Not happy with todays visit. Yes, they have a very good selection of beer but no popcorn to go with the beer while waiting for our meals. We ordered potato skins for an app. They were slightly larger than red bliss potatoes and only 6 quarter slices and didnt have much flavor and were served warm not hot. The spinach pies (2) had minimal spinach and much feta cheese which made them very salty. The grilled meatloaf, usually good, wasnt tasty and not worth taking the left overs home. The Ruben sandwich was toasted and not grilled as it is usually done. It didnt have much taste even with the sauerkraut. All the meals came out warm. We attempted dessert and THAT finally came out hot. It was to come with vanilla ice cream but there was only chocolate ice cream available. Enough about the food, now for the service. Our wait staff was scattered and forgetful. She was managing 3 tables and was very slow with her service. She delivered 2 meals and the came back 5 minutes later with the 3rd meal and said she forgot about it. When we were getting ready to pay the bill we commented on the slow delivery of the food/ service and she blamed it on the kitchen. She claimed the kitchen was cooking and serving 3 groups of 11 who came in before us. I saw 2 of the groups arrive after we ordered our food and they still were waiting to be served when we were leaving. No matter the reason the service was poor. If you dont mind sitting waiting with an empty beer they go and enjoy yourself.

I went on a Thursday at 5pm. They were not very busy at all. I had to wait 10 min to have someone acknowledge that I was at the door. I got to pick my booth (the highlight of my experience). The food tasted good but I got a haddock sandwich that was DRIPPING with water and was falling apart. The floor was clean. The waitress checked on me only once(while the other waitress checked on other tables 3 times... her name was Jackie I believe) and never offered a refill on my $2.50 soda! I had to wait 6 minutes after I was done eating to get my waitress to acknowledge that I needed my check. Then I had to stare her down to pay it! She was literally standing there doing NOTHING. I might give it another chance because first impressions are not always correct. I might just ask for Jackie.. she seems like the lady I would like. I know waitresses live off of their tips... my bill was $13.36. out of $20 she gave me back $7. it should have been $6.64. forcing me to give her the extra change. I tipped her $4.64 in the end. I would have given her $5 had she given me the exact change.

After mixed reviews from friends, ranging from good food, especially the lamb, to pretty bad, gave it a shot. Service was pretty mediocre, the décor was a minor step up from the previous Picadilly Pub and the food was bland, greasy, tasteless and not cooked properly. It could have been bad luck, but its been open quite a few weeks now so the opening kinks should have been worked out. It seems the manager was kept busy doing the rounds of apologising to people about the food. The cost, well it might not have been so bad if the food or service was up to par, but as they were not, it felt terribly over priced for what it was. If the service improved, the food was cooked properly, with flavour and taste and the whole package polished up, this place could potentially hope to achieve pretty mediocre status. One thing going for it, there is plenty of parking and if you are able to eat outside in a beer garden, there is a cracking view, but it didnt appear to have a beer garden.

Been coming here with family back from when the place was still the Piccadilly Pub, never once have the wait staff been rude or the service been bad. Some nights are busier than others as would be expected; you have to account for that before complaining about how it took ten minutes too long to get your food. The food is what youd expect from a pub style place; if youre looking for fine dining you probably wouldnt be too impressed. Some dishes are rock solid and others hit or miss, but the prices are reasonable so there isnt too much reason to complain.

Beer selection, the addition of 10 taps has added a huge dimension to the selection. Local brewery choices include Wormtown BeHoppy and BBC Seasonal. New additions to the staff ( and more importantly deletions ) have turned a sleepy roadhouse into a great waterside venue. Anyone who knows the decline of the the horseshoepub and the ascendency of the BST is clue a s to what it really happening. Great

I enjoy it here. The pizza and chicken parm are great!!! I did have the fish and chips and it was very, very greasy....wont order that again, but burgers are good, beer choice is good. Sometimes the service is lacking, but overall decent. I will go back.

Good beer selection and pub food choices. Outdoor seating for the summer time. Accessible location. Definitely more of a bar setting as there arent many diners usually but bar is always busy with ample seating for all.

This was our first time back since the days of Piccadilly pub and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the beer selection was/is impressive. I am looking forward to my next visit

Nice restaurant located on the lake. Offers typical pub style food and the portions are generally huge. The quality of the food could be a little bit better, but other than that good please to dine.

Really wanted to like this place. Food was okay service was terrible which is why this is a 1 star. It seems like if you arent a long term local you get ignored so good luck to new customers

Food is just ok. Standard pub menu with a small Greek themed section. Pretty good beer selection. Service has been inconsistent. We go for trivia on Tuesdays which is fun.

Lively atmosphere, decent pub grub, good beer selection, nice to sit outside in the summer with the lake view - minor gripe that the background music is a bit loud inside.

Good food, friendly staff, trivia, and usually good bands on the weekends. Service can be a little slow if theyre busy, but its still a great place for lunch or dinner.

Not impressed. Place looks old and not inviting. Went here for Easter brunch. Food was ok. Seemed a little too busy for the staff, but we were a very large party.

Quality of the food was ok the owners are rude to thier employees and have no problem telling customers if they dont like something they can leave

Great food at very good prices. Love the atmosphere. Owners are small business owners who help the community. Highly recommend the lamb.

Food is decent, good pricing but the service is poor. While the staff is always friendly, it seems as theyre always understaffed.
