Before tonight, I had ordered from here one other time when the restaraunt first opened. I definitely was not impressed with the food or the price but I chalked it up to being a new, inexperienced facility. I usually go to Papa Joes but since theyre closed on Sundays, I gave Cinco de Mayos another shot. Tonight I ordered a steak burrito and kids quesadilla meal. $14 and $7 somehow totaled over $25. The steak burrito was filled with very little steak and an abundance of fried peppers and onions. The kids meal was cold and the fries were soggy. A generous portion of tortilla chips was provided, however, the small salsa container was not nearly enough to match the quantity of chips for pairing. To add insult to injury, the little cup wasnt even filled completely. Also, for any chips & salsa lovers like me, the salsa has more of a chipotle flavor. On a more positive note, the staff were friendly despite an obvious understaffing issue. I really hope for the sake of the business, that I have just had bad luck with this place because I wont take another chance on a third disappointment by ordering there again.

This place is TERRIBLE. When we walked in the music was so loud I thought I would lose my hearing. We went to our table and got our chips and salsa. The chips had no flavor at all and the salsa was practically blended tomatoes. When lunch came everything was bad. The chicken quesadillas had no cheese, the chicken looked and tasted like pulled pork, and the tortilla was falling apart. The tostada had the same terrible chicken on it and the whole thing liquefied in my mouth. The side rice was flavorless. The enchilada was also tasteless, and the black beans were refried. Cinco de Mayo also has terrible service. The food came quickly, but our server was so ignorant. We we asked him where the cheese was on the quesadillas, he just said it comes with cheese and left. When we left, there was this nasty chicken bone on the bench outside which made the place look as disgusting as it is. I am NEVER going back here again. I DO NOT recommend this place, it is the worst Mexican food Ive ever had.

As a Texan visiting MD, this is the WORST Mexican food I have EVER had in my life!!!! Its an INSULT to Mexicans. The only Mexican thing about it was the music. This is how it goes down. 1. The salsa was sweet like right out of a tomato can. 2. The "flour tortillas" were FAKE, out of a plastic bag. 3. The rice tasted like instant rice with no seasoning. 4. The meat portions are very small for the price and SUPER salty. 5. The beans also out of a can and SUPER salty. 6. Poor service, was very slow. 7. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable. 8.... ......Im sorry I cant continue, Im feeling sick just talking about it. Point is, we are NEVER EVER coming back....ever.

Its really irritating when a server completely ignores me and has forgotten everything that I have asked for so far and I have had had to ask twice for everything because he has his head so far up his ass being worried about 3 women at a table across the room. He checks on then between 3 and 4 times to my one. Then when he does finally come around for the second time I had to remind him that I needed a drink and that I would also like some salsa. Then the third time he graced me with his presence I had to remind him about the damn salsa that he still hasnt brought out 15 minutes later as I sit here waiting while I type this.

My wife and I went for an early dinner last evening. Neither of us are real knowledgeable about Mexican fare, so we ordered items that we had had elsewhere to make a comparison, I had beef chimichangas and my wife had chicken fajitas. Everything was quickly prepared, fresh and hot, visually appealing and most of all delicious, My wife had to take about 1/2 of hers home, I was quite sated. Staff was pleasant, attentive without being excessive, and quick. Price was very fair. Our daughter and son-in-law have been a number of times and have been amazed on each visit. We will be back.

We were in on a Sunday night. Our waitress had a large table and spent all her time on it. She walked within three feet of out table several times and never checked to see if we needed anything or how our food was. The food was OK, but not great. The rice had peas in it, which I thought was strange. My spouse had the fajitas and it came with some guacamole which she said was good. The salsa is thin, but has a good flavor. I had a fajita burrito and it had very little meat, it was mostly peppers. I will not be returning.

I lived abroad for 3 months in Latin America, and this is the closest Ive eaten to authentic Latino cuisine in the states! Prices reflect the quality of the food, service, and authentic atmosphere. I LOVE this place... Plus, I get to speak Spanish with all the employees! It doesnt get any more authentic than that.

The food here is very good. The atmosphere is hectic and loud...making it difficult to have a relaxing meal and conversation. If you announce its your birthday, beware, my head was physically shaken around by an overly excited employee. This may not seem jovial to all. The 3 way combination meal is outstanding!

Good food with good prices. I have been here a few times and had great service almost every time. The one time i didnt have great service almost made me not want to return; if not for the previous visits i might not have. If you ask for hot sauce be aware that it is not the stuff you are used to!

ABSOLUTELY authentic Mexican food and some of the BEST Mexican food Ive had since moving to the east coast from California 12 years ago. The service was prompt and friendly. The food arrived promptly and was ordered. If I werent simply visiting from PA I would eat here every week!

Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Sorry casa Rica, you are now second. Everything is fantastic. The enchiladas are my favorite, but so is the chimichanga(sp?) Free chips and salsa, of course, but try the queso. And think the tortillas are made fresh. They really are excellent.

Great food, didnt have to wait long for it, chips and salsa and drinks were replaced as soon as they were out. The only complaint was the eait to be seated, I came at the busiest time of day time of day and had to wait, if you avoid the peak houts however, youll enjoy it here

Food was good after server got the order corrected. Beverages were good after server was reminded of the order. Salsa needs serious improvement. I got a burrito gordo with fries, which I thought was an odd combination, but the ketchup tasted a lot like the salsa...

This was second time here and both times the food a service was great. If you dont know what you want then get the cinco de mayo special you get a little bit of everything. I really like the pork tacos with the pineapple I crave it.
