Aquitaine - Dedham, MA – 5/23/2016 Having been here a few times I kind of knew what to expect… They have three locations and tonight I’m in Dedham Massachusetts. This French restaurant does absolutely everything they do well… First thing I look forward to mini French loaf served warm with whipped butter... Absolutely fantastic! General rule of thumb is that if the bread is good… The meal is great… Its funny… My thoughts this evening were along the lines of some kind of seafood… Until I met Cynthia my server… I asked her recommendation for something truly exceptional and she did it with such passion that I completely changed my focus from sea to land… The main this evening… Steak Au Poivre… Succulent Beef Tenderloin prepared with a pink center, a Cognac-Green Peppercorn Cream Sauce done as only the French can do, Grilled Scallions, Potato Gratin… Splendidly Spectacular! This dish will turn a vegetarian carnivore! As a side… The Lollipop Kale…, a hybrid of Kale and Brussel Sprouts in a savory Garlic and Sea Salt broth that is absolutely to die for!… And while the desert offerings were absolutely mouthwatering… Having had my quota of desserts in the last few, just my signature Cappuccino… What an amazing meal and dining experience! Cynthia’s passion for what she does made this a memorable night in every detail! I will add this to my go back to list…

When it first opened, food and service was great. We took a break for a while and returned today for Sunday Brunch. The brunch was ok, dishes were not hot as expected at a Sunday brunch. I stirred my coffee with a knife because I gave up waiting for a spoon. My 8 year old son ordered a plain hamburger (assuming that was on the kids menu). He got an adult cheeseburger with bacon onions, lettuce and tomato on it. When I told the server he said oh I assumed you wanted this but did not offer to change it. So my son picked at the bottom part with no cheese on it. I saw him say something to the manager and figured he would comp us for his mistake and assumption. We got the bill and paid $15.95 for a picked at cheeseburger. Awful service. We will never return.

Expected a lot better for $190 (4 people, 1 drink). 4 scallops for $28 was pathetic, so my wife ended up eating everyone elses food and the bread, which the waitress kindly kept bringing. The peppercorn sauce on the steak was good, but the steak itself VERY chewy, and the crispy chicken for my son was inedible (the sour taste turned him and me off, but instead of sending it back, we brought it home for our dog who seemed to like it). Chocolate Mousse was OK, but Bertuccis is better. The atmosphere was pleasant and it was a birthday dinner, so we did not make a fuss, but at this price we will not be coming back. Also, every course took forever to arrive, even though it did not look overly busy.

Okay experience during Dine Out Boston Event. It was only a two-course meal. For appetizer, there was a choice of Beignets, Arugula & Boucheron Salade, or Watermelon Gazpacho. For the entree, there was Cornmeal Crusted Trout, Duck Confit Parisian Gnocchi, or Berkshire Pork Schnitzel. For dessert, was Flourless Dark Chocolate Truffle Cake or Lemon Soufflé Glace. The service was not great. The staff was somewhat slow even though there were not many other people eating. We had to ask for the waiter to bring us bread even though we saw every other table get their bread without asking.

One word, Horrible!!! I went there with 3 friends and spent a lot of money. This is the worst service in the whole of Massachusetts. We had a water spill due to the waiters passing by in a hurry, and no one came to clean or help despite us informing them. Our pregnant friend was wet all over due to the spill and they left water on the floor right beside her for the entire time we were there. With the food being expensive, you will think it would be great, WRONG! it was terrible. I and my fiends will never go back there. This is at the Dedham -legacy place branch.

They were not packed, but definitely overwhelmed in Fathers Day. Had a 1pm reservation. Didnt get a waitress until 1:25. Drinks came at 1:45. When food arrived after 2, they were issues, but at this point we didnt want to complain as I am sure staff must have been ready to explode with all issues they were having.

Great service, atmosphere and superior preparation of each dish gets Aquitane Dedham a five star rating. Ive dined three times and was delighted by the attention to detail each time. Al Fresco dining is another plus. Their burger is exquisite and the truffle aioli served with the hand-cut fries is to die for.

My first experience at Aquitaine Bistro was good. The food was great. The service was very fast and we got our entre in no time. The servers were very polite and sweet. When I first entered the resturant I could easily tell it was french restaurant. I really the place and hope you enjoy it too.

One of the fancier restaurants at legacy place. They have a good mix of pasta steak and seafood options along with rotating daily specials and raw bar. All the food is very good. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Good for birthdays too where they give you a signed birthday card.

We had some excellent service here, and prices were reasonable, especially for a French restaurant, making it a viable alternative to the other fare in Legacy Place. Food was delicious, and we stuck mainly to the French fare, but there are other options (ie. Italian).

The lobster dish and trout were fantastic. Great little patio to sit out on as well -- reservation through open table was efficient and painless. Definitely overlooked in terms of legacy place locations - a hidden gem for a relaxing meal. Sangria was good as well.

Good food, definitely on the pricier end. The goat cheese appetizer was excellent. The staff are very friendly and put a special note on yoru table if youre celebrating an event.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. The manager and servers offered their congratulations and made sure we had a special night. The food was delicious and would recommend it.

A very crowded, rushed and noizy atmosphere. Food was OK but quite small portions. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are trying to impress your guests. Paul

Drinks here are always fantastic, but food is a bit overpriced. My scallops were only ok, but my husbands steak au poive was amazing.

Good food and service but a little more $ than I wanted to spend ($8 for a Harpoon IPA). Check the prices on the menu before you go.
