My First time eating at Savin Bar and Kitchen Jan 21st 2017 I can honestly say I will NOT recommend or return. The food wasnt my favorite but What really got me was the service. The Waiter was constantly running around the restaurant and to be honest it wasnt busy that night. I felt neglected by our waiter, we ended up canceling our last order of drinks because she took so long to come back to the table. I can totally understand if it was a busy night but I can count how many tables were being used that night. Not only did I feel neglected and felt like she didnt deserve a tip because I couldve served my damn self 20x better, she had the nerve to stop my friends at the door stating "dont come back here if your not going to tip" never been treated like that in my life, it was womens day and it was a women who made me feel like I wasnt "welcomed" When her job is to make people feel welcomed... now if this is a place you feel comfortable to eat at ... that is your choice.

Went there on St. Patricks day. First thing I noticed was how loud it was. We had to shout to have a conversation. I think they need some drapes. Drinks were good. Service was friendly. They did a nice job with the renovation. Then the food came. I had the steak. Looked great but was very tough - and room temperature. The potato was a cross between a tater-tot and cheese ball. Not great. And then smack in the middle of the plate was a bone sliced in half to expose the marrow. Also room temperature. It had the consistency of Crisco. Maybe best spread on a cracker? Not sure where they are going with that. Would I go again? You bet! I can walk there. Folks are nice. Place looks great. Im sure theyll work out the kinks.

I appreciate the environment this restaurant has. Every time Ive been to this venue, the service, food and music has been great! I came in this past Sunday and the music was playing a soft rock genre - which surprised me because every time I had gone there, there was jazz, or top R&B hits playing. I simply asked the hostess and she recognized the difference when she arrived as well. So with her help we were able to have the music changed, and though my meal wasnt properly cooked, it was redone for my satisfaction. Both the hostess and the manager were apologetic and it was good to have my experience mimic the rest of my visits. THANKS!!

New in town. Went here alone for dinner and a drink at the bar. And wow! What a friendly bartender. He knew everyone by name and was fun and kind--even to me. Food was great. Good house-made veggie burger. Jalapeno aioli was super. Fries were decent, thick-ish and crisp but not too crisp. A little more seasoning or salt on them would have made them terrific, but they were still good as is. Oooh, and the seasonal sangria right now is the bomb: strawberry limoncello sangria. So. Freaking. Good. Will definitely be going back!

Waited unattended for over 20 minutes while the hostess only took care of people who seemed to be her personal friends. When tried to approach her, I was dismissed, and she moved on to have a conversation with people who were already sitting at a table. Ive come before at earlier times and staff is friendly, yet I wouldnt plan to come hungry for dinner to be ignored for a long period of time.

This is local and I am happy to have the option. The pizzas are worthy, the salads with added protein is a good purchase. The chicken tenders - negative. They are coated in a less than "Eh" sauce and taste well over-fired and over-priced. The steak tips can have an off-flavor and the pairings always leave me sort of confused?! Good seating and rather decent for breakfast basics.

It was a relaxing atmosphere but should have sensed something when it was pretty dead at the bar on a Friday night. Bartender was horrible.....bad service (gave wrong drink then never refilled water...never asked if I wanted another beer etc and it was not busy). Staff was laid back and complaining right in front of us. not going back.

I live within steps of the place, but youll hardly ever find me inside. Service is poor and that speaks of very bad management. It used to be very good when it first opened. Really good food. I recommended it to friends, but that was then. Now? I walk the 4 or 5 extra blocks to the Harp & Bard.

Really good comfort food like beer can chicken and gourmet egg rolls. Nice upscale atmosphere that is still low key and friendly, although I agree with another reviewer that trivia night can be too chaotic and noisy. I also love their great wine list!

The food is mid to high end comfort food and its pretty good. They have a pretty decent draft beer selection too. While overall the experience is good, I wouldnt go out of my way to come here with so many other options in the city...but I live 2 blocks away.

I came here for dinner on a recent trip to Boston. It was within walking distance of my friends apartment and we had an amazing time. Friendly service and very good food. The specialty margaritas were nothing to sneeze at either. Would definitely return!

The bartender spent the entire time flirting with two guys who talked about their cars and vacation homes. She literally propped her legs spread out on the edge of the bar. Gross, and indicative of a place trying to be hip but not ready for prime time.

Absolutely love this place! Our bartender Bill was not only helpful with the food menu and beer recommendations, he gave us recommendations on where to travel in the area. Great food and drinks, definitely coming back before we leave.

Great service, amazing dinner and brunch. Their veggie burger is bean based and delicious, their eggs benedict is too small as a single, but their stuffed French toast is cheaper and the perfect size! Highly recommend.

I usually eat my oysters at legals or a high end oyster bar but decided to try them here. I ordered 15 and all 15 came out hot. I sent them back and when he returned with fresh ones those were warm too. Never again!!!!

The food is pretty decent, and if you have nothing else to do in Savin Hill its a good stop. I would rather go to McKennas or The Harp though... do not suggest their trivia night on Tuesday... Sangria is great though!

They were rude ....the Hostess kept interrupting me while i was Taking my order , and as i waited for my Take out they continuously made rude comments and gestures as the patrons walked out of the door
