So fed up with this place. Just tried to buy a large iced coffee. At nearly $5.00 its a rip off and shame on me for agreeing to pay that amount. Especially considering the coffee isnt even that great. When I handed my debit card to the twit behind the counter, he literally squeaked in alarm, then pointed to a tiny label on the register saying $5.00 minimum purchase for credit/debit cards. So no coffee for me and no money for Boston Bean. Fine by me. Their coffee is weak anyway...I should know because I buy it (and only it) quite often WITH MY DEBIT CARD! Screw this place, theyre not worth the trouble or the high prices they charge for the mediocre food they serve.

I work in the area and have been here a few times, I keep going back hoping someone will actually listen to my order and not over charge me because I want to "get rid of the tomato and cheese but keep the bacon" on their tuna blt. They charge the same price for no cheese... but if you add cheese to a sandwich you pay more? When I asked they said I was still getting the lettuce and bacon? Unfortunately I just dont like giving my hard earned money to rude people who overcharge - Id like to support a local mom and pop - but they just arent worth it.

The Boston Bean House in Maynard is the perfect cafe for me. Its much larger than most other cafes - the tables are well spaced. The coffee is terrific, not simply good (my favorite is the mocha in a large mug). The muffins and croissants are delicious, and the sandwiches are inventive and mouth watering as well! I use the Bean House to bring the family on Saturday morning, meet friends and also as a second office on quiet Friday afternoons. Oh, and the hours are super convenient: 7am to 4pm.

A friend and I went here yesterday and had a panini with grilled chicken breast, which was thick and tender, artichoke hearts, plenty of em, spinach, fresh, pesto, and special request for cheddar cheese instead of swiss. Yum, was really good. For this and a homemade, not too sweet lemonade, was $9.66. Chairs comfortable. Didnt pay attention to service. Friend liked the pickle, I gave her mine cause I dont eat em. Going back with other friend soon..

Ordered espresso and grilled cheese and bacon after lunch rush. Service was good and prompt, decor was fine if not a bit stuffy. free wifi with password on receipt (clever) but no outlets (unfortunate). Price was highish (just under 10) but not outlandish. Espresso was very poor, weak crema, over extracted, mediocre beans. Sandwich was really quite good, cheese well melted and bacon was clearly quality.

Every time I go here I get a smile. Love the people. I am a coffee snob.. Generally only drink George Howell or Fair Exchange, but they make my latte nicely. I will drink the bean. :) Sometimes I love the food, sometimes Im okay with it. I have an egg allergy that they are happy to help me avoid. Atmosphere is okay, love sitting outside.

The service is great and the coffee is better. Eli and Eli run a tight ship and make it an enjoyable experience to shoot the breeze while waiting. The food is top notch with sandwich professionals in the back. The bakery produces delicate treats that hit the spot when you need a sweet.

Very tasty food, probably the best place to eat in Maynard. The hours are eccentric though - they do lunch but not dinner, and are closed for all sorts of holidays plus on a whim, so if youre making a trip to Maynard just for this place, be sure to call ahead.

I enjoy giving my money to mom and pop shops that make good food and coffee. BBH does both. In regards to price, you pay for what you get. I go there all the time with my wife, kids, by myself ... it is all good!

Best Americano in a 10+ mile radius, VERY kid friendly, made-to-order sandwiches from a fairly big menu. A nice place to hang for breakfast or lunch with the kids and friends. Big grilled cheese sandwiches.

Love their breakfast sandwiches. Nice atmosphere, bring a lap top, hang out and watch the world go by. Nice weather is coming and with any luck their puts some tables and chairs outside.

Coffee is decent, food is decent, but the staff is extremely grumpy and unpleasant. What ever you do, dont ask for a coffee drink they have not heard of before (like a cortado)

Good coffee, great sandwich selection, fair prices. Fast and friendly... Only request would be to use fresh eggs on their breakfast sandwiches.
