As soon as we walked in, I felt quite out of place. While the café was decorated nicely, a few things stood out. #1, The prices. While the prices may have seemed okay, after further inspection we did find them to be very overpriced. I ordered a waffle with cinnamon apple topping, a plate of hash browns, and an apple juice. The sizes were MINISCULE. The single waffle itself with no topping was $9. The total for just that came in at $17. They also had an issue with stocking, as the man in front of us had to ask for three different things before finding something that they had. The free water was provided from a dispenser in the front window, and was lukewarm. All in all it was overpriced, pretentious, and very lackluster.

I love the food here!! The lunch sandwiches are better than any Ive had at a chain (including Panera). My favorites are the Vermonter (maple honey turkey, cheddar cheese, granny smith apple & cranberry aioli) and the Brusci (cracked pepper turkey, jalapeno cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, spicy brown mustard). But I dont think you can go wrong with any of them. Breakfast is a treat! Today, I sampled their special: a cheese biscuit covered with sausage gravy and two eggs. It was the best biscuit with gravy Ive ever had. The hash browns were perfectly seasoned too. Last but not least, I love their buttercream-iced cookies. They usually have these around holidays. Mouthwateringly delicious!

I just had a great Pear Crisp Cupcake! Spice cake filled with real pear pieces, topped with vanilla bean frosting. Yum.... They also had chocolate cupcakes filled with peanut butter and topped with chocolate ganache, red velvet, almond joy, and a few others. Plus cakes, cookies, pie and excellent coffee. There are a couple tables and a few stools at a counter at the window. I think the server said that all the cupcakes are $3 each or $15 for 1/2 dozen. Its right next to Fresh Chow, and theres free off street parking on the side.

We spent a couple nights in the area after trying a local diner that was disappointing the day before, we tried this bakery for breakfast and it was fantastic! Very easy going inside, great selection of meals and coffee and my daughter, who eats pancakes everywhere declared the apple pancake the best ever!

Had really good iced coffee! I drink it black, and Im picky about coffee. They really impressed me. Will go back for breakfast soon. The entire shop is really beautiful, clean, and a great atmosphere.
