How often are the prices, service, and quality all worth 5 stars? I would say never. Unless you are at Bottega Fiorentina! I can usually find something to complain about, but I cant find anything here. Service- You can sit in or get take out. Either way, it comes out in under 4 minutes (today, my food came out by the time I had paid, poured myself a cup of water, and sat down). It is also piping hot. The manager was there one of the last times I came, and I had trouble deciding what to get so he gave me suggestions. Food- Ive had their Penne Michaelangelo (penne, chunky tomato sauce, balls of mozzarella, and basil) and their famous sauce on penne, the Fedora sauce (cream, tomato sauce, rosemary, red pepper flakes). Each was under $7 and more than I could finish (today I finished mine, but I was stuffed full). They are fresh, delicious, never over cooked or lacking in seasoning. The atmosphere is nice, sort of pain jane with some window seating and a big wooden picnic table in the middle. They also sell bread, baked goods, salads/pastas in a refrigerated case, and italian products (pasta, beans, canned tomatoes). The staff is friendly and quick. For the love of god, please go and have yourself some delicious local italian food!

Hit of Miss but great when you really just need some food quickly for cheap. Their pastas and sauces are decent and come with bread, nice variety to choose from as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer Gluten Free pasta as well. Their sandwiches arent the best I have had but fresh, they do the trick. They take credit cards which is nice and they have some low key seating when you are super hungry and dont want to takeout. I have found everyone here super nice and accommodating. Their pastas Wed and Sunday for 4.99 sound like a fantastic deal.

Given the previous reviews, I was anxious to try this place, so I split a Bottega sandwich with my mom. It was just barely edible. The bread was low quality, the filling of proscuitto and mozzarella had almost no flavor except for something slightly spoiled and musty. Yuck. Maybe the take home pasta specials are great, but do not bother with the sandwiches. There are plenty of great places for all types of Italian food, from pizza to caprese paninis, to high end Northern Italian cuisine....but this is not one of them.

It is about time we reviewed our favorite restaurant in all of Boston! I can not say enough wonderful things about their pasta and the people who work here. The food we have is always excellent and the friendliness is top notch. Our favorites are the Arabiata sauce with either wild mushroom ravioli or smoked mozzarella ravioli, the foccacia, the Giglio sauce with any pasta, and the fedora sauce! Everything is so good, you need to eat here!!

Perfect spot for a quick meal of the highest quality. Portions arent huge, but it wont cost you much so you can always get two entrees or try a rice ball. The homemade pasta and sauces are fresh. I came two days in a row because I wanted to try more. Everyday there are different specials as well. If you want to taste heaven, gnocchi with carbonara sauce. Trust me.

I finally decided to give this place a shot after having walked by it countless times. Figuring I couldnt go wrong with a caprese sandwich, I forked over $8 and eagerly awaited my lunch. Sadly, what I recieved was a few slices of mozzarella and tomatoes in a hot dog bun served on a paper plate. Needless to say, I wont be coming back any time soon.

So Ill start with my wife LOVES this place. Shed gladly eat here two or three nights a week. In fact when we first started dating I think we did eat there that often. Clean space, friendly staff, but limited seating. The food is consistently good with regular day of week dishes that i find fulfill the need for comfort food.

This is my personal favorite place to eat in Boston. Not because its fancy or spacious, but because its genuine Italian food served by genuine Italians. It can be hard to find an old small town feel in a people-dense place like Boston, but this place pulls it off. And with Orangina.

What a place it could be with such a cozy ambiance. However staff is rude, ordered a pasta, wasnt cooked properly and when I told the manager he said that it was cooked al dente, when in fact it was just very very undercooked from al dente. Not so expensive

Plate of pasta with 3 chunks of overcooked zucchini and the equivalent of one sliced button mushroom billed as porcini in a bland tomato sauce for $8 (Fettuccini Tuscano). Grated cheese on counter smelled moldy. Disappointing after such high ratings.

Cozy, friendly, delicious, satisfying. At first I thought this place was more of a mom and pop supermarket, but then I discovered their daily assortment of pastas and sandwiches. Now it is one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommended!

We ordered five items but they only gave us four they did not have the courtesy to check for us by the time we had gotten home we realized that they had only given us four now we had to drive all the way back. They should have checked.

This place is amazing, the owners are Italian and you can taste a real Italian pasta here! The pasta I ate was amazing and I barely remember that I had tasted anything close to that anywhere else in US before! Everyone Must Try!

Small. Informal. But the pasta and sauce stand toe-to-toe with any place in the north end, at a fraction of the price. The kind of homey spot youd visit if you were abroad, and rave about...but in the middle of Coolidge.

I love this place. Its small and cozy and the food is really good and cheap. Also, every Wednesday and Sunday they have special offers! Lastly, if you want an extra something at the end of your meal, try the tiramisu.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the Gnocchi with the house specialty (Fedora) sauce. Served with hand sliced, freshly baked bread, this was a terrific lunch! I will definitely return.

Very good traditional Italian food that tastes like homemade for good prices. Good espresso and cannoli. Friendly people.

Crazy fresh, incredibly authentic Florentine cooking. A little reluctant to tell other people about this place, actually.

Great, speedy and friendly service. They have the great Wednesday and Sunday specials ($4.99 pasta with tax:$5.12).
