First-time visit. I had been warned about the terrible food, but I went there anyway with a date. I ordered sauteed scallops. One of the sides was advertised to be some kind of pasta. Great! 1. The "pasta," so called, had been sitting around for quite some time: it had the consistency of tapioca. Al dente? Pfeh! I could not tell what kind of "pasta" it was supposed to be. It was just awful, something like the gruel that Oliver Twist might have been served. 2. The "sauteed" scallops were not sauteed at all, but baked. I make sauteed scallops all the time and believe me these were not. They must have been baked much earlier, maybe at 3pm, because you cant bake scallops to order. The meal looked and tasted as if it had been made in my high-school cafeteria. It was that bad. Nothing was cooked to order, everything had been cooked in advance. So to serve this meal, the "chef" had to scoop out some of that warm tapioca pasta, grab 10 or 12 baked scallops, add a dollop of steamed veg, sprinkle some chopped parsely or something on top, and send it out. Thirty seconds max. This poor excuse for a meal cost me $21.00. Bah!

Came here during my first time in Scituate, visiting with friends who have a place here. The menu looked a tad pricey ($20+ for most entrees), but I was very pleased with the food quality. Appetizers: the calimari was excellent, the batter was just right and the squid very tender and fresh. The peppers were great, bringing just the right amount of zest, to the point that I didnt even need the cocktail sauce that came on the side. The chowder was good (even according to my friends who are Boston natives!), although a bit under-seasoned in my opinion. Entrees: We had the Atlantic Scallops and Lobster Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese was fantastic: the pasta was firm, cheese-sauce very flavorful, breadcrumbs were still crunchy and the lobster chunks were large and werent overwhelmed by the sauce. The scallops were fresh, tender and extremely well-cooked. Drinks: We picked out a bottle of Pinot Grigio from their wine menu (which was adequate) and it paired very nicely with our seafood. Overall: a tad more expensive than Id like, but still worth visiting!

A recent Saturday night went to the Mill Wharf to see a friends band play. We ordered the Stuffed Quahogs, garden salad and lobster stew. The clams and the stew were lukewarm at best. I received a greek salad then had to wait a considerable amount of time for the waitress to return to advise her of the mistake. The server was very pleasant. it was not a busy night. The taste of the food was good but COLD. I went to this restaurant when it first opened thought I would try it again...did will not return....too bad :( i like to shop local as my father and his family were in the restaurant business for over 40 years. but I also know what to expect. I was disappointed

Hadnt been to the Millwharf in years. Took my daughter there for an appetizer and lemonade on a nice summer day. Location is still nice and the service was acceptable but the food was absolutely TERRIBLE. The boneless Buffalo tenders were slimy and smelled like movie theater popcorn. They were probably soaked in butter lard. Not the healthiest menu choice, I realize, but nonetheless they could have been made better. I felt sick for an entire day after eating just one of them. My daughter couldnt even eat one after just a taste. By the looks of the food around us at other tables, it didnt look much better. Wouldnt go back.

Absolute garbage when busy. Placed a pick up order on the phone. They couldnt figure it out so I had to look i over the order when I got there meaning it wasnt put in yet. Then when finished, it sat there getting cold because apparently even though I pointed to exactly where I was waiting, no one cared to tell me it was was up. Then one of the pizzas was missing, so I had to wait while they made another one another day rest sat there getting cold.

Beautiful views, but horrible food ruined date night. My wife had a scallop dish, hoping for good fresh scallops, but it was the strangest pasta dish weve ever had, bad, fishy sauce, terrible flavors, all around inedible (we bother tried to eat it just to be polite, and ended up sending it back). Beet salad was amazing (good thing, because it became my wifes dinner) My burger was acceptable.

Wish it could be zero. Seated promptly, then ignored. Spoke to 3 hosts about getting service; then 3 different waitstaff who said it would be a minute. Never got service. Tables seated after the 3 of us got served. The wait staff order area was right by our table; as many as 5 wait staff gathered there ignored us with smirks on their faces. Got up and left.

We took my disabled, wheelchair-bound mother-in-law to lunch here and they treated her like a princess. 5 stars for their handicap accessibility, the ramp, the elevator, the handicap bathroom, all wonderful! Our server was extremely helpful and friendly and the food wasnt bad, either. And what a view!! Would definitely return, with our without the m-i-l :)

Went here for an anniversary dinner. Service was quick and friendly, food was very good. Calamari seemed fresh, not frozen or rubbery. We had scallops and salmon entrees, both were very good and fresh. Oh, and of course, a cup of chowda. Also, cant beat the view and atmosphere. Will be returning.

What a lovely place to spend and afternoon or evening. Its right on Scituate Harbor. Watch the lobster boats come and go. You can have a more formal (not too formal) dinner downstairs at night, or casual food upstairs at the bar. Try the Sunday Jazz Brunch.

Its the Milly, not known for its fine cuisine but for a cuppa chowder, cold beer with a hard working fisherman, and a view of their boats- cant beat it! (Thats upstairs - dont get downstairs much, so I dont know)

Beautiful location on Scituate harbor. Very nice people I have breakfast here once a month with a group of friends. Better for dinner especially in the warmer months.

Always great. 30+ years and the view is still wow. We always do the pub. Burgers and beer, with excellent service. Tonight the fries were absolutely perfect.

Fine for a drink. Definitely some history here and on the water. Locals say its gone down hill a bit in terms of food. I thought food was just okay.

Head upstairs for a more casual experience. The upstairs section is called Chesters. Much of the same food from the same kitchen with great views.

Good food, good atmosphere, great people. Theres no better place in town to enjoy a summer day or to weather a winter storm!
