This is one of the best restaurant experiences Ive ever had. We were traveling through Thurmont and we came upon Simply Asia. Walking in the restaurant I first noticed how bright, clean, and relaxing (a small fountain is at the entrance, and there is soothing music playing) it was. We ordered the vegetable dumplings, sushi and General Tsos Chicken which all seemed homemade and used fresh ingredients. I also had an iced green tea, which was very refreshing. The presentation of the food was carefully thought out and all of the waitstaff and people working in the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Tried this place for lunch on 5/11/12. Food was average. The service was absolutely terrible; truly nonexistent. Although our party of two was only one of two tables seated, our server completely forgot about us. Only after repeated complaints to management and interminable waits did our food arrive. Predictably, since it was probably left in the kitchen too long it was slightly little warmer than room temperature. The chicken in black bean sauce was greasy, the tofu pad thai was too spicy.

Best Asian food I have had in Frederick and Washington counties ... By a landslide. Slightly pricey but food is high quality. I would rather pay a little more for quality than a little less for average or less than average and sometimes even flat out not enjoyable!!! Happy to have discovered this restaurant. Chicken Basil and Chicken w/cashew are highly recommended. Spring rolls are fresh and yummy. General Tsaos was soggy on carryout but I will just ask for sauce on the side next time.

We just moved to the area from Dallas and think this may be some of the best Asian food weve had in several years. What a great find! The lighting is nice, decor is lovely, the service was great, and our dishes were delicious. Obviously fresh ingredients (beautiful crisp green asparagus and green beans) and thoughtful preparation - nothing was greasy at all. We look forward to coming back often and will definitely try the sushi. Family-friendly or a nice place for a casual date.

Food was good and service was excellent. This is the second time I have been there and there are two issues that could be easily resolved by the chef. First, while seafood and chicken is fine, beef chunks tend to be large and somewhat tough. And the table settings do not include knives ... you have to ask for one ... and it is hard to eat the beef with cutting it. And it is a bit pricy compared to other Chinese restaurants.

This place should be called simply delicious. Everything I have tried is gold. The service is quite nice too. Very well presented food and the staff are very accomodating. I would not pass this gem up if you are ever in the area of Emmitsburg, Frederick, Gettysburg. Try the Thai Basil Chicken and the Thai Curry Chicken. Both are excellent!

You first notice the friendly greeting and nice decor. The real WOW is the great quality and unique preparation of the food. The Thai vegetarian menu is spicy and perfectly prepared. The chef will adjust any menu dish to fit vegetarian needs. The crispy eggplant should win awards. And yes, I love this place! We dine there atleast once a week.

Went there the other day for dinner 08/07/2017 ,and apparently an argument was going on in the kitchen,there was a lot of cussing an FY bombs and MF bombs,was very uncomfortable try to enjoy a expensive dinner with the yelling going in the kitchen, we should of left ,but never going back,not a family restaurant

Food is 3.5 stars and the price drops it down to three. Chicken egg roll was the best part, and even that was too greasy. General Tso chicken was too chewy, the two stalks of broccoli needed steamed longer, and the rice was too dry. $12 for the combo platter is way too pricey for Chinese in a strip mall.

Some of the best chinese food for frederick county. The crab ragoons actually have lump crab meat. The spices used are blended perfectly. The entrees we had were awesome. The service is excellent to top it off. Already recommended this place to several people and they all agree this place is the best!!

I got the General Tsos chicken combo to go. What a waste of money. The chicken was dry and tough, the sauce was overloaded with ginger and the chicken roll was nasty unless you like almost raw shredded cabbage and some dry tasteless chicken in a deep fried spring roll wrapper.

Okay I see others saying how great its is. Get real. Its okay food, its pretty good service, its expensive for the quality, not for the average. Its not bad but nothing special. If you think its that impressive to you, then you need to get out of thurmont.
