I drink a lot of nice coffee, and rarely am I impressed repeatedly with a particular roaster. Most places happen upon a good batch here and there, but are unable to deliver consistently. After drinking a life-changing cup of Gracenote coffee a year ago at La Brasa in Somerville, Ive been excited to see this shop open downtown. They know what theyre doing with bean selection and roasting, and are concerned for their customer having the absolute best coffee experience. When I went to buy a bag of whole-bean, I mentioned my experience at La Brasa. The staff member knew exactly which variety I was looking for, informed me that it was not currently in their rotation, asked me what I liked about it, and directed me to something similar... "But if you want something wild, go with that one" she said. I went with her suggestion and was blown away.

Excellent coffee, excellent staff, plenty of options. They now offer cashew milk in addition to almond milk, which is really nice. If youre really into the specifics of coffee, this is he place to go. They document and experiment with different coffee variables, to make sure theyre getting things right: they look at the ratios of coffee to milk, have very specific ways of making each drink, and even experiment with the weight of coffee before and after they place it into the machine. Very cool. Note: this is a place to get a great cup of coffee and maybe have a short conversation with a friend or the barista, but not a place to sit down and do work. There are no places to sit, and no wifi or tables; its just a small corner that strictly serves high quality artisan coffee - and thats their thing.

Ive followed San and @thecoffeetrike to their roving locations over the last few years to get my espresso fix. Besides the wine like experience with my espresso or latte, the warmth, care and attention to detail are inspiring and add something to the ineffable to each cup. Now the trike has a home called Gracenote! And its beautiful, inviting, expertly designed and has what I would now say is the best espresso experience in all of Boston. This is what craft is all about, the pursuit of excellence. This is coffee worth a detour.

Very serious about opening right at 9, and leaving customers to wait in the blowing snow. The employee "Tom" took offense when we made a comment about it. He said that in the service industry, its about being ready to serve, and opening on time over opening early and asking customers to wait a few while they finish getting ready. Dont get here before 9:05 they are not ready to serve until then. Despite the questionable service, the espresso was great! If possible Id rate the coffee five stars, and the service two.

What Gracenote lacks in size, it makes up for with high-quality coffee, and a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good cold brew, great espresso drinks and brewed coffees. Drinks enjoyed at the cafe are served in beautiful, handmade pottery from the Maine Kiln Works, which is a unique and classy touch. Gracenote roasts their own beans, so its also a good spot to pick up a bag of beans to make on your own.

I was very surprised by the disaster I witnessed. The reviews are amazing, which is why I went and expected a spectacular culinary experience. However, the food was mediocre. The entrees tasted like popular supermarket frozen food. Furthermore, the ambiance set by the waiters was cold; I literally received no smile during my entire dinner. Pathetic.

Simply the best coffee and baristas in Boston. You wont get a better macchiato or cortado than this place. Friendly and definitely worth the money. Be warned this place has been discovered so youll often have to wait in line while finance people order their iced coffee. Still its worth every minute waiting and every penny spent.

Delicious coffee, roasted by the people serving it, makes for very interesting and deep conversations about coffee, taste and other topics. Very well prepared and balanced espresso, flat white and filter (batch brew). Small space, with limited counter seating, but with great views out the window for snowy afternoons.

Gracenote is arguably Bostons best Microroaster. While the food may be limited and the space is small, I make a point of stopping by every time Im in the neighborhood. Ive only had their espresso, so I cant speak to their normal roasts. But the espresso is incredibly rich and creamy, with a nice punch of flavor.

Really food coffee and pastry. I found this place on GoogleRatings however, not one review made it clear that it was only takeaway. Even some of the pictures were deceiving, so I arrived straight from the airport with my expecting to sit down and do some work on my laptop. No seats. No wifi. Great coffee.

Gracenote is a beautiful space with delicious coffee. While it can be a bit tricky to find the first time, once you wander in off the street youll be greeted by smiling staff that will expertly brew up coffee, espresso, a variety of specialty drinks, or tea.

Only two blocks away from south station. This is the best coffee spot in the area. If youre looking for meticulously roasted single source coffees and straight forward espresso drinks, you will not be disappointed here. Their Cortado is one of my favorites.

Used to goto Coffee Trike all the time and these are the same people. Staff are awesome and knowledgeable and their constantly rotating coffee features make sure you are never bored! Will continue going here anytime I am by South Station.

The best coffee in Boston, absolutely no contest. Its the first place Ive found in the USA that makes an espresso coffee the Australia way (the best way). Also has a great banana bread and other delicious looking pastries.

Hidden near Chinatown and the leather district is this little gem. Espresso based coffee beverages are probably one of the best in Boston. Staff is very friendly. Just have a look for the little Gracenote sign and enjoy.
