Really cute decor. Looked clean and well stocked with napkins, utensils, sauce, etc. All one needed was some decent food. We had pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad. The pulled pork was so salty both of us couldnt eat much of it. The potato salad had some undercooked potatoes in it and not much else, pretty bland. We paid $1.00 each for cole slaw on our sandwiches which I ve never heard of in a bbq joint. However, the cole slaw was the best part of the meal. We did not complain to anyone, were just not ever going back. We were disgusted and still hungry.

Ok I will be brutally honest. Visiting the area with the family and was looking for a local place for dinner. I took the reviews with a grain of salt and wanted to prove them wrong. After I tend to agree with most of them. The girl taking the order really could care less about helping us understand the menu and got pissy when I asked questions. My wife tried the tacos and said the beef was tough and inedible. The ribs were decent. Not sure how this place was rated so high with Zagat. For being a foodie, disappointed.

They gave me pale, fatty brisket and I politely asked for either a different cut or a different choice of meat. The server insists that I should have asked for brisket with the fat cut off. This was said despite the fact the brisket my boyfriend got looked nothing like mine (he did not ask for this) nor was the rest of the meat I saw given out as pale as mine. the fat was not cut off, they just cooked the brisket longer. The macaroni was dry. Despite all this I highly recommend the greens and the cornbread

It does not get any better then this.We drive from Ellicott City,Md. every week and we take our friends, who tell us that this place serves the best ribs and BBQ in the area.We called Urban BBQ the day before a Md.U Fooball Game and told them to give us a mix of items for our tail gate party of about 25 fans. Well we only had 15 people show up. All that we had left over were bones and pans. Fans from both sides in the parking lot joined us and told us it was the best they had in a long time.

Loud, not very clean. Stale peanuts. Cornbread was too moist and tasteless. Meats werent bad but very greasy. Pork and beef were tender but both meals had pretty large fatty chunks. Dont bother with the Virginia honey draft root beer if you like typical root beers. French fries were whole cut potatoes and not overly salted or greasy, guess they saved the grease for the meat. Cost $22 for 2 meats, 2 sides, 2 breads and 2 drinks. That seemed a little steep for fast food.

I brought a two plate platter with pull pork and beef brisket, The brisket and pull pork was very dry. The cut of the brisket was to thick, the pull pork was dry and seem a little old, my sides were mac & cheese and chopped cole slaw. The mac & cheese was dry and cover up with cheese sauce who does that! My chopped cole slaw had no flavor and dry. Never again Mission BBQ is the place to go and i spend $15 on this lunch. WOW

ive gone here 2 times and those 2 times my food was not made properly . my first visit i ordered a simple burger the bun was vary cold and the burger nearly fell apart .my secound visit i ordered a pulled pork sandwich the meat was cold and it was a vary small sandwich given the fact i paid almost 9 dollers ............save your money this location does not prepare the food well

Like one of the previous post..., if you are craving meat, this is a good place to come, but maybe on a particular day when the meat is cooked with care and love. My mom stated that the hotdog was not as good as our first visit. The french fries are not "thoroughly" cooked. I wouldnt say that the prices are reasonable for what you get.

Nice place. Good food. Totally undertrained personnel taking and delivering orders. Half of them speak very poor english and this is simply a work in progress. They have everything but the service part figured out. Slightly pricey too....over $10 for a chicken sandwich with fries and a medium drink.

Stingy. We ordered $70 with of food and when we asked for a little extra salad dressing they insisted on a $1 charge. Sadly a complete lack of hospitality, southern or northern. It puts a bad taste in your mouth that ruins the food.

Found this place by accident one day when going to the HUGE thrift store next door. It is very unassuming from the outside. The food was good. The portions were a bit smaller than I am used to. Chicken was a bit anorexic :)

The meat is all just ok and not worth the FOOD POISONING! My brother in law and I both got sick after eating this last night. He got a really fatty cut of brisket and I got pulled chicken. I have been in bed all day.

Dont waste your time! Drive on by...as posted earlier girl taking orders could care less about customer service food was emptied into paper trays from saran wrap after being microwaved. Worst ever!!!!!!!

This stands out in a neighborhood that needs some good restaurants. We usually get a couple things to bring home and I occasionally get a salad to go when Im heading to work. Beats fast food by a mile!
