Refused to be served alcohol due to a vertical license, which clearly denoted I was over 21, was not expired, and was genuine in every possible way. Was told they only accepted horizontal licenses (what?) I tried turning it 90 degrees to see if that eased the situation, but it did not. It was implied that my license was a forgery, that I was lying about my age, and by serving me could directly result in them losing their liquor license. I am over 21 and my valid license explicitly states just as much. They still refused, and made no sense as to why. I have an enhanced license which enables to me travel internationally in North America. It also has an extended expiration date, I had it long before I turned 21 and it doesnt expire until I turn 24. I will not pay money to get my card replaced because a single place refuses to serve me (despite literally everywhere else being capable of doing so.) So, if youre turning 21 and still have a vertical license, this place has told me they WILL NOT serve you. One star for refusing service, and have nonsensical policies not based in reality.

$172.00 for four including drinks not a bad price. Was extremely disappointed in the appetizer. Grease soaked, small, calimari rings. FOUR scallop only for the price they charged was just crazy! And if you want a margarita--well it wont be a frozen one, the waitress did all she could to talk me out of it--because clearly it was a hassle, "the ice is uneven and in big chunks", ah yeah, that does happen. None of us were happy with our waitress. In ordering the appetizer I placed my order and she took off..the rest of the appetizers (3 total) she tried to talk us out of because they wouldnt come at thw same time. Well if u took everyones order vs running off maybe they would arrive at the same time. I think she was being judgemental on the wat we were dressed...very casual. Then kept trying to hand the bill to the other side of the table. The food eh..waitress should be retrained...older lady ..older than 30...probably closer to my age..she wasnt very nice...very dismissing. Still left her a nice tip. Oh the steak rocked!! But i will never eat there again. First and last time.

Best place in Livingston County. Anytime my wife and i go out we eat Brighton Bar and Grill. Why only one place? We simply are done wasting money anywhere else. I consider myself a very good cook and i cannot stand spending good money i feel i could have made better.I have never been more satisfied with any food in my life! Everything i have ordered there is simply fantastic! The prices are fair and the service is amazing. Most of the staff has worked there a long time which says something in the restaurant industry. They make good cocktails, not too much mixer and generous portions of the good stuff. I HIGHLY recommend the Tenderloin sandwich, Mac and cheese and the carrot cake for dessert! Do not WASTE your MONEY at a chain like CHILLIS or the OLIVE GARDEN, its GARBAGE compared to Brighton Bar and Grill. Support local eat Brighton Bar and Grill!

The ambiance is wonderful, excellent friendly service and amazing food. Its much more like a mid range fine dining restaurant than a bar n grill. My friend ordered the sea scallops and they were cooked to perfection and the accompanying vegetables, sauce etc was exceptional. I ordered the Mahi Mahi medium rare and it was sadly well done, dry and tasteless. At these prices thats simply unacceptable...$26!! The waitress and I even discussed the request when I ordered....Yet, she still brought it out even though it was visibly well done. She should have caught that and the chef should have never put it up like that. Rather than put my friends feelings at risk...(It was a special occasion that he wanted to be very impressive) I really couldnt send it back. It took a lot of the joy out of it for me. Whitmore Lake

My wife and I just dined there for the second time since the new owners took over. They have some wonderful new dishes on their menu and we can highly recommend the baked garlic appetizer. I would easily rate them as the best restaurant in Livingston County now. They were good before, but now they are great. The wild mushroom ravioli is fantastic! The ocean Perch special was pretty good, but I remembered why I dont normally order ocean Perch - not my favorite fish. My wife had the pear salad and she ate every bit. The staff are always friendly and warm and the atmosphere is very nice. You feel like youre dining in a special place without it being pretentious. Prices are very reasonable, not the cheapest but not expensive either.

Im not from Brighton, so I knew nothing about this place. The food was excellent! The prices were what youd expect from the quality of food ($30 steak entree, $15 appetizers, $10 shots of tequila). I had a prime rib dinner; which I must say was cooked to perfection, with excellent sides. It was a little crowded, especially around the main bar area... But, it was Saturday evening, and a perfect fall weather type of day. I highly recommend this place, if youre looking for a classy dinner. Dont let the name deceive you, this is a dress to impress type of place.

If your looking for the hands down best sandwich youve ever had try Brighton Bar & Grills Cubano sandwich. When the waitress brought it to my table I could not believe how good it looked. And as soon as I took the first bite I would never see a normal sandwich in the same light!! The blend of pork tenderloin, ham sweet pickles, swiss cheese, dijon mayo, and bbq sauce all in a awesome ciabatta bread made my mouth explode in joy! Please if its the last thing you do, TRY THIS SANDWICH.

Stopped in on a whim without having checked yelp. Only saw the positive reviews after and its truly a wonderful restaurant. I ordered the meatloaf, came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was probably the best Meatloaf Ive ever had and the "lunch portion" was $11. And the lunch portion was huge. Usually "bar and grille" in the name implies "we primarily serve alcohol and have a kitchen that makes extremely mediocre food." Not the case at all here. Excellent food.

If you havent been to BB&G since the new owners took over in Oct 2010 you are really mising out! The food and service are better than ever. The lunch and dinner specials are fabulous and the new wine list is terrific. The new manager, Mark, is a wine expert and is constantly bringing in new vineyards to try. And, the monthly wine tastings are fabulous. Oh, I forgot to mention the music on Thursday nights in the lounge - its the best in the area!

This is a nice little bistro style place to have lunch. It costs a couple bucks more than most lunch in Brighton but, its cute, stylish and has pretty good food from what I remember. Great drink menu and its on the main street of Brighton so its fun to be right in the mix of all the action. Its surrounded by other stores and shops so its really a great spot to stop for a drink and a bite to eat while in this area!

I had the Pork Chop dish and it was by far the best I have ever had! It was so soft and juicy. My food came fast and was hot. The staff was great and very friendly. My waitress even suggested and brought a new mustard sauce to try with my meal. The atmosphere is very relaxing and well decorated. This is by far my favorite place to go in Brighton and surrounding areas. If you havent been you are missing out!
