This has to be creepiest place you can go for a coffee. I used to go here quite frequently until I "caught the eye" of the creepy looking, short owner. Hes always there and wears glasses. Heres my story: I always used to get a seat by the bar, put my purse and bag on the floor and open my laptop. I put on my earphones so that no one would bother me. Initially he just frequently walked past by me. I didnt think much, maybe he was just working. Then one day when I had my ear phones off, hed say "hi". I said hi back. Then in the following days he would just ask more questions and get more chatty. I just categorized him as a normal desperate guy. But then he would always crack jokes, try to get personal and invite me to events. He would introduce me to his fat, old friends who would come to this cafe. This was just getting really creepy. My other girlfriends have said the same thing and we have stopped going here. I told him once Im uncomfortable and he got really defensive, but his behavior in coming days didnt change. I eventually stopped going. If you ever go this place, notice how he always only talks nicely to pretty women. To all the others, he couldnt care to give a smile. Dont believe me, just observe next time. If you are anything other than a mildly attractive woman, this creepy guy wont even look at you, say hi, or give a smile. He is just looking to have sex with girls from his pathetic cafe. This is for all the women out there. If you want to go to a place without getting harassed and being able to get a coffee without feeling objectified, dont go here. In fact, run away from this place. I think with the world we live in, we women should be comfortable going to a place of business without feeling like sexual predators are out to get us. Ladies, am I right? Have any of you women ever felt this way? Or guys, have you seen this creepy owner creeping on women? Post here with your story. Lets expose this jerk. Or if you are a guy, has he ever said hi or welcome to you? He will be all around pretty girls at his cafe welcoming them while treating others with disrespect.

The Place is nice but has the most UNPLEASANT and DISAGREEABLE owner; We were seating a group of friends and one of us had a laptop, and he apparently had a little sign saying that people seating next to the window should not have laptops after 5pm !! not only the rule makes no sense, but I am also pretty sure it is illegal to decide what people should or should not do inside, when the thing they are doing is not illegal by law ( next thing you know he will say no black people inside, I am the owner and I decide who should and should not get in !!.) . When we tried to explain that the place was full and we had nowhere else to go, he yelled this was not negotiable and left !!!! Anyway, terrible place, will never be back again, no one wants to be treated like this !

If I could give this place a 0 I would! This place is horrible. I used to like it until I got EXTREMELY SICK from their food. I spoke with Anil the owner directly and he said he would take care of the situation. 2 months later and I still have not received any type of comp for the food I bought, gift card that he offered, nor did I receive compensation for having to miss work due to their horribly stored food. They food was old and disgusting and made me sick almost immediately. DO NOT EAT HERE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! There are TONS of coffee shops, DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO JAHO!!!

You can tell that these guys are obsessed with coffee. Theyre roasting their own beans in the shop and making just about every type of specialty coffee drink you can imagine (Japanese cold brew, pour over, and vacuum brews). Ive been going pretty regularly for a large pot of loose leaf tea and the environment is great for work. Comfortable seating, good acoustics, and plenty of outlets. The staff is super friendly too. Order something funky and then ask them to explain how theyre making it.

Jaho is a nice little cafe situated in the outskirts of Chinatown that serves coffees of different sorts. I had their spanish latte, which was served in a cute, pink cup. The coffee was not spectacular by any means, but if youre just looking for a quick cup of coffee, this place isnt bad. The decor isnt bad, but it doesnt feel like theyve used the space very efficiently. They do have chargers though, so people are able to sit there and work.

I am addicted to their White Mocha Latte ever since I stumped on this hot spot with my girlfriends after dinning at a near by hotpot. I had the decaf version of the White Mocha Latte 3 times and never disappointed. The coffee beans are freshly grinned as you order. Cant wait to try non-decaf version. I am sure it will blow my mind away consider how good the decaf was

I have never been offered a glass of water that is so small when asking twice for a glass of water. Terrible service, deceptive upselling, people hogging tables for four when they are alone with their laptops and snooty baristas. Skip this place and go to Sip up the street if you want affordable wine and a place for conversation. AWFUL PLACE!!!!!!

I had one of the best afforests here! I fell in love with the drink. The line was way too long and people are in a hurry. I did not have time to order anything else because the place was way to fast paste. I would have loved to sit and relax but it was too crowded. I would like to give it another try when its not too crazy.

Jaho is my new regular spot, be it for an iced coffee and sandwich or a quick glass of wine in the evening. Great food, great coffee, good wine/beer selection, and the staff is very friendly and eager :) Come visit! Theyll also roast beans every once in a while and its quite the experience.

Good place to work near cheap eats and Boston commons/theaters. Wifi is consistent. Coffee and tea taste average but come in a large selection. Staff seem generally happy to be there and are accommodating to my requests for water or to watch my stuff. 2 restrooms are consistently clean.

Good place to study or do work especially on a laptop. some parts can be dark but if you choose a spot under a light should be good for reading/writing without a backlight. I got a bear design on the foam for my cappuccino. Shouldve took a picture, next time I guess.

The atmosphere is nice and they have comfy couches. I had the soy maple chai latte and it was only ok. Its a nice spot with free WiFi. Ill go again to try out more of their menu. I might have better luck with some of the coffee

Significantly larger than the South End location and there is free Wi-Fi. Never had an issue finding seating, but I do not always come at peak hours. Drinks are consistent. but I come here mainly because of available seating.

Since its opening, Jaho became my favorite spot for studying and friends gathering. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The Syphon coffee they have is one of the best coffees I ever had. Pumpkin beer is fantastic too (;
