I was hungry and had my eyes set out on Bar Louie since I havent been there in over 3 years. As you enter the restaurant, theres a sign saying to seat yourself. At every table, theres menus with up to four menus. My mom and I wanted to sit at a regular table but the restaurant was very smoky by the kitchen so we ended up sitting at a high top table near the bar. In my opinion, they have a great happy hour menu - $3.25 for beers, $4.25 for wines by the glass, $5.25 for specialty cocktails, and half priced flatbreads and selected appetizers. The food and service was good but the womans bathroom needed to be maintained better - toilets were clogged and it smelled like mold / mildew. Our server Allie was friendly, polite, and attentive. I liked how she reminded us that happy hour was ending in 15 minutes and asked if we wanted to add anything. For drinks, Id recommend the Smores and Strawberry Peach Bellini. The Strawberry Peach Bellini consisted of strawberry flavored vodka, prosecco, white peach puree, and pure cane syrup, and it was garnished with three fresh raspberries. It was sweet and fruity but quite strong at the same time. For food, we shared a Roasted Vegetable Flatbread, Backyard Burger, and Monaco Salad. The Roasted Vegetable Flatbread consisted of a flatbread brushed with a fresh spinach and artichoke sauce and topped with tomato, mushroom, basil, balsamic onions, provolone, and mozzarella. I liked how it was a white pizza and that it was perfect for sharing. Since Tuesday is $1 burger with the purchase of a beverage, I was contemplating between a Backyard Burger and Portobella Burger and went with the Backyard Burger but didnt realized it was an additional $3.50. The Backyard Burger consisted of a thick beef patty topped with tangy BBQ sauce, a slice of cheddar cheese, and fried onion strings. It usually comes with bacon but since Im allergic to pork I had to skip it.?It came on a toasted sweet bun with tomato and pickles. For the side, you had a choice of seasoned tots, fries, or salad (for an additional fee). I chose tots seasoned with potato seasoning which made it salt and peppery. The Monaco Salad consisted of field greens, apple, red grapes, red and yellow grape tomatoes, and cucumber tossed in a homemade vinaigrette. I liked how the vinaigrette was sweet, tart, and creamy!

Drinks seemed fine, but the service and food were terrible. No one greeted us as we walked in and we stood around for a bit. In a totally empty restaurant, the bartender seemed annoyed to have to take our to-go order so we decided to take a seat. Once we did, the hostess overcharged us for kids meals when we ordered sides of mac ncheese from the menu for kids who had already eaten. Our flatbread came with scallions despite us ordering it without. The food took forever and was cold by the time we got it. It had obviously been sitting under a lamp for along time because the "seared" tuna was a brown mess thoroughly cooked all the way through with not a hint of pink anywhere to be seen. When we pointed these things out to the server, she said she had put it in correctly but didnt know what had happened. After waiting 35 minutes a restaurant where we were the only customers, we didnt want to wait any longer and just choked the food down so we could get out. Havent had a worse restaurant experience in the last few years. We will not be back.

We came here last Friday after being completely ignored at the little tapas place across the street. The bar was very crowded so we opted for a table near the bar. We took full advantage of the happy hour special and got drinks and 3 1/2 priced appetizers to split. The boneless wings were really good--perfect amount of sauce and spice. The flat-bread was awesome. So freakin yummy. The quesadilla was big, but kinda bland. Our waitress was friendly, but a little slow. Just as a side-note: they were all dressed kinda skanky, but maybe thats what Bar Louie is going for. Anyway, we werent really in a rush, so it worked for us. The services wasnt the best, but it wasnt horrible either. She even swung by the table at the end of happy hour as sort of a HH Last Call. Id definitely come back.

We went in around midnight for a drink and late dinner Tuesday the 3rd. The bartender had long curly hair and was the only one at the bar. She gave us absolutely zero regard/attention after we sat at the bar. We had to ask a waiter to ask for her attention after sitting for nearly 8 minutes. After taking our drink order she took her time chatting with another guy across from us. After we finally received our drinks she disappeared again to the other side of the bar and didnt check on us until we gave up and asked for the check. Perhaps the worst service I have received ever. She needs training or soon this place will be out of business. I will not be coming back to this bar or ever recommend it to anyone.

The environment is kinda neat and the wait staff is friendly. I wouldnt go back, though. I went there after seeing an advertisement for their dollar burgers that showed a bi, honkn burger loaded with fixings, and found out that the dollar only gets you bread, patty, and lettuce. Everything you add adda more money. So to to get the burger shown on the advertisement, you actually have to pay more like 5 bucks. False advertising. Which is almost as bad as the twelve dollar calamari, which was no joke, HALF LETTUCE. Maybe 18 little pieces of squid and a heaping pound of lettuce. For $12. Whomp.

The service is the worst Ive ever experienced. I walked in with a few friends on a Sunday night, the place was EMPTY except for 2 other patrons at the bar. Nobody greeted us, we sat ourselves at a bar side table, still nothing. We then ventured to the bar and the bar tender thought her conversation was more important that doing her job.... So, we left and had a choice of about 4 or 5 other places that were happy to receive our business. This was not the first time I have received poor service at this establishment either. I will not return....

This place is a reasonable place for lunch or happy hour but I am not a huge fan of the quality of the food here and the service can also use some improvement during busy times. I do like the location and the open/patio seating when its nice out. This particular time my coworker and I were here for lunch. We also had a Sangria each and shared the loaded Nachos and Calamari. Both the Nachos and Calamari were ok, but just ok. It was nice to have a refreshing adult beverage in the middle of the day though!

So many other places you can go. Why go here? I lived in the town center for a long time. Somehow i always ended up here once a month and I was always disappointed. The food is terrible. Always. The bar staff normally has me scratching my head as i usually leave frustrated looking for a place where a bartender knows what hendricks is and acknowledges my presence. They seem more into talking to each other than making money. Its been like that regardless of who works there or what point in time you refer to.
