I used to live about a 5 minute walk away from this place, so Ive had many meals from them. Their biggest problem is consistency in quality of their dishes, and across different days/shifts. Generally, I found some of their typical American Chinese fare including egg rolls, crab rangoon, pork chow mein, chicken fingers, BBQ boneless ribs, to be a little below average, but edible; pork fried rice a bit above average but consistency is not always there. If your rice is good, you got lucky. I have had bad experiences with their Polynesian dishes. I wouldnt recommend the Tahitian Wedding, which has a weird TV dinner taste, nor the Wor Bor, which doesnt have flavors that work well together. The Szechuan dishes are spicier, and perhaps more bearable, but Im not a big fan of any of the seafood dishes at Tahiti, they just dont taste fresh. Over many years, I had tried most of the menu items here in a futile attempt to find something I genuinely enjoy that is made consistently well across different days and shifts. At a certain point, I gave up. They have a divey lounge (with furniture/decor from the 1960s) that picks up in the late evenings. One of the bartenders is really friendly, the other one not as much, and comes across as a prick who hates his job and his customers. After 11:30pm, a lot of the service and restaurant industry folks from around Dedham and Legacy Place come in, so it gets very busy. A bunch of people are usually there to blow their rent money on Keno, which makes the atmosphere depressing. Overall, not recommended unless you live very close by and are too lazy to get into your car for better food, drinks, ambiance, and service.

You Mr. Jeff Derochea are a liar. You and your friends started the ENTIRE thing, being so disgustingly disrespectful to a woman that held the door for you and your drunk friends. Do you always harass women and talk to them in such a derogatory manner all the time. Lets pull the tapes and then you can talk all the crap you want. Tell your wife how you talk to woman. Your disgusting and your going to talk about us. You started the whole fight you and your punk friends. Your not just a liar but your a bully. You hit him first TELL the truth coward. One word.... CREEP If you and your friends didnt have such disgusting mouths you wouldnt of gotten punched. For the record you guys hit him first. Lesson learned. Filthy mouth. Next time take that $300.00 and buy some class.

Have known Harry and his restaurant since the 60s. Recently stopped by to order something to go. Decided on one of the luncheon specials but it was close to 5:00 PM. The order taker - a man in his late 40s or early 50s - wasnt happy about my ordering a luncheon special after hours but took the order. I expected the $1.50 premium mentioned in the menu but paid the order without giving it enough thought. When I got home and thought about it, I took a closer look at the transaction. The receipt showed that I had been charged a fully 50% surcharge for my order, not a dollar and a half. There is plenty of Chinese food available and this clowns decision has cost them a customer who has been with them for 50 years!

Best Polynesian style Chinese food around you would need to go to Kowloon in Saugus to find the same great quality! This isnt for everyone as it is not the current popular style, I appreciate all types myself. Food is fresh ,plentiful and the drinks are VERY generously made! Great service, very clean soooo TWO thumbs up!! To the guy that complained about the surcharge, I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that dosent charge more for a luncheon special after stated time frame and instead of crying here you should have given the owners a chance to fix this first. Moaning on the internet without giving the owners of a business a chance to fix things is just plain lazy and unfair to the business...

When your party usually drops over $300 on descent food and drink each visit, you shouldnt expect to get sucker punched and a tooth chipped on your way out of the bathroom by a bunch of local yahoos for a mistaken identity. After talking to a friend on the towns police force, I guess this place is know for having this type of riff raff hang there. My party frequented this place quite a bit, but now will be heading elsewhere. Too bad for the waitstaff, who we tipped very well.

The ambiance is everything here, the food is poor to so-so. Fantastic vinyl kitsch, the soundtrack was surfer music, and the bowl drinks were straight out of 1968. I had a delicious Blue Hawaiian, but the Mai Tai seemed to be the favorite. The food was less impressive, crab rangoon was pasty and oily, and the Surf and Sea ( I kid you not) was bland even though drowning in soy sauce. Id go for the drinks, and to sit in the bar and play keno, and listen to the music.

The lunch menu is quite the value. Try the chicken teriyaki. The food itself is nothing special but is certainly worth what you pay with lunch starting around $4.50-9.50. For $4.50 it was a lot of food for lunch. Food came out quickly making for a quick turn around for lunch.

Midrange Chinese food, but its like childhood for me. The décor hasnt changed since at least the 90s. The General Gao is a unique take on the dish which isnt bad, but they probably should have gone with a different name. It has sort of a spicy honey taste.

The food isnt that great. They have an excellent selection of tropical alcoholic beverages that are very good which is primarily why I go there. However, some of the servers cut you off after just two drinks. That is when their tip rapidly decreases.

Great drinks at a great price. Im not a huge fan of Chinese food in general but there food is pretty good. They drinks are great though and not over priced at all. We love going here because they can sit large groups in the back. Great time over all!

Great place to go and eat with friends. Great prices and food is good. Only complaint was the waitress said my tables tip wasnt good enough. She wanted more than 15$ tip for a three person table . Dont beg for tips, work for them!!!!

Manager told us to sit wherever we wanted in the bar. Waitress came over and kicked us out of "her" section. It was Saturday night, and half the bar was empty...

The food was gross. Beef on a stick was red and under cooked and my little brother got sick and also my grandmother. Never will go there again.
