After years of raving about The Bog Pub in Bourne, saying how family friendly it is because of their outside sand pits for the kids to play, I will never step foot in the restaurant again. I felt so disrespected by the owner. Just one of his many nasty comments, "that my kids came through the restaurant with sand on their hands to go into the bathroom!" I was in shock, I told him that "they went into the bathroom to wash the sand off to eat dinner." Then he said he cant have kids going into his restaurant like that, saying "this isnt Chucky Cheese!". The owner even went into the mens room while my 6 year old Son and his friend were washing their hands and told them "to get out!". I told the owner if he didnt want sand in his restaurant then dont have a Sand Box for kids to play in! His other nasty comment was, "I have kids too and you know what they do when they go to a restaurant, they sit in their seats!" My kids too buddy, but when your restaurant has two sand pits for kids to play in they are going to be kids and play in the area you provided for them! Let me also say, no one was seated outside because of the bad weather that was rolling through yesterday. My kids arent perfect but they were being good kids playing in the restaurants play area with parental supervision. When they got out of hand I was quick to jump on them. The owner shamed his patrons and wait staff were pissed off that they were "slammed" on a busy Saturday! They dont deserve anyones money to make people feel so disrespected!

We arrived on Thursday, August 3rd after a beautiful night out in Woods Hole. We were meeting a local Pocasset friend.........we waited and waited for service outside on your beautiful patio. We wanted drinks only. Several staff walked right by, we approached the hostess and she said we had to go inside and order our drinks. There appeared to be more staff than customers. I walked in to get our drinks and observed the hostess(rude) and 2 other staff on their CELL PHONES. The bartender (very nice) was quite annoyed that we did not get service outside.......Thankfully, your young busboy who is studying law spent time to talk to us and apologized that he could not serve us. He did entertain us with his high level of intelligence, great conversation and excellent manners. FYI-I was with a friend from a local Doctors office and a true Cape Codder and who knows everyone!! I think I will stick with Shuckers-Murph Quake and Karen know how to please their customers. NO, I will not return to your restaurant.

Great food and nice people. Sophisticated pub food. Went on a snowy Friday night and ate in the bar. Their fried pickles are excellent. The dipping sauce they come with is really nice. Mussels were also good. Could have used some bread to stop up the sauce, which I probably could have had if Id asked. I will be back.

Been driving by this place for years and decided to take myself and the kids. Menu was very impressive and anything but pub like with even polenta as a side dish! Also the back deck was surprisingly quaint as the place is sandwiched between two commercial businesses. Totally worth the trip.

Great place for the kids. Awsome outdoor bar area. Fenced in with large sandbox for keeping little ones under control.
