quality drops in Starbucks coffee.

Service was horrible. I stood there for 15 minutes without my order ever being taken. Others walked in and their orders were taken before mine. The short brown skin girl was on the phone the whole time she was making someone elses order. The tall skinny girl had long bushy hair and was constantly gossiping about who she hate. The short light skin girl didnt have on gloves. To top it off nobody had on a hairnet. That was the worse experience ever. I will never return. July 9, 2016

There is usually one clerk operating the grill, the coffee the donuts as well as the ice cream. The coffee is always warm as well as tasting watered down. The only thing that I would recommend are the donuts which are really good. They are $1.15 each, but they are bigger than Dunkin and Dutch Girl. The wait time is usually long especially if that one clerk has hot food orders up. I feel that the customer service is extremely crummy. At least act like you are happy to see me.

Delicious donuts and sandwiches, and the owners daughter is extremely friendly and gives the best recommendations! However the early morning employees arent always the best, most efficient workers. There have been a couple of times Ive walked in to get breakfast, and left after waiting in line 5-10 minutes, behind just one person! Its a donut shop - people should be in and out in no time! But aside from a couple of staff issues, I love this place.

BEST DONUTS IN THE D! My parents had my family and I on these donuts since my siblings and I were kids and I STILL enjoy them and Im in my thirties! Ive had Dutch Girl and of course the chain Duncan,and theyre ok. But at Elias you get an awesome fresh tasting donut, AND awesome customer service,and to me customer service is EVERYTHING!

If I could give this place a negative star I would. The service is horrible! Despite how good something is...bad service is bad service and the service there is HORRIBLE. not an AA owned business but it is in a predominately AA community! Guess what THESE PPL DONT Respect you! PLease do not spend your money where you are not respected!

First time going with my boyfriend, was early Wednesday morning, donuts were good and fresh, but the lady was very rude and nasty when my boyfriend tried to ask her did that have any fresher donuts in the back, hopefully next time we go we will get a nicer person or if its the same lady I pray she have a nicer attitude

As always fresh looking donuts. One minor issue when asking for brownie being placed in vanilla ice cream, customer willing to pay for both separate. Some staff will mix it while others will not. Either cant or you can. Management please educate your staff to be consistent. Thx, a loyal customer.

I have been eating donuts from Elias since I was a kid. Still maintains great consistency with all products while continuously adding new selections. I love the grill. Im in love with the Philly cheese steak. So good snd flavorful. Btw you can have it with chicken or steak.

Good donuts. But I took my family to get ice cream the other day. I ordered a few scoops of ice cream and a cookies and cream milkshake. The milk shake was VERY runny. The women had here friend at the job buzzing them in to use the bathroom. It was just too much going on.

I have been going for years with my family and I can say with out a doubt morning, noon, or night its got some amazing things to offer for whatever your craving sweet or otherwise. (Donuts are tops and Try the Philly Steak maybe with a real Blue Moon icecream shake)

This place is excellent. They are open 24/7, and always has great service. I was starving for food on new years eve and everyone was closed expect Elias. Outside of doubts the have hot food, ice cream, etc. I always leave there satisfied
