Love this place - Ive been eating lunch (or getting takeout dinner) here for years (and buying their food whenever theyre set up on campus). Food is soooooooo good, some of their dishes have become comfort food for me. Im not even a vegetarian but I never leave feeling like my meal was lacking. Atmosphere is comfy, very chill and quirky - Indian food, in an old Victorian house, set to a reggae beat. I cant think of anything more Ann Arbor :) Also, the owners (a family) are so friendly, and are really wonderful and welcoming people - theyve also recently branched off into baking (a lot of it gluten free which is great for me) and everything they make is fantastic!

I really enjoy this place. I am not vegetarian, but have allergies to some meats. My wife has celiac disease and has to eat gluten free. Its really nice to have a place where both of us can eat anything without worrying. The food is very good, and clearly labeled. There are spicy and less spicy options. I really enjoy the mattar paneer (peas & cheese in a cream sauce) and chana Masala (spicy chickpeas). The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed (a lot of Bob Marley, both pictures & music).

We LOVE this place! Work right near by and it is the go to place for our largely GF/VG crew. Great, fresh, inexpensive vegan GF options...and baked goods to die for. Check out the always changing selection of GF/VG desserts in the cooler by the cash register. Also surprising little snacks like spicy fried chickpeas to munch on instead of chips;)

My favorite place to go eat in Ann Arbor. I am a townie and I highly recommend this to anyone that likes Indian food. It is a wonderful experience every time I go. Mouth watering food with a great atmosphere cannot be beat. Home like feel. Go in the back and get real dishes and silverware so as not to use the disposable items.

We have been loyal customers for years and they never disappoint! It is run by a warm, friendly family and the food is the best value in town. Even our child who is an extremely picky eater will clean his plate. I just hope the construction doesnt keep people away because its worth navigating the orange cones. :)

I LIVE for their Sag Dal! Its a problem, but I love that I can get good quality, vegan, Indian food so close to where I work! The price is super reasonable and people are always friendly. Plus, did you know you can get Soy Mango Lassis? That alone is worth the trip.

Amazing, homemade, buffet-style, vegetarian, Indian dining. Cost based on the weight of your plate. Lots of fresh options each day to choose from and serve yourself. Cons: Low presentation, plastic cutlery & Styrofoam dishes. Not a date place. Great for casual lunch.

I really liked the restaurant for three reasons: A. It is a pure vegetarian/vegan restaurant B. The food is simple yet tasty with lots of choices C. Unlike most buffet meals, you pay only for what you eat (by weight) I recommend the place highly and would go back.

love it! me and my bf went there like 3 times. very good vegetarian and vegan food, and you can decide how much youd like to eat(and how much youd like to pay since they weigh the food to get a price on the meal). definitely one of my favorite restaurants in a2.

OMFG the food is awesome... makes me drool just thinking about it. I brought some of this to north campus while waiting for a lab and made people seriously jealous from the smell. Non vegetarians like the place too.

The food is amazing, the staff is friendly, the price is fair, the location is convenient, and the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Probably my favorite place to go on my lunch break working downtown.

Love it! The buffet is always fresh, clean and a great value. Kosher Michigan, a kosher certification agency, certifies this restaurant making it the only sit down kosher restaurant in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Wonderful atmosphere and food. Food is very flavorful and nutrient dense. I love to come here any time Im in Ann Harbor. Self serve so easy to come and go as well as no obligation of leaving a wait tip.

Excellent food! Low cost too. This place probably has the best food-to-price ratio anywhere in Ann Arbor. You get: -large quantity of food -high quality food -low price Whats not to like?

You come here for the awesome & affordable food, not for the ambiance. Absolutely delicious, and when you leave you still feel good (unlike most other buffets which seem to sap your energy)!

To be frank, many vegan restaurants taste bland. Not Earthen Jar, the food is incredibly flavorful & always leaves me satisfied. Even my meat-loving friends enjoy it. :)

Food is amazing, even if youre not vegan (which I am not). Homely atmosphere in a great location. Definitely try the broccoli korma and the okra! Thanks, Earthen Jar!

A great vegetarian option in downtown Ann Arbor, offering a buffet of hot and cold Indian dishes. Its inexpensive and nothing fancy, but has many tasty options.

You pay by the pound, so you know how much you are eating. The quality of food is good, and to top it they have the wide variety of vegetarian dishes !!

This place deserves a lot of love. The buffet style, 6.50 per lb of food, and vegan/vegy options made my budget and tummy very happy. 10/10 recommend.

I agree with the person who said: "makes me drool just thinking about it." Every time I go there, the divine food gives me an emotional orgasm...

I love this place. My only problem has been the hours, because Im usually working until after they close. The way they make their food is unequal.
