Went to Night Market to try it out with some friends on an early Friday night. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and easily found a spot. The space is small, but cozy and urban feeling. By 7:30 p.m. the place was packed and loud. We ordered a selection of stuff including: Pork belly toast, daikon fries, fried chicken wings, brussels sprouts, and a couple of different yakitori grilled skewers. The plates were reasonably priced (but not cheap), interesting in their execution, and pretty tasty. Out of all the things we ordered the daikon fries and tebasaki - sweet garlic glaze fried chicken wings were the most satisfying. The experience didnt knock my socks off, but its a nice place to go and have some asian tapas and a drink. *Note - if youre looking for the entrance and cannot find it, the location and front door is in the basement of the building right across from Pinocchios pizza.

I went to the Night Market not knowing what to expect. It is now my favorite dinner spot in Cambridge. Try to imagine the best Asian inspired food youve had in your life. Now, imagine something so good it makes you go "wow" after taking a bite. That is this place. It is situated below street level with brick walls covered in graffiti art. It is amazing just to look at. We were served very quickly and our favorite dish was the Daikon Fries - Kaiju style. So delicious! We ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared amongst the table. That is how to do it. The appetizers and main courses are similar sized. I give this place my highest recommend. Very good service too! A really modern, young, edgy place.

Loved this quirky little place. Everything on this creative little asian fusion menu looked amazing and was worth a try. I made sure to try the slushy drinks and that was a great choice which i didnt regret. I believe it was an apple cider flavored slushy. The food items come out in small portions and as they are ready. So this wont be a conventional everyone gets their meals at the same time situation. Which is ok because frankly I love to try everything and it seems this approach is conducive to sharing. I would also suggest sitting at the bar to kinda of be close to the action. You can get a little bit of view of the food being prepped and going out along with the beverage prep.

This place is a good example of how the front office can ruin your restaurant. We went there to see if we could get after dinner drinks. The wait was okay, but the attitude of the hostess was pure annoyance and anger. She made comments to us that indicated that we were idiots and with a tone that implied that "how dare we ask her questions" and "how dare we even think that we can be put on the wait list." We did not have any food here and it looked really good, but alas we will never go here because of the reception we received from the front office. Night Market management, you should attempt to fix this, but you have lost my business.

Pros: Love the small plates and tapas! The Kaiju fries were awesome! Very cool mural art on the walls and it has a great vibe and atmosphere. Cons: Unfortunately, the place is tiny af, and does not appear to be very accessible to wheelchair and walker users. The bathrooms are unbelievably tiny and the only means of ingress/egress that I was aware of was down a set of stairs. If accessibility is something you need for dining out, Night Market will not be able to provide.

Harvards upscale version of an East Asian night market. We had the daikon fries (which were awesome and they dont skimp on the sauces) and the everything skewer platter and it was enough for the two of us. Our favorite skewers were the imperial pork, chicken hearts, and the chilis, which werent too hot. The staff was friendly and since its a small space, theyll only seat your party after everyone arrives... which worked out pretty well for the two of us on a Friday night

We loved the space!! Its small, but has so much character! The walls are really cool, and it feels like youve found a secret spot. The food is really interesting, and pretty cheap/small so you can try lots of things. They werent running their normal tasting menu the week we were there, but that definitely seems worth it. We didnt have any this time, but the cocktails are supposed to be really neat as well (definitely going to try the sake slushies next time!)

The Night Market is an eclectic little restaurant in the basement of the building. Don’t be fooled by the exterior or interior – the food is delicious. A few things to note: - It can be quite difficult to get a seat as it’s often quite full - It is a very casual atmosphere, don’t expect something fancy - The bathroom is shoved into a corner behind someone’s seat - The food is worth it

The food was lacking a bit in flavor--quite bland and disappointing. The cocktails we ordered--the cucumber pear and Sichuan peppercorn ones--were not good. You could not taste any alcohol and the flavor was also extremely muted. All in all, an Americanized interpretation of Asian street food that might be suited for people who arent familiar with Asian cuisines.

I love Night Market, from its basement location, to its atmosphere, to the servers who just get it. Order as many of the small plates as you can, and dont even think about missing the daikon fries, they are amazing. Also be sure to to get the Korean Rice Cakes (they arent what you picture, but oh so good), and order a Sake Slushy.

Night Market has some really unique and amazing food. The dishes are well thought out and are phenomenal in taste and style. Its a real breath of fresh air in the Harvard Square restaurant scene with a super chill and cozy vibe and focus on great food. The drinks are unique and great as well. Would highly recommend this spot!

Amazing restaurant. My favorite in the greater Boston area. Asian "street food" done in an awesome, upscale manner. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the place is always willing to go the extra mile for you. I go there regularly, and wish it was right down the street so I could go even more often!

Theres a large segment of white middle America who have never seen food like this before. Youve got to try it at least once. Get ready to eat weird and wonky food that turns out to be delicious. The daikon fries are absolutely divine and they serve alcoholic slushies that tend to be awesome too.

Absolutely amazing place. Their spin on Asian street foods is fabulous. I listened to the suggestions of our waitress and I didnt regret. Its hard to tell which skewer was better because they were all different yet delicious. Dont forget to try the Nigori green Sake!

This is the good kind of hole-in-the-wall, featuring Asian fusion cuisine (and cocktails!) several cuts above the norm. Not too spicy, or too pricey, in case that matters. Do yourself a favor and try the "Shaky-Shaky Beef" and the daikon fries.

Probably the best restaurant per dollar (and second best overall) in Harvard Square. This restaurant is criminally under-known and underrated. Menu is constantly changing but consistently features tasty, interesting modern Asian food.

Great Asian-inspired dishes. The daikon fries with black bean garlic aioli are a must! They also have 2 tasting menus, one with their most famous menu items, one that changes daily according to produce and chefs inspiration.
