Faced with the prospect of the usual travelers food (Applebees, the overpriced hotel bar, Quiznos) I stopped in to BeWon, a delightful little Korean restaurant. While they were out of the Eel Rice, I found the Hot and Spicy Stir-Fried Octopus delicious and, for my taste, very tolerably spiced. My nose didnt start running until at least 3/4 of the way through eating. I assume the owner was serving me, and the look of pride on his face says as much about this restaurant as the food. He might be the politest human being in the USA. You should frequent this establishment even just to enjoy such a high level of service. I rate the restaurant 5, but the octopus dish 4, because the octopus was a little chewier than Id expected. Otherwise, the food was very good.

I went here for lunch 1-3 times a week for about a year. Though I moved onto a new area and job I still have a fond place for this restaurant and their owners in my heart. The dishes, honestly speaking are average to amazing, but you have to go a few times to figure out what you like. The amount of food with the side dishes is extremely filling. I recommend the spicy pork bi bim bop (not really spicy, just tasty) and the yuk gae jong if you like beef and lots of spiciness. Try dipping the rice in the broth! Lastly, the owners are always so happy to see you if you are a returning customer. The customer service beats out any American restuaraunt Ive ever been to: small, large, corporate or not.

Probably my favorite Korean food in the area, and compared to most dine-in places in Ann Arbor, *very* reasonably priced. I love the sizzling Be Bim Bop. Also, their fried dumplings (Gyoza in a Japanese restaurant, do not remember what they call them here) are excellent, being crispy on the outside - I hate a gummy dumpling. They also give you a ton of little side dishes with your meal (the obligatory kim chee, of course, but at least half a dozen others) and will cheerfully bring more of any dish you particularly like. Service is good. You can easily fill up on $10 or $12/person, and still have some leftovers to take home. Recommend!

One of the best kept secrets in Ann Arbor. When I want to show off the restaurants in my hometown, I take them to Zingermans Deli for lunch and Bewon for dinner. Clean, filling, well portioned meals. The owners are there every day, busing and wiping tables, taking orders. They pour their souls into this lovely restaurant and it shows. Every entree comes with a complement of great little side dishes, including amazing in-house kimchi, seaweed salad, pickled radish and more. Im usually more excited for these than the entree. Ive never had a bad dish here and I always leave completely satisfied at a very reasonable price.

My family visited here for my parents anniversary. We wanted something special experience. Their food and service were so wonderful. Especially, their staff were soooo nice. Since it was our first dine at the Bewon, we asked to staff what we can try. We got spicy pork, Galbi and dolsot bibimbap. These dishes were just perfect. So fresh and fully flavorful! When we got a bill owner gave us surprise free desert for my parents anniversary. We all deeply appreciate for your service. We will be back soon again!

Having had experienced Korean food from a true Korean friend out in LA, this place is highly recommended. My personal favorite is the Jap Chae! They can make it with Tofu and it is delicious! The only problem is I live an hour away from this place and I wish they had more locations! For now the trip is worth it!! 10 STARS!!! THE BEST! =) Heidi

The service was great, the food was awesome, reminded me of my time in that country. I will definitely be eating here a lot, matters not that they are 2 hour drive away from my home. If you are looking for the authentic take of Pusan, look no further.

I havent had a meal this good in a long time! I got the Bibimbap with beef and it came with so many unexpected treats like kimchee, pickled radishes(I think?), soup, and other stuff too. It was delicious and pretty cheap. I cant wait to come back!

Excellent service, nice, cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent. Bi Bim Bap was great, side dishes were even better. Not crazy about the hot tea or Asian pears, but to each his own. Will be back, and often.

This family ran restaurant delivered tasty and enjoyable food. It is nice to see real Korean food in the Midwest. I recommend that you come for the food, not the atmosphere.
