Cathay Center is a great American Chinese food restaurant. Their cocktails are killer, especially the mai tais and the one- and two-person scorpion bowls. Between nightly karaoke, twice a week meat raffles, and trivia, the bar is often busy and has a fun mix of older townies with younger folks. The 20-somethings especially come out on Friday and Saturday nights. The food is decent, and theres an all-you-can-eat buffet on certain nights that has something for everyone. The food is abundant: youll definitely need a doggie bag! They have a room in the back that you can rent out for parties and events!

Went last week with my husband and was totally disappointed. The food was not fresh. The roast pork in the fried rice was not chewable. The ribs were dry; the cheese in the crab rangoon was turning. And , the carpet was filthy; I walked by the kitchen to go to the ladies room and couldnt believe how dirty is was. Would absolutely never go back! Did go to Cathy Pacific in North Quincy last night and the food was fresh; The selection larger, ; the portions larger; and there was actually crab in the crab rangoon. We had a great dining experience there.

My boyfriend on I got pork strips on Sunday afternoon to go. They were as tough as leather. Rather than throw them away I tried to heat them up in some water. I woke up at 1:00 am with horrible pains in my lower adomen that continued until 7:00. I know it was food poisioning. THey must leave the food out from the night before without refrigeration and serve again the next day until it is gone. In this heat that equals food poisitioning. Will report to the Dept of Public Health. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

food seemed like it was sitting out all day, and buffet was tiny, rice was all dry, saw someone come out to add food to the buffet and instead of taking the old rice and adding new fresh rice and food they just added food and mixed it with the old food i goto chinese buffets all the time and by far this one is the worse!!! dry old food gross. my wife wouldnt eat the buffet she ordered some food which was decent so i think this place would be better if once a hour or once every 2 hours they changed the food!!

A great place to hang out and listen to karaoke if thats what youre into... food is not the best with a little alcohol..you wont know the difference....but hey if youre looking for good entertainment and a good drink this is a great place..btw also has lots of ladies that swim in both ponds :)

Staff is very friendly and needed to help you they have karaoke almost every night which is fun to sit and listen to people sing the only one thing wrong is that this place is always hot you end up sweating so you cannot sit there for too long

Food is ok,chicken fingers taste uncook and rice is plain and decent, boneless spare ribs are ok and chicken teriyaki is very juicy and delicous ,but the other food is ok ,its not a place i would go back too when im craving for chinese food.

I got take out here and it was very good. Lo mein is excellent, not overly salty. Duck sauce is amazing. The egg rolls were dry but good with the duck sauce. Pork fried rice was mediocre, but the appetizers were excellent. Staff were friendly.

Food has gone way down hill since it burnt down in the mid 2000s. The old owners use to know your name when you walked in. Staff can be rude and just dont care or know how to make it right.

Food quantity is great, Quality of the food is okay(Good). Staff are friendly and courteous. Little busy restaurant, hard to find parking in peak hours. They have alcohol selection too.
