Ok, Im a truck driver from Los Angeles so you can trust that Ive eaten at several restaurants in every major us city and my review will be in consideration of this. I also consider the location of the establishment as well as how it compares to other restaurants of its kind. So, in comparison to its immediate surroundings, if youre dropping a load at the produce center or youre just in the general Chelsea area, Dockside is a great choice at a decent price. It is a bar and restaurant so it appeals to the young whod like to grab a bite real quick or the old who are divorced and are halfway through their second drink at 1pm on a Monday. Wtf? The decor is average but clean with a sporty theme. The restroom smells nice and seems to be well kept. The exterior is nothing special but is also hard to miss, so whatever. The service is great, no pressure and simply stated. As a trucker I parked my tractor in the lot that was easily accessible but not appropriate according to the manager. She didnt like that we were taking up 6 spots with one vehicle and she didnt hesitate to tell us to move, but we didnt and she wasnt too bent out of shape about it. There was plenty of parking on that lot but we wanted to park close because we are lazy truckers (stereotype). Just in case she reads this, I apologize. Now, the food was a surprise. Youd expect it to be ehh, but it actually was pretty aahh! Large portions, hot on arrival and appropriately priced. The taste wasnt "I gotta go back to dockside" but more like "eehh, I guess we can just go to dockside". Basically, it isnt brag worthy but it is return worthy. As for my drink, Pepsi. It is very seldom that you are able to find an establishment that mixes fountain drinks to taste like the canned version. Docksides Pepsi tastes like one of those cheap off brand cola from the super market. I pay very close attention to soda quality so dont judge them too hard on this. Let me do it. If I were to compare Dockside nationally, I would say they are similar to Buffalo Wild Wings minus the decor. In conclusion, You wont be disappointed with the price/quality ratio and the service should not prompt any complaints. Good establishment. Will return in a smaller vehicle. PS, I dont know what the hell Mat K is talking about.

Ive frequented this restaurant since I moved here 6 months ago, and I hate to admit that Ive spent quite a bit of time here (only restaurant thats close!). So Im rather familiar-- and heres my analysis: terrible food, terrible service, terrible drinks, terrible pricing (even though its cheap). Avoid at all costs!!! Normally I wouldnt frequent a bar with such terrible food and poor service except for the bartenders. And at one point I thought they were great. But do not be deceived! They just want your money and your tips!!!!! At one point, I thought that my regular status would bring some perks. Unfortunately, that was a pipe dream. If youve been there a few times and its busy, you will be the last person served. Do yourself a favor and dont be recognizable-- youll have a better chance of being served. If you come in and order more than two shots, you will be cut off. As you know, this is not a state law, this is not a county law, this is not a Chelsea law, this is a Dockside-Chelsea law. And the bartenders dont enforce it across the board, or based on how much youve had... its a matter of whether or not they like you. The trick is to just not go in. They recently fired 3 of their best bartenders simply because they didnt work enough. Craziness!!!!! A good bartender is a good bartender! Dont have a life if you want to work here, apparently. The food here tastes good, but watch out the next morning. It will hurt. Its rather difficult to alienate a regular such as me. However, the dockside has managed to do it, because of their terrible food, their poor service, and their bad policies. 1 star.

I came in to the bar for a couple of drinks after a long exhausting day. Wrong!!! i shouldve gone to the hotel and have my drinks at the lobby bar. I sat at the bar for nearly 8 minutes before being acknowledged. Even though the bartenders had served and took care of (a relatively young woman and another not that young) an old fellow sitting right next to me. They both completely ignored me. Food was ok, nothing relevant to say about. The manager (young skinny fellow) seemed too busy expediting food for the rest of the patrons to address my issue. On the positive side, i can say that i ordered draft beer and i can certainly say that the KEG was fresh. Unfortunately, service and staff killed the experience.

First, I must say that the locations in Malden have always been good, but weve came here twice and the food was not great. I was dissatisfied and so were the kids. When you have a kid complain about simple pasta and sauce being disgusting and taste like juice spilled in it thats a problem. The chicken for the chicken parmesan looked overcooked. The super nachos were more like a bag of tortillas with random sprinkles of cheese, and tomato and the buffalo wings were cold. The server was friendly but the greeter wasnt the best and that last visit confirmed I will not be back. I would not recommend, but please give the Malden locations a try.

Overall - Great lunch atmosphere. I popped in between appointments today, and the food, atmosphere and staff were all very inviting. Expectations - Staffing and quality virtually impossible these Days - Not great, but not poor by any means.

Perfectly decent, inexpensive chain serving well made comfort food. No surprises at all, except perhaps for the remarkable beer program with emphasis on many local brews. I highly recommend the fish & chips or the American chop suey.

Standard bar fare with beautifully reasonable beer prices. Theyve got tater tots fresh, hot, and crispy, and an amusing Friday night karaoke spread. Come for simple, easy, and relaxing times, though be warned it can be fun too.

Steamers and lobster roll were awful. The food has gone downhill, this place was amazing when it opened. It doesnt take much for steamers but they had zero flavor. The lobster roml tasted artificial.

On a Friday nite, no whole lobster, prime rib would take awhile, forgot to serve salads, wrong charges for meal, no brewed decaf coffee. Took forever to get food and check.

Wait staff is horrible. This Dockside is a disgrace to the other Docksides in the state. Youre better off going to Malden or Wakefield. I will never step got in here again.
