Ive been to Hidalgos several times and used their catering service. I have yet to be disappointed. Their food is consistently excellent and I have not had a bad experience here. The catered food is as good as you get in the restaurant - its the same food. No cutting corners for big orders. The decor is plain, but the restaurant is always clean. I dont mind it at all - Id rather they keep turning out great food than try to make the restaurant look more "authentic". The service is as good as the food. Theyre always friendly and do everything they can to make sure their patrons are happy. The same goes for their catering service - they spent all the time that was needed to make sure they understood what we needed and were willing to make adjustments as needed. I cant speak highly enough of their food or their staff - I know that it will always be a good experience.

This place is AMAZING!!! I first tried them in 2015 and let me tell you...NEVER let down. GREAT food, AMAZING service. Very family friendly and just all around perfection!! Authentic Mexican food and the restaurant is super clean!! Going for lunch today!! The Flautas Rancheras are TO DIE FOR!!!!!!! The rice is AMAZING (who ever says that??) and so are the beans...The salsas are great, actually everything my family has ever tried is great!!!! My first time I was pleasantly surprised!! Hidden gem right in Belleville!!!!<3 Give Hidalgo a try, I PROMISE you will NOT be disappointed!!

Service is spectacular. The food is truly authentic and everything has a unique flavor. They offer a variety of authentic Mexican drinks that pair perfectly with any of the many entrees listed on the menu. Allergies are accommodated to with diligence and care. Gluten free eaters can feel secure when dining here. The staff and management really goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is taken care of. This place is a hidden gem for sure!!! If you havent been here yet, youre missing out!

Ive never had a bad meal here. Edit: I was wrong. I ordered the Camarones (shrimp) ala Diavola. The shrimp was hard, rubbery and over cooked. I told the waitress. She told the chef/owner. Dude comes out and defends his cooking. I offered him one. He wouldnt eat it. He asked me to go back in the kitchen to see how he cooks it. It doesnt matter how he cooks it. Its wrong. Its not like hed have taken any advise anyway. He should not have gotten argumentative with me.

Ratings speak for themselves but hell... best mexican food you can ask for in the city. Very hospitable cleanest bathrooms Ive seen anywhere. Not a speck of dust anywhere in the dining area ( yes I had a look) theyve been open for 7 years. decor tables chairs booths look fresh and clean no tears or stains... southwest burrito, kids cheese quesadilla, fajitas with the dressings. delicious beans and rice, usually my favorite part of a mexican meal so it was perfect.

Fantastic spot, definately my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Cant go wrong with any menu item (although if youre asking Id recommend either the Mexican sandwich, Belleville boat, or whatever the weekly special is). Their salsa is also great. And while I dont normally order dessert at other restaurants, the apple chimichanga is absolutely fantastic. I get it almost every time.

Im from TEXAS. and I ate here during strawberry festival .let me tell you . It AINT Mexican food . ITs not bad . Its a little better than Taco Bell . the 2 enchilada sauce choices were 1 not good and 1 terrible . the rice looked like some kind of cous cous. I broke my own rule .if you walk into a Mexican resturant and there aint no Mexicans .LEAVE

Authentic!, Fast!, They do Catering!, Offer Gluten Free! Simply Amazing!! A must try!! Chips and salsa are complimentary and excellent!! (Chips are only 50¢ after the first basket) The California Burrito is HUGE! Fajitas are my favorite! Our family goes about 2 times a week... VERY family friendly! You wont be sorry! :)

It would seem that Hidalgos is an unassuming store front at first sight, but please do not be fooled. Not only was the service amazing, the food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for a wonderful family dinner. We will see you next time we make it back to Belleville. :D

A great find for Mexican in the Belleville area. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was all homemade and cooked properly. I have never had steak at a Mexican restaurant cooked as good. The sauces were unique in taste and were very good. No complaints at all.

Where do I begin, I have had many items off of their menu and I have never been disappointed! Friendly staff and Tony is AWESOME in the kitchen!! Everything is FRESH. The whole restaurant is CLEAN CLEAN!! If you truly want good food, you have got to try Hidalgo!

Excellent food and service. Had the California Burrito, It was as big as my arm and had to be one of the best burritos I have ever tasted. The salsa was fresh and also very tasty as well. I would definitely come here again and would recommend this to anyone..

Good was amazing. Me and my husband are new to the area and we decided to give this place a try. The service was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable and walked us through the menu. We will 110% be going back again, probably tonight. Authentic food.

My boyfriend liked his meal but to be honest, mine was very bland no flavor at all and i had gotten the 4 combo, none of it tasted mexican, service was good and the place was clean and they were fast, i may go back there and give it a second chance
