Lovely interior, well executed food. Unfortunately, not paying attention to ambience. On a quiet Wednesday lunch, a croque monsieur took 25 minutes to deliver, at a time when there was only one other diner, a fellow chef that M. Robert was chatting with and cooking for. In addition, no thought was put into the music, which was at a high volume and vacillated between opera, country, and generic pop including torch covers of Katy Perry. Want to go back to try more of the food and compelling wine list, but expect more from the front of the house.

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots in Boston, and by far my favorite French restaurant in the city. Between their expansive menu (that offers quite a few fish and vegetarian dishes) and the authentic feel (multiple times my neighboring diners have been speaking french!) you nearly feel like youre dining in Paris. Escargot, mulles frites, salads, chicken... everything has been delicious! If youre lucky, the owner will be extra-generous with the wine pours and offer an apperitif (or five) towards the end of your meal. Enjoy!

Its wonderful having this bistro within a short walk, downhill at that. It really does bring the 5th/6th Arrondissement to mind for us: the size, the immersion in French, and, of course, perfectly delicious food, and not what usually passes for "French." We are making a reservation for lunch today, which led me to the site (for the tel. no.) and led me to say finally, how much we love it. Lead me to it! La donna vecchia

Just celebrated our birthdays together at this wonderful restaurant! The decor is elegant but not pretentious. We could have a conversation and actually hear each other without straining .The food and wine were fabulous, good portions and artfully plated. Julienne, our server was attentive throughout our dining experience.

Three Wednesdays I have come to experience the sweetbreads special. Each time I have been given lame excuses about not having the featured item. I am from out of state and have even verified the prior evening the availability the following day...to no avail! I will never bother again. The owner doesnt care.

I dont see much of a difference between this place and the former occupant, Pierrot. Although perhaps a slightly more adventurous menu with a number of wild game and organ meat dishes. Which I do love. Space is quiet and cozy, romantic but not oppressive.

Very nice authentic French restaurant. Excellent food and ambiance. Quite reasonable for lunch. We had rich and flavorful lobster bisque and classic Eggs Benedict. I will go back next time Im in Boston if parking can be found.

Be ready to spend a pretty penny here, but the service is great and the food is spectacular. I would highly recommend this place to any and all who are looking for a romantic date spot.

Very posh and cute. Food was fantastic. Quite romantic but it is a bit tight inside. Highly recommend it as a fancy date night!
