I love crisp-fried Korean-style chicken. Ive even had very good Korean chicken at other branches of this chain. But this one was terrible. The chicken itself was OK. But the basement setting and the tables which smelled strongly of some industrial-strength cleaning liquid are a complete turn-off. The tables have built-in cooking stations, but those dont work. Out of curiosity, we tried their Tteok Bokki, which is a bizarre concoction of rice cakes and some sort of seaweed-wrapped noodles served with a tomato-chili sauce and cheese on top. It was awful. No beer or wine, and they were out of non-alcoholic beer when we went. Avoid.

Ill change my rating when they get their liquor license and when they can do me the favor of not only doing half and half sauce distribution. I mean you can do it at Buffalo wild wings and hooters, and ruby Tuesdays. Just make it ten and 20. I ordered an extra large, Im not asking for you to dive up a small order. Anyway, their grill didnt work either. I ended up coming back and changing this rating to 1 star. Food was a C which is dissapointing cause Ive had some amazing Bonchon in NYC. We had soups, rice, chicken, and sides. All were plain and lacking. Dont go.

I love my Korean chicken wings, and I usually like BonChon, but this is not one of their better locations. I loved my BonChon in LA, but this one is just somehow not as good. The flavors are a bit lacking here, and the location is also strange. Its at the basement level of this building near Harvard Square, and walking down theres a subtle waft of some unpleasant aroma. Inside the restaurant, it felt more like a sports bar than a Korean fried chicken joint. I would still go since its the closest one to me, but dont judge korean chickens by this one.

Terrible service, terrible chicken. I was looking for a good chicken joint by the Harvard area and saw this was one of the only ones. Being Korean myself, I thought I would enjoy this place but GOOD GOD. The food is actually just terrible. Service was done by people who didnt care for their jobs or custom er service which probably made my liking of the food to be worse. Wouldve gave a 1 star but the edamame were ok, but then again how do you ruin edamame. Will never eat here again. I advise caution to anyone that is interested.

Bon Chon is best known for their Soy Garlic Fried Chicken and that is what I have tried on the 3 occasions I have been. Its good, very good, dont get me wrong. But it is not the second coming of chicken as some of the obsessed will tell you about this place. Needless to say if you are in Harvard Square and craving some chicken definitely stop in here, their to go boxes convenient.

Initially I was pretty unsatisfied with Bonchon. As a Korean, the majority of Korean food that I had had was not very good. The pajeon was too doughy, the bibimbap vegetables not fresh, and everything just tasted on the whole very American. That being said, I have grown to appreciate Bonchons chicken, especially the spicy one. Dont underestimate it. Its great late night food.

Service at Bon Chon was both fast and slow. The food for the five of us came out relatively fast, but the check came out relatively slow (even after we had requested it). The staff was nice - they greeted us when we entered and said bye when we left (its shocking how uncommon this is). While Ill return because of its convenient location, Id prefer to go to Koreana instead.

Terrible! I never experience a Korean restaurant does not seve side dishes! I ordered a seafood bibimbap. It doesnt tast fresh, and I think the chest forgot to add salt!!! I have to ask for salt and paper to cook in the bowl by myself!!! The kimchi fired rice does not tast good either! No recommend to any of my friend at all!!!

I have never experienced Korean restaurant serves only tofu soup and rice without any side dish. They forget to bring a spoon and forgot again until I asked them 3 times. Expensive price, dissatisfactory food and terrible service. I would Never recommend here to anybody!

I would give them a negative star if I could. I ordered Japchae, they took the liberty of including plastic strips in it! Heres the clincher, they even asked if I want a new one instead! After what happened you think id trust them again...

Great times with friends here over chicken. I found the other food they had hear a little underwhelming, but the chicken is nice. A bit expense be for fried chicken, but the good times with friends gives it an edge to 4/5 instead of 3/5.

The wings! Oh sweet cosmos the wings! Theyre done so well ! Light, brimming with whichever flavor you ordered and somehow having some light crunch to it! Order whatever you want off the menu. But please dont skip the wings!

Super crispy glazed chicken wings are the best! The rest of the menu seems like a "greatest hits album" of Korean cuisine, but its not bad. The tteok-bokki with mozzarella is a bit strange, but strangely works.

The chicken itself is delicious and spicy, but the space is a bit terrifying. In the basement, a bit smelly (sewage?). Definitely a one-star experience if the food itself wasnt good.

Would not seat 4 out of 5 despite open tables and no description of specials etc. Rude. No hot sauce available for on the side either. Also, automatic 18% tip on party of 5?

Not nearly as good as the location in Allston, still go for the chicken though. They have yet to update their menu to the modernized one offered at other locations.

Good but definitely not as good as it used to be :( the service is pretty quick but the japchae was bland and the fried chicken not was flavorful as it used to be.

People were nice but oh my goodness the place is so dirty. I even saw a more run under the table before I got my food. I will only visit the Brighton Bon Chon now.

Decent food. But the service here is so slow. Took forever to get anything. Order a drink that apparently never got place. Very disorganized service system.

Something about those drum sticks and wings! The batter is great, crispy and flavorful outside, moist and delicious inside. Yum. Take out super quick too.

Drumsticks are so good I died and had to do this review from hell. I promise not going to heaven had nothing to do with BonChon, though.

After more than 2 hours waiting for the delivery of our food, we cancelled. This place shouldnt claim they do delivery. Horrible.

Typical BonChon. Great Korean-style friend chicken. I also really like the coleslaw (weird?) they give as a side dish.

One of the original places for KFC opened up in the Boston area! Can be hit or miss, but when it hits, it hits good

Pretty good late-night option! I enjoyed the spicy chicken tenders. Not a great location though, in the basement.
